Sun Auto Service offers a wide-​variety of automotive services. We provide complete auto repair and maintenance including oil changes, brake repair, engine repair, transmission repair and replacement, battery replacement (5 year warranty) and everything in between.

Sun Auto Service services all makes and models and can perform full services on extended warranties along with maintenance on factory warrantied vehicles. Our ASE Certified technicians have experience in all areas of automotive repair including air conditioning, engine diagnostics, fuel and exhaust systems, power steering, and much more.

For your convenience we offer a courtesy shuttle at no charge, online appointment scheduling, and free towing with most major repairs. We are truly the «Alternative to the Dealership» offering competitive pricing and quality auto repair and maintenance.

Sun Auto Service is a family-​owned and operated complete auto repair and Maintenance Company. Established in 1978 in the Phoenix area, we’ve grown to over 20 locations in Arizona, 5 in Nevada, and 3 (soon to be 4) locations in Texas.

Our company is built on honesty, integrity, and a sound reputation. Sun Auto Service has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, employs ASE Certified technicians, and is committed to excellent customer service.

I have been in the auto-​repair and maintenance industry for 25 years. I started at a tire repair shop and developed a love of helping people. I came to work for Sun Auto Service about a year ago. The company truly cares for their employees, making us feel valued and respected, even part of the family.

While I started my career with Sun Auto Service in Arizona, I transferred to Texas and have lived here with my wife and five daughters (ages 4 – 21) for about 6 months.

My favorite car is the Mercedes Benz; to me personally, it’s a symbol of hard work and accomplishment. In my spare time I like to home-​brew my own beer. I built a microbrewery myself allowing me to brew several different types of beer. I find it’s very rewarding and allows me to explore my creativity.

Our location on Rivery Blvd. is the best place for auto repair and maintenance because you’ll always get honesty from our team. We want to build a long-​lasting, trustworthy relationship with our customers.

Took my Toyota Tacoma in today to have the 100k mile work done on it & I am very impressed with their operation. I’m a true believer in my fellow UnilocalERS & their reviews. I had to research a little bit harder when it came to a mechanic because you can easily get ripped off. I chose to look in the section of the Unilocal reviews that are not recommended because Unilocal hides them. There are a lot of reviews there as well that my fellow UnilocalERS should take into account.
I found this automotive repair company to be genuine, professional, and spot on ! I did not walk out owing a penny more than I expected and had a wonderful level of service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Michael and Chance are great. They are very organized and friendly. Had an oil change and tire rotation. I didn’t receive any calls saying I needed unnecessary work done just that the car was ready. I will use them in the future and I live 40 miles from them.

We moved to Georgetown about two years ago. Fortunately, we didn’t need a mechanic right away. Fortunately as well, when we DID need a mechanic, we found Sun Auto! These guys are so great. They do solid, thorough work with a quick turnaround. They’re friendly, informative, and always very clear about what’s going on with your vehicle. We have a Ford F-​150 and an Audi A3 — they work on both, and it’s always great! We’ve mostly needed just scheduled maintenance, but the Audi needed a repair recently, and they had it in & out in a day AND it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We’ll definitely be using Sun Auto as our go-​to mechanic — as our ~only~ mechanic — for any work we need in Georgetown.

For those of you too lazy to make an appointment, you’re missing out on a Fantastic place with friendly and reliable service. I take all my vehicles here for everything from inspection and repairs to an oil change. I make an appointment to see professionals because a drive-​in isn’t good enough for cars that carry my family.

I had a major repair of the A/​C system on my Chrysler T&C minivan. The compressor, and all the other parts which are normally replaced when the compressor goes out, were replaced. It has now been over 2 years and the A/​C system still runs great!

Everytime I have gotten a quote here, I get a second quote elsewhere for a lot less money. I would try Lamb’s instead… they have always been cheaper and more honest in my opinion.

Spent $ 60 for a diagnostic on why my car was squeaking when I would turn it on for the first time in a day. Was told it was my timing belt and needed a new one as well as I had a cracked A/​C belt. I went for a second opinion at Firestone and spent $ 9.99 for a diagnostic fee and was told my belts just needed a tightening. After a small fee of $ 25 to tighten my belts at Firestone I am squeak free and will not return to this money hungry business. Firestone also told me my A/​C belt was not cracked, just worn.

I’ve been dealing with Dwayne for a few years now and every time he has been trustworthy, helpful and gone out of his way to make the simple and complicated issues easy to manage. I would recommend Sun Auto for anyone in Georgetown looking for a reliable, trustworthy experience.

