Petmobile Pet Hospital

If you plan on coming in for a shot clinic, especially on a Saturday, be prepared to wait at least an hour and a half. They start at 9am, and I arrived at 8:50am and was still #16. They get through about 12 dogs an hour, because they only have 1 veterinary working. So make sure you arrive very early if you don’t want to wait. They are good about giving quality service but could careless about how quick they are going even when there are 50 ppl waiting with their pets.

The place is so wonderful in so many ways!!!
First, the staff is friendly and caring. They are genuinely kind to the animals and their owners, and are very professional in the way that they do their work. I also received follow-​up communication checking in about a health issue my dog was having, and they offered help if the problem persisted. The day that I went to the vaccination clinic, they were giving away free bandanas to the animals, too — multiple designs and we could pick our own. I have never seen this kind of a gesture at any other vet clinic. FREE bandanas… just because! :) So sweet! Thank you for your kindness.
Next, the place smells (and looks) SO CLEAN as soon as you walk in! The first time I went, it was on one of their Mobile Vaccination Clinic days, which is jam-​packed with people and animals. Considering the amount of animals they take in, I was very impressed with their sanitization.
In response to all of the reviews that complain about this place not being punctual with appointments, etc., it is likely that it happened as a result of giving caring attention to the appointments that were before them. Just read the positive reviews. This is not the kind of place to just blow somebody off for no reason, and I’m sorry to all the people had such a bad experience with Petmobile.
The price of their work is unbeatable! You will not find better work for this price. In my opinion, they are UNDERPRICED, and to have this low-​cost clinic only stems from their desire to give the best care to pets and people in need. Like other reviews said, even if I could afford the most expensive vet, I would not take my pet anywhere else.

I’ve been taking all my animals to Dr. Henson for 20 yrs now. I travel from downtown Dallas to see her. She is the most kind, gentle, thoughtful, caring vet in the world. She has a heart as big as they come! She does in home euthanasia that by far exceeds any expectation. She is so gentle and calm and explains the whole procedure before it happens. It’s very humane how it’s handled. Dr. Henson has been to my home twice for the in home euthanasia and both times she has brought a gift bag with loving pet sentiments which I think is such a caring gesture. She also takes your baby to a wonderful facility for cremation and you receive the ashes within days in a lovely cedar box. I love this Dr and the way she has been with my whole family. She will take her time with you and won’t rob your wallet. She has stayed with me and my pets well after hours HAPPILY. Pet mobile is like the parkland of vet hospitals. The absolute best dr care however, you must be patient with the staff at times because they’re slow. If you look at the big picture– you will see that Dr. Henson is doing the absolute best for low cost.

Even if I was rich, I will always take my pets here. This place gives a lot of bang for the buck, the veternarian doesn’t get better than than the lady who owns this place, she truly loves animals, yes at times it’s full, busy and gets smelly, along with some tacky people sitting around, but as for the services she provides, is wonderful. I love her and I love what she stands and works hard for, when you go, please donate for their adoption program, you get a free calendar. But your animal will be taken care of quickly, nicely, and for as busy as it gets they work hard to keep all care surfaces sanitized at all times. Awesome place.

Dr Henson is AWESOME. I trust her. She gets my vote and five stars !! Keep up the good work… I drive all my pets from downtown Dallas to see her… always have… always will !!

Hate this place! The first time I came here for vaccinations it was a quick process. The last two times coming here for vaccinations have been the worst. They make you wait so long without giving you a time of when you will be seen. The second time coming here I waited about 2.5 hours getting close to 3 hours. I’m here now and I arrived around 9:30 and they told me the vaccination doctor would be here at 11 but to arrive at 10:45. It’s now 12:15 and I still haven’t been seen. My dog gets very anxious just waiting here with all the other animals. It’s just a terrible experience! !

I have a large, rather rambunctious lab. He is not mean… just too friendly. I have been to the clinic a few times over the years because let’s just say, my dog gets himself into things. The staff is friendly; they treat my large, rather playful dog as well as they treat the small, angelic puppies. If the wait is long, and it often is, and I choose to wait outside or walk my dog, they agree to call me when it is near our time. I have no complaints about the wait; this is a low cost clinic, and people who want to get in and out quickly should go to the many nearby vets who charge twice as much for the same care. They do good work here, and they seem to genuinely care about animals. I have boarded my dog here, as well and have been happy with that service, too. I see some people complaining about how they waited long, or how their animals may not have been cured. Seriously, these are vets and vet techs. They can not promise cures, control how long a surgery may take, know about emergency situations that may arise, or treat your animals if you can not pay them. They can do no more for a pet than a doctor can do for a person.
They do good work at fair prices and genuinely seem to care about animals. The place may not be fancy, but it is clean. They allow people who do not make a lot of money to care for their pets.

