Georgetown Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

$ 176 for a 1 year old’s teeth check up. What? You get your baby’s teeth brushed and a little fluoride put on them. Really seems like a lot of money for 5 minutes of the dentist’s time. But don’t worry. You don’t have insurance like me? They’ll let you know for $ 320/​year you can buy their plan. I think we’ll end up checking out another dentist for her next checkup. They bill just as much as an adult cleaning with no actual real work having to be done. The best part is he wished that more people were like me and brought their little’s in sooner. Yeah… I see now why people don’t take their babies to a dentist until much later.

What a great place! We are so lucky to have a dentist office my kids are excited to go to! Dr. Kenny & his DH Alyssa are AMAZING! So patient & kind and willing to wait to explain (multiple times) exactly what they are going to do before they do it. The office is beautiful, clean, and so kid friendly… it’s a joy to visit! Thanks Dr. Kenny & staff!!!

Great facility. Front office, techs and hygienists are great and very kid friendly as expected.
However the dentist was about an hour behind. Fifty minute wait for two minutes of his time seems excessive.
Be respectful of the customer’s time.

As an adult I have had major anxiety with dentists due to a bad experience as a child. I have taken my children to several places and GPD has by far been the best. My children love it and and are always excited to reeturn.

GPD is the best dentist group I’ve ever been too including ones for the whole family and not just pediatrics. My children have seen both Dr. Hildebrand and Dr. Havard and they love them. My daughter who’s been going to GPD since she was 4 loves them and the office so much she asks me to go whenever we pass the building or hears me talking of the dentist in general. The other day she was seriously disappointed when I told her that her next appointment wasn’t for another 3 months. That type of relationship between a child and their dentist seems truly awesome and rare until we went to GPD. In a nutshell… Georgetown Pediatric Dentistry ROCKS!!!

GPD has always done a great job of providing friendly dental care to my 5yo. They play and really encourage the kids to take care of their teeth. They talk to me and to my son about what they are about to do so there are no surprises. They even have games for kids to play while we wait. Sure, there are times when some of the tools and whatnot get a little uncomfortable… they have little mouths and can be wiggle worms. But GPD does a great job of getting them done quickly and moving on.
I wish we had dentists like this when I was a kid. :-)

We took our 3.5 yr old and 22 mo old in to see Dr. Kenny Havard today and had a great experience. We were able to take both kids together, which really helped our younger child since she could see everything her big brother was having done. Of course, she wanted to do whatever he did, so she had no fear. Our daughter, visiting the dentist for the first time, had to have an x-​ray done of a chipped tooth. They set it up in a way that made it so easy to get the picture they needed with no discomfort or fear for her. I was a little shocked that it went so well. The staff we interacted with (assistant, hygienist, and dentist) all did a wonderful job of communicating with the kids on their level, making it a lot of fun. They also communicated very well with my husband and I, taking time to explain a number of things that we were unaware of regarding thumb sucking, juice drinking, dental care at home, our daughter’s chipped tooth (what to look out for), etc. I highly recommend them for pediatric dentistry.

I have a compliant dental patient (9) and a incompliant dental patient (5) and have always been treating well by the professional, friendly, nurturing and knowledgable staff. We have certainly had our struggles during cleanings but Janna always handles it in stride. I love them and I am so thankful for their patience when we come in!