Dwayne. I’ll say it again so you’ll understand, DWAYNE. Can one man make a huge difference in the way a business is run and managed? The answer of course is YES. He used to work at another auto repair shop when I discovered him and I’ve stuck by him ever since. Now he’s at SUN AUTO SERVICE and I know he’ll bring his A-​game to this service facility.
I’ve already had an oil change (the starter drug of car service) and I couldn’t have done it less expensive if I had bought the supplies myself. They also checked a zillion things I never think about like topping off fluids and checking all systems to make sure my ride is in tip-​top shape.
My wife has a new vehicle with all of the toys and I have an oldie but-​a-​goodie and it’s great to know we can go to one place for ALL of our repair and service needs.
Ask for Dwayne, I think he sleeps in the back because he’s always there!

Heard of this place from my in laws, they are regulars at this location they said they do a great job and are honest trustworthy people. Walking in I could tell why, we were greeted with a professional and warm attitude. Great prices and great attitude = recipe for success. Being an out of towner this will be my new choice for anything I may need for my vehicles.

Normally, we only review restaurants here on Unilocal.Today is a little different, though, because we had an exceptional experience with the Nibblermobile today that really ought to be shared.
Last night, we went to Nibble a new pizza place that we hadn’t nibbled before. When we were leaving, however, the Nibblermobile decided that she really didn’t want to keep running. We managed to get a ride for the rest of the night and left the car parked in Georgetown until the next day.
Today, when we went to check on it, it started up just fine and ran like a change until we could get to a shop that I had faith in. I’d never been to the Georgetown Sun Auto, but am a regular customer at the one in Cedar Park… so we took the car to the closer Georgetown location.
When I explained the problem we were having to Dwayne, the first thing that occurred to me was that he was actually listening rather than treating me like I know nothing about cars merely because I’m female. He was concerned about them not being able to find the problem, as had happened with another customer recently with a similar problem. Turns out my car wanted to be fixed too, because when they went out to take a look at it, the same problem from the night before repeated for the mechanics. They quickly diagnosed it and even verified something the Cedar Park location cautioned me on was not, in fact, a problem.
The repairs were completed quickly and for much less than I had feared it would cost me. They even fixed something that wasn’t fixed properly at the Sun Auto in Cedar Park before I left. These guys are great. If you had a bad experience there before the new management took over, you should definitely give them another shot. You won’t regret it!

I am a single mother… and I am saying this because I didn’t have a husband coming in with me and maybe I seemed extra gullible. Regardless it was no excuse for the bad experience I had at this Sun Auto location.
My car had a broken sway bar and one bad strut and they gave me an estimate to replace my whole Rack and pinion set up at a price of over $ 3,000. All the while playing up how honest they are, how they will throw in a free oil change, etc…
I had looked up the price of a strut at GMC before I went in, so I also realized they were upcharging on parts almost 150%. When I brought this up to them they insisted that they didn’t come up with the prices for parts it was automatically generated.
I am so glad I got a second opinion! There was nothing wrong with my rack and pinion and the place I ended up going to (Georgetown Muffler) charged SOOO much less than what this place was going to charge me.
I called the guy who works here, Chance, and told him how disappointed I was that they would try to get me to repair something that wasn’t even broken. He really didn’t have too much to say except that he insisted they would never do that.
DON’T TRUST THESE GUYS!

Expensive and NOT worth it.
Had several experiences with then. Mazda3: they replaced brake rotors with cheap ones that immediately rusted and looked like crap. Toyota 4Runner: had a shimmy while stopping. They said I needed my struts replaced, which they did for about $ 800. Still shimmied. Took it to another place which replaced my brake rotors for about $ 150. That solved the problem. Recently took it in for a starter issue and they replaced both catalytic converters for $ 1500. Obviously that wasn’t the starter issue.
At best, they poorly diagnose auto issues. At worst, they knowingly perform unnecessary and expensive repairs in order to pad your bill. I won’t return.
Keep looking. There are much better shops.

Drive up, no customer service. Walked in, got even worse customer service. Set an appointment up and was told 99% of my service may be guaranteed. Cancelled appointment went acoss the way and everything was taken care of in a matter of minutes.

These guys were very rude to my wife when she took our car in for an oil change. They ignored her when she returned to pick up the car, ignored another female in the waiting room, but jumped to their feet when a man walked in. This is just unacceptable behavior in today’s world. They were also laughing at my wife when she was trying to discipline our 2.5 yo daughter for acting out… offered her mm’s in the middle of a tantrum. Who does that! We will not be returning.
