Fox Cab Dispatch

WARNING! Beware of this cab company, they are charging outrageous prices and ripping off the consumer. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. We needed a cab from the Elburn train station to Dekalb. We were charged $ 65. This is more than I’ve paid for a cab ride in New York City from Manhattan to the airport! Don’t make the mistake of using them, you will be sorry.

This cab company is terrible. You get charged an arm and a leg if you arent paying cash. I spent 16 dollars to go two miles because of all the fees they charge. The cab did not have air conditioning and the driver went over a huge curb. The basic necessity of a cab ride is to be comfortable and to arrive safely. This company failed miserably.

If I were you, I would choose another cab company to use while you are in Geneva. I called Fox Cab on a Monday afternoon and request a pick up one hour in advance. The dispatcher assured me that they would be there. After waiting ten minutes past the pick up time I requested, I called the dispatcher back. He seemed frazzled and confused as to what I was talking about. Then he quickly said not to worry, someone would be there (Now I was worried because my train was leaving in ten minutes…).
Five more minutes go by, and an unmarked car skids into my driveway. The driver rolls down the window and yells for me to get in. He also yells at me to leave y luggage on the driveway. When I get into the backseat there is already an elderly man in it (smoking a cigar). The driver instructs the elderly man to get out of the car and put my suitcase in the trunk. The driver tells me that he «is the owner of the company» and «.we have a new driver who got confused about your pick up». He proceeds to speed me to the train station.
This experience was horrible and I will never call this unprofessional «company» again. You shouldn’t either.
