Chocolate Monkey

Got a friendly greeting upon walking in the door. We were able to sample the ice cream before we chose. I got a single scoop of bearclaws on a waffle cone and my boyfriend got a single scoop of ultimate peanut butter brownie in a waffle cone. $ 5 for a single scoop seemed like a lot at first but it is very worth it. This is definitely the best ice cream in town !

This has got to be the best fudge on the Parkway. I didn’t even look at their other offerings but they are probably just as good. Real cream and butter in the fudge puts this closer to homemade than any others being sold in Gatlinburg. Customer service was great too. Three squares for the price of two, on par with the others, but of course that always ensures you spend twice as much than you intended because you went in just for chocolate and they have lots of other unique flavors you will want to try.

When we went we just had ice cream which was very good but everything else looked awesome! The staff was very friendly

Pretty good dessert place with a cute theme. Prices are a little high 5 bucks for a large cookie. Yeah it was good reese’s pieces and soft as can be, but 5 bucks? Truffle was only 99 cents, very rich and creamy. Some unique flavors of fudge and truffles. A must try, but can get pricey for a family.

Chocolate heaven!
We first discovered this place when we were walking around Gatlinburg and saw the Blue Bell ice cream signs. It is our favorite ice cream. My husband is always in search of the banana pudding ice cream. I’ve had the chocolate and the chocolate mint ice cream. There is also a very large variety of fudge and candy. I’ve had the truffles. Everything I’ve ever had here has been extremely yummy. This will be one of our regular stops on all our Gatlinburg trips.

Love, love, love this place! Soo many apples to choose from and they’ll add stuff to it if u ask, plus they cut up for you if you want. I love my covered apples. They have a bunch of yummy fudge too… buy 2 slices get 1 free. There are tons of other goodies too, even if you’re craving a sucker with scorpion in the middle — lol. They are a little expensive but well worth it. Chocolate is one of the things I couldn’t live without and this place could supply it! Staff is always super friendly every time we have been and go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want. They offer a discount to veterans and I think that’s wonderful for people to do (just another reason to take my gpaw and have him but me goodies! ha!). There are a few tables to sit outside and enjoy your stuff too.

Best Carmel apple I’ve ever had!!! They have one called the apple pie caramel apple… Absolutely amazing! I hope I can order some online because I’ve been craving one for weeks now. The one my wife got was stellar as well. Go get yourself a caramel apple or fudge from the chocolate monkey!!!

I thought this store was cute but a little bit expensive as well. I really like that there was a ride for my son to go on.

Anyone who knows me can understand why I was drawn into this store like a bug to light. Little bit of a monkey lover here and they had the cutest little bouncing monkey doodads in the window. I saw visions of that little monkey bouncing in my office through the week.
After I walked in and saw the little bouncing monkeys were $ 19.99 each the little voice in my head was like «oh heck no» and I was close to turning around when I saw the fudge. We had every intention of getting fudge while in Gburg, but were scouting out prices and varieties before purchasing, so I browsed.
They have more flavor varieties than any other fudge shop I’ve seen. What really sparked my interest was the mint chocolate fudge, knew I was coming back for it if we saw it nowhere else.
We ended up here after all to get the mint chocolate fudge. Then I saw the sign where if you bought two ½ lbs ($ 7.95 each) you get a ½ lb free, averaging out to a little over $ 5 for ½ lb which is a better price than the other fudge sellers.
The staff was very friendly and encouraging of samples and explained the flavors well.
I chose the mint chocolate and the dark chocolate and caramel topped with sea salt for myself. The mint choc is like eating those soft mint candies that you get sometimes at showers and weddings, yum yum. For the dark choc and caramel with sea salt the lady was sure to explain that the salt is on the top so you have to eat the entire depth together so you can enjoy the sweet and salty flavor without getting the salt in the last bite. Both flavors are more unique than the fudge I’m used too and I’ve really enjoyed them.
My husband got the peanut butter pie which is peanut butter fudge swirled with chocolate and topped with crumbled chocolate. He said he really likes it because it’s not too sweet.
Their fudge is different than others I’ve had in that its a little soft and melts in your mouth.
I could have browsed through their entire collection of monkey knick knacks but the husband was huffing. I couldn’t blame him though; all the stuffed monkeys hanging through the store meant he had to duck to walk. Tall people problems.
They had other candy delicacies but I was only focused on the fudge. I would highly suggest stopping here for your candy wants and they mentioned their store that they just opened in Sevierville also.

Friendly staff. Who was willing to let us sample anything we wanted and encouraged us to take our time deciding on what we’d like.
Ultimately, we both choose the pumpkin pecan pie ice cream. If I could have taken it home in buckets I would it was creamy, flavorful and affordable. It tasted exactly as the name says.

There were sooo many different types of fudge. Some that I’ve never even seen before! Plus a huge selection of different caramel apples and different chocolate covered treats. Plus they have blue bell ice cream. And a ton of stuffed monkeys haha. But overall, just a basic regular chocolate place. Worth going to though if you’re craving some treats!

Walking into this place the first thing you see are the beautifully displayed caramel apples, and so many different kinds too! And huge! Didn’t get to try those but did get to eat some of their fudge which was delicious. They have a pretty decent selection including some flavors that you don’t normally see at the fudge shops (the monkey business and sea salted caramel were a few really good ones). They also sell a bunch of other sweets and chocolate & monkey related souvenirs.
Their website boasts the friendliest employees, and they really were. I can’t remember the name of the person who helped us but she was absolutely fabulous & friendly. They let us sample the different flavors and gave a monkey stamp to my 3-​year-​old nephew’s hand. It’s a tiny but fun shop full of friendly staff.

I stopped by this chocolate shop on vacation with my family, we hadn’t planned on stopping but as we were walking along the stretch of shops, the beautifully crafted chocolate and caramel dipped apples drew our attention. The entire front window cleverly displays a large array of these deliciously inviting apples. The inside of the shop is very small and seemed even smaller since there was a line of 5+ people waiting to check out. Since the apples were at the front of the store it was difficult to make a selection until you worked your way to the front of the line.
We selected a milk chocolate dipped green apple drizzled with white chocolate and my parents grabbed a caramel dipped apple with nuts. The clerk offered to cut the apple, but advised that if we were not going to eat them in the next half hour that it wasn’t a good idea! We saved them for the next day and they were AMAZING, the chocolate was rich but not to much and the apples were very fresh. With such a large crowd in the shop I was pleasently surprise that the whole experience (including glazing at the apples) only took several minutes.
If you are on your honeymoon or getting married, they had the cutest bride and groom apples in the center of the display case as well.
