Specialties

We offer a comfortable, casual, clean and safe lodging experience in the Colorado Rockies — with an indoor heated pool and outdoor hot tub which are open year round.

We are within a sixty mile radius of Denver, CO, Hot Sulphur Springs, and resorts such as Winter Park, Ski Loveland (11 miles), Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Dillon, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Vail. So there are plenty of outdoor activities and site seeing to do while staying here.

There are 33 rooms. Two stories. No elevator. Seven preferred rooms were remodeled in 2002 and have the large ADA bathrooms. There is one Suite and it is upstairs. Nine rooms with a King bed, one with a Queen bed, 11 with two double beds and a single bed, 5 with two Queen beds, 3 with a Queen and a double, and 3 with two double beds.

History

Established in 1964.

Current ownership purchased the property in 2008. We installed new hot water boilers in 2011. Air conditioning in the King bed rooms, the Queen bed room, and the Suite in 2013. New top quality carpet and padding and sound dampening insulation between walls in 2014. Other improvements are coming soon.

Started as desk clerk in 2008, and worked part-​time on and off until becoming General Manager in 2012. Has been improving service and guest comfort ever since.

The gentleman who works at the desk was awesome and very friendly. The room was adequate for the night we stayed and pet friendly which was a bonus. I will recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again.

Outdoor jacuuzi, indoor heated pool, awesome front desk. Sadly, the room was not as nice as in the website pictures. There was a giant grey stain on the bed sheet. The bf and I usually bring out own sheet and blanket so we were fine.
We came here on a ski and stay package. Four people, one night, two beds, four lift tickets and four board rentals $ 495.
Front desk was very nice to us. There was a small area for complimentary breakfast: muffins, teas, coffee.

I stayed here recently after climbing Mount Elbert. This was the perfect place to rest my very weary bones after a grueling climb. Clean, well maintained rooms greeted us when we walked in. We took a hot tub and hit the hay. This local spot is walking distance from great food and views! Keep an eye out for the elusive Big Horned Sheep!

We took my sister to Central City for her birthday and we decided to stay here as there were not any rooms available closer. This place was great! There were three beds in our room so we each had one. The room was clean and well put together. They had muffins for breakfast and provided juice and coffee which was a great way to get us going. If you are headed up for just a day or weekend this is perfect place to stay relatively inexpensively and close to both Black Hawk and Central
City. I would most definitely recommend it!

Horrible! The stench was overwhelming. Everything in the room was old and didn’t want to work. Front desk could have been nicer. Only perk was the pizza place next door.

Is this a luxury hotel that you might think of near ski resorts? No. If the Hampton and the like are your normal hotels of choice, move on. For everyone else looking, while older, it does have a little charm to it. The rooms are dated and I have not seen a CRT television in a room for some time, but it worked. The doors were opened with real keys, just like the good old days. The rooms were clean. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for one night while doing a local hike. There’s a great restaurant next door (Alpine) and everything is within walking distance. If you’re determined to stay in Georgetown, this is your best bet. The Super 8 has a pretty front but that is just a mask for the dump behind it and the other hotel is a small boutique hotel that is full much of the time. Motels tend to attract the ‘low hanging fruit’ of clients. This one does not. No party neighbors.

Fantastic service. This is our second time and it was a wonderful, restful experience. We brought Jenga our dog and the pet friendly room suited us very well. It was a very minimal pet fee and is right across the street from the dog park. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We did not get a chance to try the pool or hot tub but we definitely will be back and hopefully get a chance to do that as well.

Me and my husband had a fantastic time staying here on our weekend getaway to georgetown. They are a pet friendly hotel so we were able to take our dog with us for the first experience staying at a hotel with our dog. The manager was so helpful and accommodating to our every need both with the room situation and our dog Jenga. He made sure we were well taken care of and even remembered our dog’s name and asked how her night was when we were checking out. The price is relatively inexpensive and it is located right across the street from a large dog park and several local eateries and bars. Parking was not a problem as they have ample room. The room décor was a little dated but everything was neat and clean considering it was one of their pet friendly rooms. We are planning our next trip in the spring and this will be the place we stay. It has an outdoor pool and hot tub but we were unfortunately not able to experience either but plan to next time. To summarize: Great location, Great service, great price.

This was my first time in Colorado and I am very pleased with this hotel!
When you’re planning a little vacation and you want to save money this is definitely the place to go!
If you’re expecting some luxury hotel with fancy updated rooms then this is not the place for you.
It is a very cozy, wood cabin type feeling hotel. Our room has a large comfortable bed with a microwave and a mini fridge. The hot water works great and the water stays hot.
Continental breakfast is offered in the mornings and this place also has an indoor pool and hot tub.
What I really liked is that they don’t automatically perform maintenance on the rooms. You have to call in the morning if you want your room serviced. Maybe it’s just me but I like my room untouched when I’m on vacation and I like that there was an option there.
All in all, I really like this place and its a great location with lots of good places to eat around it & a short drive up to Loveland for
Those who want to ski or snowboard.

