We currently offer NC Concealed Carry, NRA-​approved, and our own handgun classes to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to safely operate firearms. History

Established in 2013.

TriggerAction Firearms Training was born out of a passion to teach safety and firearm skills to those looking to defend themselves whether at home or out in public. Our classes span all age ranges form the 5 year old to those seniors looking to protect themselves. Having grown up in a family which prized hunting and trapping, guns were used to provide for our family and rarely for self-​defense. Now fast-​forward 40 years and times have changed! We live in a great country where our Bill of Rights seek to promote life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But there will always be those who abuse such rights to victimize others. That’s where our training takes over because we have a passion about our 2^nd Amendment rights as well as teaching those skills necessary to properly exercise those rights. Be safe. Be protected. After spending nearly 26 years working for IBM, Rich decided to change course and combine his childhood love of firearms and teaching skills with his newly discovered priority of self-​defense. Our Founding Fathers understood the need for personal protection which is why they gave us our Bill of Rights and its 2^nd Amendment. Wanting to provide others with the skills needed to educate and defend themselves, Rich became a Certified Firearms Instructor for the NRA followed by training at North Carolina’s Department of Justice to teach Concealed Carry Handgun Training. Considering the various options available to buyers in the handgun market, Rich undertook the journey to become educated in this area in order to write and publish his first book, Buying Your First Handgun, which became the genesis for a class that bears the same name.
