Dr. Haley and Dr. Nichols really care about your pets… they do! We’ve been taking our Dachshunds there for several years now and they get the best of care at reasonable prices. They don’t try to talk you into doing things just to make a buck. And the new clinic is fantastic. The staff are wonderful people. I cannot say enough good things about them, truly.

I came here for the yearly shots for my lab Raider. I was completely blown away by Dr. Haley! The affection and love that she showed my fur baby just moments after meeting him are why I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is where I will be taking my pets when anything is wrong! This is the best vet office that I have been in, in a long long time! They were busy, but the staff could handle it, and to me being busy is a great sign! That means more people than just me saw the same quality in these workers that I did!

My first time at Georgetown Vet Hospital and I couldn’t be more impressed! I was checked in promptly, and everyone adored my Scout and gave the best care. Having just moved into the area, we were most concerned with finding a new vet for our pup. Unfortunately, he suffers from a moderately-​obscure disease, so locating a vet that was familiar with his problem was first and foremost. We were pleased as punch to find this beautiful veterinary hospital close to where we are living. The staff is great — the facility is beautiful — Dr. Haley wasn’t just familiar with our pups problem, but knew all about it and its treatment. She was thorough, informative and most helpful in educating us to the needs of our dog in Texas. We highly recommend this wonderful facility and its very special staff.

The ladies at the front desk are always wonderful and pleasant. The Vet techs are always willing to take an extra step to help my Rhodey relax (he’s a big chicken in the office). Rambo my parrot loves all the attention you give to him and loves the ladies.(Wink) Dr. Haley is also so comforting for Rambo and talks sweetly to him while she cuts his nails and trims his beak. When I bring in the other fur babies for any procedures Dr. Haley always call the next day to check up to make sure they are doing well. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. My dog, Java, goes there for daycare 5 days a week while we are at work and she has the greatest time there. She has made a lot of new friends, both furry and human and they always take the greatest care of her. I can tell they genuinely care about her. They always make an effort to tailor their care based on her/​our needs. This is the best place we’ve taken her so far and will definitely be using them for a long time, for day care and for veterinary needs.

While my husband and I have since relocated to Houston, our time in Austin was marked by many, many visits to the vet (our pups are disasters). Not only were our dogs thoroughly cared for with love and affection at Georgetown Vet Hospital, but they were treated like family. As a crazy dog-​parent, what more could you ask for?
Dr. Haley is smart, thorough, and clearly loves what she does, and the support team is equally as fabulous. Absolutely worth the 30+ minute drive we would make every time the «kiddos» needed to be seen!

Everyone there was wonderful. My bunny was given top notch care and the vet answered all of my questions patiently.

We had been taking our Senegal Parrot to Dr. Campbell at the Parmer Lane Animal Hospital in Cedar Park. When I called recently to make an appointment for a Well Bird Check-​Up, we were told that Dr. Campbell retired & they referred us to Dr. Haley.
So I called & made the appointment.
Dr. Haley was personable, asked all the right questions, LISTENED to me & answered any questions I had.
She was FANTASTIC with our parrot!
He got a full Well Bird Check-​Up, had his nails clipped/​filed & also had him CHIPPED!
We talked about Blood Work so we could have a base-​line just in case, but she thought our bird had already gone through enough for one day. So the blood work will wait till next time.
I am very happy that we found Dr. Haley & we will return to her for care of our parrot!

I haven’t owned a pet since childhood, so when gf moved in I pretty much own one too! We had been talking about changing vets since she doesn’t live on the other side of town anymore, and Georgetown Veterinary Hospital was on the list.
So fast forward a few months, and our little guy just one day started walking around stiffly. He continued to eat and use the restroom, but something definitely wasn’t right. Looking around at emergency vet clinics, I saw nothing but horror stories related to how much emergency visits cost. Friday morning I decided to stop by Georgetown Vet Hospital and see what options we had.
Walked in at 7:30 to set up an appointment, and the receptionist informed me that another appointment had cancelled at 9 and that she would fit us in if we wanted. We took that option and came back later.
Came back in at 9 and the paperwork/​administrative stuff had already been done. We went to a waiting area where Tammy (such a nice lady!) greeted us and asked us a few questions to prep the doctor for our dog. In another few minutes, Dr. Haley came in and started her diagnosis.
It was easy to see that Dr. Haley and her staff knew what they were doing; within 5 minutes she already knew what has happening; turns out our dog has a bulging disc in his neck area, and would require pain medications, steroids, and rest. I was so relieved to find out that it wasn’t more serious.
Tammy gathered up our medications, the staff said their goodbyes to Toby (our dog), and we were out by 9:30 — quick, fast, professional, and above all else CARES about your pets.
Ladies/​guys, you will forever have our business.

We recently moved to this vet clinic with the retirement and passing of Dr. Roggendorff, who along with a caring staff has looked after our two dogs with such great care since they were puppies. After meeting Dr. Haley at our first visit, who along with her staff was very welcoming and personable to both dogs as well as to me, I look forward to developing our relationship with another well thought of and established vet practice in Georgetown. (We have many good ones) Great new facility with a great area for boarding that looks awesome.

