I will definitely be coming back. Grant took care of our issue on the spot, quickly and pleasantly. Even gave me a bottled water. Best price, too. Called ahead and was in and out with a new hard drive within an hour. Not days or weeks, less than an hour. Also seems to know what the heck he is doing which is a big plus! ;-)

My I phone froze up the other day and went AT&T store in Georgetown for help, and of course they didn’t want to help, they can take money from you to get a phone but if something goes wrong with iPhone off to Apple Store. Found Tyrosys and took a shot at this place, walked and explained to Grant what was wrong, he knew right away what was wrong, explained what needed to be done, told me why there was an issue and how to fix it, his prices to fix it were very reasonable, he was very friendly, professional, understanding I was upset, but assured me he could fix problem, and showed me how to prevent this issue from happening again. Grant made feel comfortable and relaxed that all would be ok. Grant fix my phone within an hour and made sure all was working on my phone before I left. Before you go to the madhouse at Apple Store check this guy out. Great place, Thank you Grant for making a bad day a whole lot better.

In addition Grant is very patient on questions we had on a recent upgrade and back up issue. We called with questions and he answered them quickly and stayed on the phone until issues resolved.
Consistent with excellent customer service

It’s rare that I’m as impressed by a business as much as I am with Tyrosys. I’m a web designer, gamer, author… yeah, I spend my life in front of my screen, as many of us do. And I’d consider myself pretty knowledgeable about Macs — I’ve been using them since I was a kid. But Grant and the team blew my mind.
You know how there are people who drink coffee, and then there are people who *live* coffee? They speak a whole different language from most people, and live in a world where coffee has more depth than you and I could imagine? Well, it’s clear from two minutes talking with the Tyrosys crew that they live in that world beyond our world, when it comes to Apple products (and maybe coffee, too — I didn’t ask).
Not only did I get fast service at a cost I consider way more than fair, I got helpful tips, advice, and insights that are going to make my computing life better — and that’s super helpful when my computer is as big a part of my life as it is. I’m actually kinda looking forward to the next time I take my Mac in for service, as crazy as that sounds.
Customer for life? Totally.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received on my MacBook. I’m fairly comfortable with computers and am not afraid to try to resolve problems on my own. However, this time I had a problem that led me to believe I had a major problem with my laptop. I found Tyrosys with a Google search and decided that they would be a good place to bring in my laptop for analysis. I’m glad I did
Within minutes of bringing the laptop in they had it on diagnostics and had the problem pinpointed. It was, as I had thought, a hard drive crash. I didn’t tell them I felt that’s what happened, but they came to the same conclusion. I was offered a multitude of choices for replacement and type of drive. At no point did I feel rushed or ‘sense fear tactics” (as mentioned in a different review).
I dropped my laptop off at 1:00 and I was called at 4:00 that it was ready. When they booted it up for me everything was just as it was before the crash. This is because they were able to restore my programs and files from my time machine backup.
The pricing for parts and labor are comparable to other prices I found online. I was able to avoid having to drive into Austin. I got service from someone who made me feel like they really cared (Thanks Grant!) and the turn around was incredible.
Don’t go to Austin for Apple Computer repairs. Come to Tyrosys. You’ll be glad you did.

Not a fan. Sensed fear tactics as a method of selling their service. And in the end I was much better served and happier at the Genius Bar. Will just go to the domain from now on.

My hard drive on one of our MacBook’s went out. I purchase my own hard drive and installed it myself. No big deal, except on this particular model of MacBook only a certain OS could be loaded on it and I didn’t have it.
Also ended my old data recovered.
Grant did it in a timely manner. I thought the price was high for practically all labor but you get what you pay for. He did the job (probably cheaper than Apple would have) and quickly. For a local Apple certified repair store, it’s got my vote. I’ll go back if I need. Thanks for the help!

I am very happy with the work done on my 2008 computer. It was done in a timely manner and it runs like a new Mac now.

