System failure! They need an IT guy. The electronic signature system was broken down at four separate desks, and after sitting for an hour, trying to be pleasant, I just walked out of the store. They just flapped their hands and said, what can we do? How about a backup system, to print a form and let me sign it myself? What I could have used was a consultation. I had several questions and issues, but nothing that I couldn’t have figured out without a few pointers. I am glad I saved the fee for something I can do free online. I heard the front desk lady tell a client that they have only experienced help. My tax preparer said this was only her second year. She was nice but looked like she never had a typing class. After taking forever on data entry, she had to consult another man in the office. He left a pile of someone else’s personal paper work on her desk. Online, the office doesn’t have a street address, and the receptionist was clueless on the phone about directions, saying, «It’s right next to the Tom Thumb.» When I came in, i filled out an information card, which has my telephone number on it. They could have saved a bad Unilocal review by me, if they would have taken the time to call after I walked out, and apologize and act like they cared for my business. It’s the first time I have been to an accountant firm in years, and my first with H&R block. I will not go back, and will warn others away from this location.