This place sucks. I travelled from Carrollton to come here and had a scheduled appointment at 4:00 PM. I arrived at 3:50. It is now 5:00 PM as I write this and we still haven’t been seen. What’s the point if having an appointment if it’s not honored? The staff has done nothing to calm my now barking english pointer down or to assure me, «I will be seen soon.»
Bottom line. Fuck this place.
I know as soon as I will be seen, someone is going to guide us into a small room and we’ll probably wait another 30 – 45 mins privately in that room.

I called PetMobile a few days ago to see what I could do to get my rescue a prescription for heart worm medication. I was told to bring him to a shot clinic with his papers showing that he had been tested in the last year along with the kind of medication he’s been on & the vet would write a prescription after she had met with us and established a patient relationship. I repeated this back to the tech I was speaking to to confirm & found that the next clinic was Thursday. The day comes, I take off work early, get up there and explain what I need. The tech at the check-​in table asks someone else what I need to do and I get sent inside to the front desk. The tech at the front desk sends me back outside and the check-​in tech is confused but has me fill out paperwork and wait. The tech that does the weight & temperature told me that I should have gone in to buy meds, I explain that he hasn’t been there before & she says that I do have to wait to see the vet. After another hour of waiting, I go to pay before I can see the vet. The tech told me I should have gone to the front desk & I explain that he hasn’t been there before and she proceeds to tell me that I can’t get what I need and must have been misinformed and need to leave with no other solution to the issue at hand. Out of 6 people I spoke to, no two were able to tell me the same thing. The owner seriously needs to have a team meeting and explain policies to everyone at the same time so there is no confusion. I have been going to PetMobile for 6 years with my cat and have never had this poor of service. Either the clinic needs to hire higher quality employees or the vet needs to make procedures clear to the riff raff that works for her. Yes, they may care about animals but get someone with brains working there.

My dissatisfaction with this place is for a couple of things. First of all — the «splint» that was placed on my mom’s dog’s leg fracture came was terribly unsecured, and came off the night that it was placed. I don’t see how it was immobilizing ANYTHING with as shoddy as it was. When we called, they said they would be charging us for the tape that was used to secure it. If it had been done properly to begin with, we would not have needed to go back in. Fail #1.
So I go in just to find out where the fracture is so that I can replace the splint myself; I’m a nurse, I know how to immobilize fractures, and I am not going to pay for TAPE. Since I was not at the original evaluation, I didn’t know where the break was in order to splint it correctly. So, while I am waiting I saw a lady kick, choke with a leash, then, with crushing force on the pup’s rib cage, pinned her dog between a wall and her knee. When I called her out on it, she tells me that she has to do this, because the dog will pull her down again, and she’s «an old lady.» After suggesting that maybe the sizable dog was an inappropriate pet choice for her if she can’t control it, the office staff got involved. Disheartened that Petmobile on I-​30 tried to «hush» me and rationalized that «well, maybe he’s an aggressive dog.» Funny since he never once barked or lunged at another dog/​person in a crowded waiting room. I would not recommend this Mickey Mouse establishment.

Took my pooch here recently for the reduced price shot clinic. If you have even been to one of these affairs you know they get crowded fast. This was no different-​except that the staff were moving quickly and seemed to all like their jobs,. They were handing out bandanas to all the 4 legged children and oohing and ahhing over all the new «patients» that were there.
My puppy hates getting her shots-​or being around other animals. SHe did not seem to mind it as much here. The lines moved really quickly and the vet asked if I needed anything. I asked how much for flea medicine and she gave me three months of K9 advantage free!
They were all really good with the animals and I will surely be making return trips.

This place is crazy cheap, and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable. It’s a small, rickety storefront operating on a tiny budget, but they do great with what they have. Even if I was rich enough to go to the nicest uptown vet’s office with a wine bar and massaging seats in the lounge, I’d still go here!

I utilize their mobile clinics and you can’t beat their prices. They have numerous mobile sites so it’s easy to find a location that works best for you and the prices are great. Rabies shot is only $ 7. They have monthly specials. For example, this June, you get a free flea treatment with purchase. Last month, we got free heartworm treatment. And, the vets are very nice.

If I could give 0 stars for this establishment I would. I know not all clinics move as quickly as we think they should but this one is ridiculously slow due to the incompetence of the staff. The front staff doesn’t know actual costs of procedures & medications so they quote one thing on the phone and when you get there it’s a different amount (More than quoted). They run out of prescriptions and the front staff couldn’t even work an adding machine. Go somewhere else —

I love this place! It’s about 65% cheaper than any other vet or clinic. Staff is friendly and you can tell they genuinely love interacting with animals. I got a heartworm test, heartworm medicine for six months, rabies shot, and bordetella shot for $ 52! It doesn’t get any better or cheaper than that!
