Not too keen on this place, but my parents love it so I come somewhat regularly with them. Very big and wide open dining area but for some reason they sit everyone very close to each other. Wait staff is always good. Nice friendly and quick. I have never had a bad experience with them. Another huge plus with the place is the complimentary garlic rolls, they are so good you have to pace yourself or else you’ll fill up before your food comes. In addition don’t forget that with most entrees also come with both soup AND salad. However the downside, is the rest of the food. Most the entrees I’ve had are very average. On top of that, they are usually very heavy on the sauces which often overwhelm the rest of the dish. Overall I would say that this place is not that bad, but it’s not that good either.

We went here in hopes of finding a great Italian restaurant to take place of our favorite romantic Italian place that closed. The garlic knots delicious! The soup was okay. The meal was fantastic and service better than most restaurants. A new favorite we will be back.

Excellent! I’ve Been coming here for years even when it was in the old location. Garlic rolls are the best! Great chicken parm and combo tortellini. Make sure you are hungry because these are large portions.

I know I wrote a review already about this place. Here goes again… They have great garlic knot rolls. If you read the other reviews posted here, everyone pretty raves about them. I had some kind of soup that came out with my order which was appetizing. It’s been quite a while since my visit that I can’t recall what I ordered but it was some type of chicken with cheese that was featured in one of the pictures posted. It was very good. I came at night for dinner and the dinner portion was very generous. Had to take most of it to go! This is a very large restaurant with a couple of large private rooms so if you’re having a special event, look into booking a room. Service was fantastic!

I rate this place five star for the immediate hospitable service. The price is just right for the quality and amount of food. Pleasant visit. I will come back.

I have been enjoying this family’s food for at least 30-years and just realized I have never added a review on Unilocal. My apologies. From their days on Walnut St. to their later and current classy location on Buckingham Rd. I have never been served a bad meal or received poor service. Wait staff are professionals. Someone has always made sure each one is professional in appearance and trained. When I want Italian food this is my go to place and I have never been let down getting consistency in the items I regularly enjoy, and having been pleased with each new item tried. To have remained so consistent in their food quality and service over so many years is remarkable. I have not seen this with any other restaurant, even my beloved Benihana that has dropped the ball on a couple of visits. In a group discussion suggest this restaurant for a meal location and every time you will have several people immediately say–«oh my God their garlic rolls are wonderful» and become somewhat legendary to locals. At times I get lunch as take-out, usually their Mozzarella Crispy Chicken Salad with Ranch. Their quality and care shows even in take out. They serve the salad in a tin pie pan with cardboard cover placed in a brown paper sack rolled tight to the chicken warm. The dressing is in a tightly sealed foam container then in it’s own sack as are the rolls. All the smaller sacks go into a larger one. If you want Italian and have not tried this place I recommend it.

Too expensive for the quality. The food is good but not for the price. There are so many other options that are far superior for the price. The service is poor. Where is the Taste of Italy from the beginning. Expand and lose the reason you became good.

According to the signage the restaurant opens at 11AM however when we arrived there, the restaurant was not open so we left and went to seek another restaurant. Not locating one we returned about 20 minutes later and found five cars in the parking lot and decided to venture in. Was seated promptly and our drink order taken. Service was excellent. Ordered the salad with olives and the spaghetti with meat sauce from their lunch special menu. We were served hot rolls, eight for the two of us. The garlic rolls were hot and some of the most delicious we have ever tasted. Great start. The salad was delivered and it was served with olives. Wish I had ask for the dressing to have been on the side as the salad was loaded with dressing which was tasty and strong with each bite almost taking your breath away. The salad was fresh and excellent. The spaghetti and meat sauce was served in a rather small bowl, however you know what, with the bread and salad there was plenty of food. The spaghetti and meat sauce was very good. Our service was excellent.

Our family’s favorite Italian place to eat. Love everything we’ve tried from the pasta to the pizza. The minestrone soup is a big hit in our house and the garlic knots will make you drool. I can literally close my eyes and let my finger fall on something on the menu and it will taste great.