**DISCLAIMER** First off, my dog doesn’t even go here, but my fiancé’s dog does. We have a dog that visits the vet on a regular basis ranging from check ups to ear infections and allergies. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but the service that we get is A+.
Keep in mind, my dog doesn’t go here. Am I going to switch? Absolutely. Mostly because that are convenient and when you have genuine, friendly people working with your loved ones — you can’t beat that.
They are also building a bigger facility behind the original that will offer more space and a bigger parking area. A+ in my book!

Update: I still love this clinic. Although there are many other veterinarians that are located closer to me, I still am willing to drive the extra distance just to come to this clinic. We’ve been in and out of this clinic since my last major review of this place in 2012, and I know I’m totally due for an update. The last time I was here, one (or both!) of my dogs had ingested aluminum foil the day before Thanksgiving. Due to the holiday season coupled with the potential danger of the foil, I was worried that my dogs wouldn’t get seen. I called that very morning and despite them being fully booked, they told me to come in that same day either way and that they would fit me in. I brought both of my dogs in, and the clinic attended to my dogs. I am so grateful that they do not turn families away — their priority always has been and always will be about the animals. They will always give you a well-​rounded price estimate prior to any procedures, both the low and potential high estimate of what you may need to expect. After any time my pets are seen, I have always received a friendly follow-​up call from the vet herself. Either Dr. Nichols and Dr. Haley (depending on who saw my pet on the visit) would always call to follow-​up. As funny as it may seem, my boy dog absolutely loves coming to this clinic because he gets totally loved on by the vets and technicians when they do their procedures and checks. He usually ends up melting onto their laps and rolls over onto this back for love and bellyrubs as they try to give him his shots or do their physicals.
Old Review: My husband met Dr. Nichols at Round Rock Emergency Clinic when our dog got injured. He came back with glowing remarks about her and since we were new to the area, we needed a new veterinarian in the Georgetown area, so we decided to hunt her down and enroll our pets in her clinic. Best choice ever. I’ve since then been back for follow-​ups with my dog and each interaction with the clinic has been a positive experience.
Not sure if any of the staff will read this review, but your doors are thin and clients can hear everything that is said behind closed doors. That being said, that’s not a bad thing because all I could hear behind the doors were the sounds of the staff coo’ing over the pet as they try to treat the injury, comforting the pet, and just being sweet and all around having a good time doing their job. Not that I was eavesdropping, but everything is easily heard in the small clinic. But from what I could hear as I waited, I knew we had made the best choice for our pets. Everyone who works there seems happy and loves their job — that’s what matter most.
They will get right down on the floor with your pet and you can tell that they’ve got great attitudes about their work. Their communication is excellent and Dr. Nichols is phenomenal about follow-​up calls. She’s not brusque like some vets who are in a rush, but instead is keen to make conversation — that’s the kind of interaction I would expect from a good vet because it gives pet owners peace of mind that their four-​legged family members are in good hands.
Make sure you also check out the filtered reviews here. As evidenced by EVERY single reviewer who has posted about them, this clinic has received ONLY five stars from every reviewer — I think that speaks volumes about how wonderful this clinic is. I am so happy that Georgetown Veterinary is caring for my fur-​babies.

There won’t be anything flowery about this review; nor will there be any «buts…». We picked up a lab puppy from a breeder and needed to continue his vaccine regimen, as well as simply finding a vet. Based on reviews, and the way Susie answered the phone, I decided to give GVH a try. I could not be happier with my decision. Dr. Nichols is very very bright and obviously loves animals of all types. Our lab is very high energy and she went about the initial exam and vaccinations without any frustrations. She also spent a good deal of time talking to me, when she wasn’t fawning over Cinder, about what to expect in the coming months.
GVH has also embraced technology as they have email and text reminders for upcoming appointments.

On Monday I had my two male sugar gliders neutered at a vet in south Austin. Prior to picking them up, both boys self mutilated their neuter sites and had to be bandaged into makeshift emergency jackets. By the time I drove up to Georgetown (where I live), one of my gliders, Edison, had gotten out of his jacket and attacked his neuter site again. I knew I couldn’t make the hour drive back to our vet without him harming himself, so I called the nearest vet, which happened to be Georgetown Animal Hospital. The receptionist immediately agreed to fit us in.
I waited for a few minutes before Dr. Haley saw us. She took Edison’s weight and reviewed the papers from the vet who did the neuter while a technician held Edison and calmed him down. I ended up having to pay $ 130 more than the quoted price for the neuter and asked Dr. Haley about payment plans prior to agreeing to treatment, because I only had $ 8 left. She said we’d figure it out and fixed Edison up in no time. In the end she refused to take my money and hugged me, telling me not to worry about it. Dr. Haley then called us the very next day to check in, and we’ve also received a signed card from her practice. I felt like all Dr. Haley cared about was giving my glider the care he needed. I’ve never had a stranger be so kind to me, and I’ve never had such a warm, positive vet experience.
After how Dr. Haley treated me, I very much want to give her my business. I’ve scheduled an appointment for both of my gliders this weekend so that I can finally pay Dr. Haley for her wonderful services. I was extremely impressed with her practice and wish I had gone to her for our neuters. I highly recommend Dr. Haley and Georgetown Animal Hospital.
