We are committed to maintaining a steady, established, experienced workforce, and also have a well-​established network of consultants to complement our seasoned viticultural staff.

It is our belief that the growers receiving the highest prices today have been successful developing winery/​grower relationships that jointly recognize, and work within, the balance of the potential of the vineyard site and the winery’s style of winemaking. We have diligently worked at developing strong and sustainable winery relationships for both our company and our clients.

History

Established in 1983.

Al Buckland began his viticultural career on the historic, 900-​acre Oak Knoll Ranch in the Napa Valley. Over the past thirty years, Buckland Vineyard Management Inc., under Al’s capable leadership, has expanded to include vineyard properties in Napa, Sonoma, and El Dorado Counties.

Throughout his career, Al has been actively involved with various agricultural and resource conservation organizations where he has demonstrated his commitment and service to the preservation of agricultural resources. His efforts over the years have contributed to protecting and enhancing grape growers’ ability to profitably engage in the business of producing premium wine grapes.

Al maintains membership in several industry associations and is licensed with the State of California and the US Department of Labor as a Farm Labor Contractor.
