I came for their banh xeo and it delivered. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with sprouts and meat inside. HIT THE SPOT! Good banh xeo is very hard to find in Dallas, this is the best so far. They put too much sprouts inside for my liking but thats what you get when you eat out at restaurants. Only get to customize when you make it at home. Also had their egg rolls and it was good! it was so crunchy but they cooked it on high heat and the pork inside wasn’t fully cooked. I didn’t eat the inside because I dont like eating raw pork, too much bacteria. I also had their pandan waffle and it was so good!!!

Banh xeo was good. Clean place to dine in. $ 7.40 for one. If you don’t mind banh xeo to go, try Kim Lan by Hiep Thai shopping center. You get 2 for around the same price. The waffle cake was really good though and it’s $ 2. For that, I’m giving this place 4 stars.

Our order:
Banh Xeo: This was actually the reason we came here but it really is no different than any other place I’ve had it. I actually like Phở 95’s banh xeo better. Still trying to find the best one here in Dallas though.
Bun Rieu: Like some of the soups that I read about here, this one was definitely watered down. I had to keep adding seasoning to my broth to try to make it taste like the soup.
Banh Canh Cua (my bf’s order): He rated this a 5⁄10. Wasn’t anything special besides the seafood itself.
One thing that I did like about this restaurant was the ice tea that they give you instead of water. It was kind of refreshing.

Finally found a place with good «banh xeo», shall I say «Vietnamese crêpe»? It has bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp for filling; served with fresh garnishes (lettuce & mint leaves); and a side of fish sauce. mmMmMmm, it’s so delicious. You have to try :)
I have also tried the following:
Bun cha ca — recommend
Banh canh cha ca — my daughter loves it
Bun bo hue — it’s alright, according to my husband. I personally haven’t try it yet.
Canh bun — i had better, but would recommend
Also they sell pandan waffles, $ 2 each, I had the best in California where they add shredded coconut bits inside but this is doable. You must eat it HOT, otherwise it will harden up and taste like crap lol

«Canh bun» and «banh xeo» are both the best food here!!! Free ice tea and dessert. FYI the Vietnamese waffle (aka banh kep) over here is #1!

Overall: When we are wanting to eat on the lighter side, La Xanh is one of the options that always comes up. We recommend the banh xeo, bun canh, and the waffles, if you’re wanting something sweet afterwards. One of these days we will try some of their items on the menu.
Atmosphere: Small, no frill restaurant on the corner of the shopping center. There’s usually only one server, so service can be a little slow. Food comes out rather quickly though, so it’s not too bad.
Food: Banh xeo and bun canh is what we always get here. The banh xeo shell is thin and crispy which is how I like it and lots of veggies are given with it. An extra bonus from this place is the free tea and the free dessert (che) afterwards. The dessert waffles were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and tasted delicious. The inside reminded us of banh bo nuong.

The seafood noodle was delicious and the service was very friendly! Good place to have a nice bowl of soup to warm yourself up! Oh a added plus they give you this refreshing dessert for free!