It was a Friday night and maybe only me and another couple were in the whole restaurant. As far as the food to me is overpriced for the quality I think I had better chicken parmigiana in other places for lower price. The place looks somewhat elegant so I’m sure that’s why price gotta match the place but what about the food!?? My sis had fettuccine Alfredo she didn’t think it was the best. Service was ok that night. and so all those reviews from Unilocal… Nah! Sorry I personally think they are just a 3 star.

We chose this restaurant for a group dinner. I give this 3 stars because of service. We were asking for refills, and our server just gave this annoyed sigh! Service was just disappointing… although their food was great! Those garlic rolls just hit the spot.

The plates of garlic knots are fabulous. Everything on the menu is good but my favorites are the chicken rollatini, the chicken and shrimp francaise, and the chicken, shrimp and veal cremore. The broccoli cheese soup is only available on Fridays but the minestrone is wonderful. The service is amazing and the restaurant is always clean and feels very homey.

I’ve come to this establishment at least every other month to enjoy the wonderful food but last night, to my surprise the service was Horrid! Normally I don’t finish the food and end up getting a to go box, and usually the waiter will give us rolls to take home hence I am taking my food home too… Why not enjoy the whole meal right. Well our waiter felt impelled to let the manager know I needed extra rolls and she went out of her way to let us know they have never given rolls away and they always have charged for them. But she never gave me a price. So she said you know I’ll throw in a few and I was like don’t worry about it… she asked again so I said ok sure. She took my bag and went to the back(mind you I still had a half eaten roll and a whole roll in the to go bag. Fast forward to today when I go to heat the food up to my surprise she has taken out my whole roll and replaced with two baby quarter sized looking rolls I was so shocked. You know had I asked for more rolls at the restaurant we would have gotten them while still eating so why does it matter if I want to take some home with my food to finish up my left overs. I don’t know if this lady was the owner or the manager but she just lost 2 loyal customers along with all my family and friends who eat there on a regular. Not to mention my extended Baylor healthcare family who gets events catered through them on the regular oh yes the department will hear about this one… All over her Greed. Now she said we were taking money from her pockets by getting extra rolls let’s see how much money you make off us now!!!

The garlic rolls are all you need to know. Oh ok, I will expand. The service has always been great. I love the salad that comes with your order. I wish I could recommend 1 thing on the menu but we really like it all. Even if we just want standard lasanga it’s always good.

Great food and great service. We came on a Friday night and got seated immediately. The rolls are the best ever. The waitress suggested chicken rolletini which was great.

Came here with co-workers for my going away(I joined the Air Force back in 2012.) Sicilianos has the best garlic rolls ever! Also, baked lasagna is the way to go. :) I heard about this place but growing up in the South Garland area my family & I never got around to visit this place for some reason. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in town!

I was was raised in garland so this has always been a favorite. It’s been years since I’ve been back so when I had to chance I had to remind myself. Still the best italian place I’ve been to! And I live in the uptown area so that’s saying a lot. I got the shrimp, chicken and veal creamore. To die for and especially with those rolls. I don’t have any idea why this place doesn’t have more stars.

This is our go-to itailian place. We come here for the garlic knots and desserts mainly. In fact, my hubby and I can down a plate of garlic knots so fast that you better bring two plates! While the service is not always the best, the food more than makes up for it. Well, let’s be real, the garlic knots make up for it. We have eaten our way through the menu. By far my favorite item is the blackened chicken Alfredo. It is not on the menu — because they forgot to add it when the menu got a makeover — but every server will know what you are talking about. The chicken parmesan and ravioli is good too. I recently ordered a pepperoni calzone, but probably will not order it again. It had way too much cheese for my taste, but it was still good. The pasta dishes come with a soup and a salad. The noodles in the soup are usually overcooked and the salad had too much dressing, but both are a nice edition to the meal. Make sure to save room for dessert. And if you ate too many garlic knots, like we do, get the desserts to go. My hubby likes the itailian wedding cake and I love the chocolate ganache. You can also place a speciality cake order. We got a 6-inch itailian weddibg cake for my hubby’s birthday and it was only $ 20. This is a family owned and run restaurant. Support local! We come here monthly and will continue to do so.
