Had a wonderful experience here with Bridget ! She helped me so much and even showed me how to apply the stuff I was purchasing! I am so far obsessed with the tinted moisturizer!!! Can’t wait to eventually transition my whole skin care line to their products !!

Odalisque is a small makeup boutique and although they don’t have the largest assortment of products available, what they have is excellent, and the individuals working here know their stuff. I have received help a few times from one of the makeup artists, Juliette, and she is wonderful. I’m so happy to have met her, because she has a keen eye on what shades/​colors/​hues work with my skin tone and I completely trust her opinion. Thanks to her, I have now discovered a few of my favorite lip shades EVER.
Odalisque gives free makeup sessions with the purchase of (any) three products — my guess is you’ll buy more than three, easy — and in my opinion this is one of the best ‘deals’ in Geneva. I took advantage before a wedding and had flawless makeup for the event. I received compliments all night! However I truly don’t think you need to wait for a special occasion. Girls, (or boys), if you want to feel pretty and need a few new items of makeup, definitely stop by. You won’t regret it!

Both my mother and I have known Bridget since she first opened shop some five-​six years ago, and we have always loved her and her store.
First and foremost: Bridget is Odalisque. Without her, it would just be another niche– pricey apothecary with fancy soaps. And, don’t get me wrong; Her products are of exceptional quality, and the her prices are reasonable considering she sells luxury. But, even though she hires nice young women and they’re always helpful and bubbly, you go to Odalisque for Bridget. Not only is she one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, but her knowledge of makeup, skincare and beauty is boggling (and her skills as a makeup artist are incredible).
I recommend Odalisque to anyone with a few extra dollars who wants, not only fine products, but an experience to match.

Just got my makeup done by Maddie for my wedding trial session, and omg is it flawless! I seriously almost cried. I wanted to get my makeup done here for two reasons:
1. Seeing the brands the owner carries, I knew she knows her stuff. The brands are all kinda hard to find, but known in the beauty world (RMS beauty, Jurlique, Rodin, etc). Also, she has her own full blown makeup line in-​store so I knew she must be pretty passionate about makeup and beauty products in general.
2. Every girl who works there has flawless makeup on their own face! It’s seriously almost intimidating, but I knew I basically wanted to look like them for my wedding.
Due to a YouTube obsession, I know almost a little too much about makeup and application, and Maddie killed it. My skin was glowing without being greasy, and still matte (I have oily skin so that’s important to me). The eyeshadow made my eyes pop, but in a super subtle way. The lipstick she used was a perfect pinky nude.
So happy, and cannot wait for my wedding makeup! Such a relief. Thanks Maddie!

Odalisque is a wonderful shop full of difficult to find fragrances, candles, body and skin care products. The Odalisque cosmetic line is extensive — even those with sensitive skin are likely to tolerate (I am a case in point). Because this shop is small and busy, it is best to make an appointment if you would like a complete makeover on the weekend — or from the owner.
Friendly staff are quick to assist or offer a helpful tip as you peruse the wide variety of items neatly displayed throughout. New products are introduced periodically, maintaining a fresh experience for frequent shoppers.
Many price points are available whether purchasing a gift or a gift for yourself (my personal favorite!). Odalisque is one of the best reasons to shop 3^rd Street Geneva.

This is one of my favorite stores and a reason by itself to visit Geneva! Bridget and her staff make your shopping experience pleasurable and fun. They have perfumes that can’t be found anywhere else along with a great selection of skin products and make up. I love this place!

Odalisque is beauty bliss. Bridget was meant to be a boutique owner, she is cool, knowledgeable, friendly and talented. The diverse products she carries are all of the highest quality, not just in the shop because they are trendy, but beacuse they are great! I was a little intimidated to head in my first time because I anticipated the prices being exorbitant, but there are many reasonable options. Bridget turned me on to Jurlique facial care which has honestly changed my skin, and the Odalisque line of makeup is second to none! My skin is glowing, and I have learned so many makeup techniques that enhance my features — not make me look like a drag queen. I cannot recommend this spot enough!

