This was my first time at Crawdaddy’s and it wasn’t the greatest experience. On the way to Gatlinburg we looked at the menu online and thought it sounded great. Once we were seated and started looking at the menu, we didn’t see any of the items we were interested in. When we asked the waitress, we were told they had changed the menu several times and she wasn’t sure when the last time it had been updated online was. :(We decided to stay anyways and ordered half a dozen raw and half a dozen steamed oysters. After almost an hour we got the raw but still had to wait for the steamed. They were ok. Then we continued to wait on our food, which took too long and when I mentioned it to the manager, all I was told was that it was a new kitchen staff. :(I ordered the fish and shrimp combo. While the taste was good, I was disappointed in the amount of fish and shrimp compared to the price. We also had the low country boil which was good and plenty of food. I would have been somewhat ok with all this if the service would have been better. After waiting far too long again for the check and then for the payment to be taken, I mentioned all this to the waitress. In return, I got an attitude from her and the answer of «I’m sorry and I didn’t even cook your food.» I guess maybe we should have asked for a different server since this one’s other table was being helped out by the manager. All this and $ 80 later. Was excited about the place but unfortunately I can’t recommend to others. :(

GREAT place! We were looking for something different and hit the jackpot! All the seafood we ordered was fantastic. SERVICE! Superb and friendly. If you can eat outside on the balcony do it, great people watching and music. They also have kareoke every night!

I visited Crawdaddy’s on June 1st. It was your Gatlinburg location My friend came in from Colorado. Her, another female friend, and I decided to go to Crawdaddy’s to grab drinks and catch up. We chose Crawdaddy’s because it allowed smoking on the balconies and we wanted to enjoy being outside. My friend from Colorado also knew one of the guys who worked there and wanted to catch up with him as well while she was here. Everything seemed fine and then out of nowhere when we were on our second drinks a tall man I assume was from the kitchen came up and stood between us and another table. It was really confusing and awkward. The manager then asked us to leave. We were totally and completely blind-sided. He said that we were using inappropriate language. I of course apologized and had honestly not even realized any of us were cussing. I mean it wasn’t something I was thinking about conscientiously. I would never intend to make someone uncomfortable. The thing that I’m so upset about is my friends had just gotten a new drink and we had to leave immediately. One of my friends just got her food. Why didn’t someone simply give us a warning? Considering we were on the balcony where smoking is allowed and that there were no children around; I just can’t fathom why we had to be escorted off premises over what I assume were Fbombs. That’s right, this very tall man had to remove us from the restaurant because a table was offended. I have never been treated like that ever. I will not be returning to this establishment. This is sad because we were locals and had been here time and time again without an issue. It is sad that we have to leave when someone on vacation stays. If only someone had simply asked us to clean up our language we would of been happy to oblige. We are just not the type of people to intentionally hurt or offend anyone. We were just there to have fun and catch up.

We ate here for lunch one day while on vacation. The food was terrible and the place was filthy. It’s really just a bar. Do not eat here.

Kroger quality oysters. The service was slow even in an empty restaurant. The drinks were mediocre at best and we won’t be coming back.

Crawdaddy’s is celebrating their grand reopening this weekend and they have nightly karaōke going. The service is good and friendly. They were on a limited menu tonight but with great selection. We ordered the lobster & shrimp dip and split the fish and shrimp combo w/house salad. Everything was top notch. My husband enjoyed the tempura-ish but it wasn’t my style. Our server Bill was very attentive and kept our meal moving! We’ll be back next time we’re in town for sure. Looking forward to their full menu.

Came on a Sunday afternoon, sat on the balcony. Service was attentive and excellent. I had a dozen oysters on the ½ shell, big and delicious. My wife had the Mahi mahi, which was only on the menu in sandwich form, bit they made it a platter on a bed of lettuce which she asked for with no charge or fuss. It cane with an enormous, although not particularly tasty, baked potato. We were the only people there, though.

Went to Gatlinburg yesterday with my family and we decided to get a bite to eat here. Our server was incredibly nice, and even though we couldn’t have a highchair for my 2 her old on the balcony it was other wise very pleasant. The crab cake dinner is what I had, it was very filling and yummy! My aunt ordered something but couldn’t eat it, for some reason they had it spiced and it was too hot for her. we all gave her some of our food so it turned out alright :) very nice view from the balcony, and great food!

Not good, server and barkeep must be sampling their own products, WOW, bad bad… total air heads and about 85 pounds, oyster were terrible, baked potato was hard and cold. No refills. 15 minutes ton held out. Not one good thing to say here.

We always stop here while we’re in the area, karaōke every night on a big stage with a receptive crowd. This trip we had the lobster/shrimp creamy penne… it was very good, must love garlic, lobster was shredded so no chunks, but I was happy with the flavor overall, very filling. I personally only ate half, I would recommend getting the garlic bread to dip in the sauce. They charge a cover at 9 so get there early if don’t want to have to pay extra to get in.

Food was great, I had the special. We got there first thing at 11 when they open so service was spot on. Great food and better atmosphere. Lost star on military discount and size of portions. If your hungry get an appetizer.

I wish I could give this place less than one star. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and was served BLACK fish that had a funky smell. I ate once piece before I realized and am literally worried for my safety. I’ve never been so angry walking out of a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I really wanted to like this place. It had an outdoor balcony, seafood and karaōke so we were excited. However, our food was just meh. The alligator app was good but the shrimp pasta tasted like a frozen dinner and the garlic bread that came with it was barely toasted. You should skip the oyster po boy because it was dry and whatever that side sauce was only best described as a train wreck in a sewage yard. Yuck. Hey why don’t you come inside for karaōke. or the one man show. I put in for 2 songs, and i sang one. The«dj» sang 8… in a row… and there were 3 other people waiting to sing too. If you are hungry, go to the Chinese place(for real, yum) and if you want to SING karaōke instead of just listening to it, just sing in the street, the people will love it. ;)

Meh… just meh. So… BLUF — Great place to people watch… main street in Gatlinburg… you see all types… — I had some blue margarita cocktail. Meh… The beer drinkers in the group were all happy, tho — Hubs had the crawfish bucket… Nope. Just nope. Lots of work for very little taste. — I had oysters on the half shell. I shouldn’t have. I really shouldn’t. I just miss raw oysters so much… Don’t. They’re room temp and the texture was just wrong. It is good for people watching on the balcony with unnaturally flavored and colored drinks…

The best part about this place was the outdoor balcony dining. I had the fish sandwich and fries which were both pretty good but the oysters were not very good and the crawdads… let’s just say I’ve had better at Chinese buffets!

We’re in town from Indiana. After a nice day of horseback riding through the Smokey’s, we decided to head into Gatlinburg and try this place out! I saw their sign stating they have fresh oysters, and I couldn’t resist. To get into the restaurant you head up a few flights of stairs on the side of the building. It’s pretty easy to find, there’s a big sign by the stairs. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, so it wasn’t busy at all. We decided to sit out on the patio, which allows smoking for you smokers out there. We got a cheap pitcher of beer, a dozen oysters on the half shell, mozzarella sticks, and a salad. I will admit nothing really wow’d me but we only tried a few apps that are all common classics. The oysters were good though, I could tell they were fresh and never frozen. Our server was attentive and took good care of us. I see the general consensus isn’t great for this place, but I’d come back for a beer and some oysters next time I’m in town.