This hotel needs serious management in my opinion. The room we had was filthy, just plain dirty. Mold in the bathroom, heavy dust/​dirt on many surfaces, the door lock did not work, fluid stains on the bedding. The wall paper was stapled to the wall at the places it was peeling off. Fire hazard perhaps with an extension bar loaded with plugs behind the TV. The computer center was not working both days we were there. They did offer to let us use their behind the counter computer. Breakfast — cupcakes were taken from a 2 pack like Hostess cupcakes style. Powdered decaf coffee. The price was enough to label it «way overpriced for what you get».

We stayed here the night before hiking Mt. Bierstadt. It was okay. It was clean but everything was very outdated and the plumbing didn’t seem very good either (water pressure in the shower and toilet flushing). It was in a convenient location and we were only staying one night so it’s not too big of a deal, but I probably wouldn’t stay here more than one night.

Stayed here in May in the suite upstairs from the lobby. The place is a little outdated; we definitely noticed some mold and some squeaky furniture. That said everything felt clean and comfortable. We had a ridiculous amount of room for four people in this suite, plus a full kitchen with lots of relics from other travelers to use for our own breakfasts/​snacks etc. TV and internet worked as promised.
Most of Georgetown was in walking distance and there are some decent hikes starting about a mile or so away. We walked straight from the hotel and hiked Mt Saxon and it was a great day trip. If you are into the green tourism trend, there was a store within walking distance too, though the hotel has a policy against usage.
There’s free coffee in the morning with donuts/​pastries.
Overall a really great value for our money; if we pass through we will definitely plan to stay here again!

This hotel served as the host hotel for the 2014 How The West Was Won Motorcycle Endurance Rally. I was on staff for the event and this place did great by us. Whenever we needed something we didn’t plan for (extension cords, for example), they bent over backwards to get whatever we needed. While this hotel is not set up as an event hotel (no banquet roos, etc.), it was perfect for what we needed.
Comfortable beds, powerful showers and actual room keys, not cards.

Stayed here for a night a few months ago on a road trip. After driving through Iowa and Nebraska (exhausting since it’s such a boring leg of the trip!), we were looking to get a good night’s sleep and not pay too much for it. Mission accomplished.
The beds were comfortable, the hotel itself is very close to the highway, and the on-​site restaurant is a fun place with good food. The rooms are very nice for the price; my only complaint was a lack of pillows, though that’s far from a deal-​breaker. If I was ever in the neighborhood, I’d absolutely stay here again.

Pete rules! Pete is the manager or owner or something here — anyways he always handled our repairs and manned the front desk. He was very genuine and helpful and prompt to respond to our problems (how do we use the heater? how do we use the TV? the sink is not draining properly).
I have no complaints. The room was adorable and felt very secure with the triple lock, self-​locking door. There was always parking out front, and the room stayed warm easily. Water got hot very quickly, free coffee and pastries in the morning, nice location for accessing the resorts nearby, a 15 minute walk to Old Towne Georgetown for dining, as well as options nearby and a gas station nearby.

Since this place was pet friendly and had decent reviews, I gave them a call. They were very friendly and only charged us for one dog, even though we had 2!
The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfy, Mostly clean, could have used a bit more elbow grease and attention to detail.
The shower was hot, but there was no mat or grip strips in the tub so it was VERY slippery! Not safe!
The restaurant on site was awesome! Great pizza!
Would stay here again.

Lake Geneva, WI
This was a wonderful overnight place. It is pretty old but wears it well. The rooms showed some sign of wear, but were clean (no musty smell at all), well kept and comfortable. it’s within walking distance of a few restaurants and about a mile from the local downtown and various attractions. Ten minutes from Loveland Ski area gives it my vote for the best option to stay nearby.
The indoor HEATED pool and outdoor hot tub were perfect! I will definitely stay here again.

This was a great overnight stop on a road trip through Colorado. i wanted to climb Mt Bierstadt the next day and get a good night’s rest ahead of time. It was easy to find, and had a pretty decent pizza place (Alpine Restaurant) right in the parking lot. I love when I can walk to dinner.
The common areas were kind of dingy — not much of a pool or hot tub from what I could tell. The rooms were well worn, and the linens were not the finest. But for the cheap price, you get what you pay for — a bed and a hot shower. I don’t know if I’ll find myself in Georgetown again, but if so, I’d consider staying here for a night.

We stayed here when we had a wedding to go to in Georgetown. It’s not the greatest place. We had the suite which was pretty nice. It was like a small apartment with a kitchen, a large living room and 2 TVs. The place looks pretty old and run down from the outside. But, it was comfortable. We were disappointed that both the pool and the hot tub were closed while we were. That’s part of the reason we chose the place.