Love the place! Bridget is the best. She has cosmetics/​makeup for everyone. Great opportunity to walk around downtown Geneva, do some shopping then stop into Odalisque for makeup.

I must start this review by stating that I do not on a daily basis wear makeup. When preparing for my wedding my best friends encouraged me to get my makeup done. I have never liked my makeup when anyone has done it.
I was refered to Bridgets store by a local friend and went to give it a go. I actually cried my makeup was soooooo perfect! I looked natural but with a healthy glow. I felt like a runway model! So amazing. Not to mention Bridget accomidated my 7 plus 2 moms bridal party on the day of our wedding. We were able to walk around the near by stores and have mimosas. It was the absolute perfect way to start the best day of our life!
Your wedding pictures last a lifetime and Bridget is the master of perfect makeup!

I LOVE Odalisque! The owner Bridgett was super friendly, and accomodating. She helped me find the perfect color of lipstick that I was looking for, and everytime I wear it, I get compliments:)

I did a test for my wedding makeup and was amazed. Bridget is OUTSTANDING. She really has a great understanding of color and skin tone. Obviously she did my makeup for my wedding as well and I received so many compliments! My whole bridal party and the mothers had their makeup done at Odalisque as well and everyone looked amazing. Later after the wedding I lost the lip linner that she chose for me, which by the way was a perfect color, I have never found a lip color I really liked and she nailed it! Bridget remembered me, my color and sent it right to me as soon as she had it in stock! Ladies this place is an absolute MUST! My best friend and I are going to make another trip out soon we love it so much!

I am one of those people who likes makeup but who is a little intimidated by it, and doesn’t really know what to try. Good thing I came upon Odalisque Beauty Apothecary, and its proprietress Bridget!
This young woman blends the best elements of girlfriend-​y chat, the ability to make you feel beautiful even before she’s done anything (just by talking to you), and a low-​pressure salesmanship (so you don’t feel guilted into buying everything she’s used on you, as at some spas or beauty emporiums). I felt that I knew how to use the products and wasn’t flying blind, and I ended up with a look that wasn’t radically different from my usual, but shifted just enough to be noticable. I like it.
She stocks lots of good brands like Dr. Hauschka and the Japanese skin cream Yu-​Be, and many unique fragrances as well.
I’ll look forward to stopping back in to Odalisque whenever I want to tweak my makeup look or stock up on a product. Thanks, Bridget!

Odalisque is a true gem. An absolutely adorable shop with an owner (Bridget) who is incredibly helpful — and so fun to talk to! I walked out of there looking amazing, with skin care and make-​up products that were like no other. She had some really unique make-​up tips that I had not heard before (and love)! Do yourself a favor and stop by Odalisque — the town and Odalisuqe are so charming you’ll be glad you did.

«Odalisque Beauty Apothecary is an amazing store in the heart of downtown Geneva. Downtown Geneva is a growing area, full of hip stores, restaurants and boutiques… not to mention it is within walking distance from the Union Pacific West Metra line’s Geneva stop.
Odalisque is owned by an awesome gal named Bridget. She used to live in France and she worked at Neiman Marcus for years – so this lady knows her stuff!
She carries the best of the best in bath and beauty products. Most of her products can be found nowhere else in the Western Suburbs.
There is a litany of exotic products from Europe (so posh), not to mention brands we all know and love here in the states such as Sage Machado, L’Artisan Perfumer, Aesop, City Lips, etc etc.
She also just started carrying the line of lotions and soaps by renowned Chef Rossi. These products have recently been written up in many fashion magazines.
Odalisque also has their own housebrand of makeup which truly rivals any of the top brands. AND – Odalisque recently added an exciting new feature called Hypnotic Fragrances. It is an actual FRAGRANCE BAR where YOU pick the scents that blend best on your skin and Bridget makes your very own signature scent. This is so fun – and allow yourself some time becasue the combinations are endless!
Bridget is constantly doing research on what is hip and cool, so her inventory is constatly growing and changing.
While in Geneva, stop in and say hello to Bridget – she is always willing to make you beautiful with her years of experience, and she is a treat to talk to.