In the fall of last year, I was having trouble with my Mac turning on and off. I dreaded the thought of going into Austin to the Apple Store! Parking at the Domain is hard to find and when you do find a place to park it can be a long way from your destination. Lines at the Apple store are usually always long and not being a «tech» person I usually don’t understand too much of what they tell me and they are too busy to explain. I had read about Tyrosys in the Williamson County Sun newspaper and decided to take my computer there. I’m very glad that I did! Grant had my computer fixed in a very timely fashion. He explained to me what had happened and personally showed me what to do to keep it from happening again. All that was required was a little monthly maintenance that I had no idea was needed. Quite frankly, I don’t know what the cost difference would have been if any had I taken it to the Apple store but I do know this: Grant was friendly, professional, provided great service in a timely manner, in a location that was much closer to where I live and do business than the Apple store. I can’t put a price on that!
When I picked up my computer, I noticed that Tyrosys offered classes to Mac users. Initially, I had signed up for One on One with Apple but for personal reasons I was only able to complete one class. That class was a waste of money and of my time. They Apple store is always a hub-​bub of activity. It is noisy and distracting. Not a good place for someone who is a first time Mac user to learn how to use their Mac. The instructor did not have a game plan but rather wanted me to tell him what I wanted to know. I was a first time Mac user… I had NO idea what I wanted or needed to know.
I had been «getting by» on my Mac for 2 to 3 years before I found Tyrosys. I signed up for one on one classes with Grant. He provided a discount to me because I signed up for at least 3 classes. The classes went so well, I extended my sessions for 2 more classes. While using my Mac «on my own» for 2 to 3 years, I kept a notebook with all the my Mac questions hoping that someday I would find someone who could help me. Grant went over each and every question in my notebook. He filled in the blanks for me SYSTEMATICALLY. He had a method. If I had a question about documents he would answer that question and then continue to teach me other things I needed to know about documents and had no idea that I needed to know. By the time we were finished with documents I had a good handle not only on what I was doing but why. In other lessons we covered programs such as iphoto. Grant helped me download the latest edition of the program and made sure that everything was good with the download before systematically working through the program showing me how it is organized (I had basically been using it backwards) and what the program would let me do with my pictures. He did an enormous amount of work with me on my email. He helped me understand my service provider and how to make my emails private from their roaming eyes! Those were just a few of the things that we worked on. Grant was always patient. He stopped to give me time to write things down so I wouldn’t forget. He repeated things when I didn’t understand or found another way to explain it. We worked in a comfortable, quiet area. Grant was always there at our appointed time. He was easy to reach by phone and I was always able to talk to him each and every time. No runaround, talking to one person and then the next, like you get at the Apple store.
I will continue to take my Mac to Grant at Tyrosys for any problems I may have and for yearly maintenance. I believe that he is a man of intergrity and that is the kind of person I want to do business with.

The bottom line is if you drop your equipment off at an Apple store, you might be between 3 to 5 days before you can pick it up (in most cases). Why wait?
I was pleased to find out there is this local repair shop for Apple users located nearby, right here in Georgetown, TX with typically 24 hour turn around.
After speaking to Grant on the telephone regarding my situation, I would not hesitate to suggest to any of my co-​workers and friends to put Tyrosys at the top of their list for Apple computer servicing. He really knows his stuff and has the right customer service personality to match —- you really don’t get that just anywhere. You really have to go to the right place to get that level of confidence. Grant at Tyrosys excels in his knowledge and making the potential customer know he will do a good job; which for me is not an easy achievement.
I am a computer tech and software engineer myself; often I build my own computers. However, when you have an Apple computer you can’t necessarily do your own work as it would void the warranty. Whether you’re a computer tech or not, you want someone that will work on your equipment with the knowledge and care your equipment deserves. With my background, I know the right questions to ask to know if the person that is going to work on my equipment will do a good job. Grant is definitely that person, yet it goes further than just knowledge. You can tell by his enthusiasm that customer service and explaining things to the customer are important to him. As someone that is very careful with who he chooses to work on his own equipment with very high stringent standards, I very much felt Grant would do a superior job and I would not hesitate to suggest others to use his services based on my experience thus far.
Fortunately for me, my situation resolved itself on its own; to be very clear I did not get a chance to have my equipment worked on directly by Grant or his team. Yet, if the circumstances arises — I would not hesitate in the future as I believe my equipment would be taken care of with a fast turn around time and great care.
This review is to give a definite 5 star rating to the knowledge level that I as a computer tech and engineer perceived Grant to have in addition to his overwhelming attitude of supreme customer service when and if I ever have any of my Apple machines worked on in the future.
I research everything I do as fully as possible before I make a purchase or have any repairs done to my equipment; I ask all the questions that need to be asked (in my opinion and anyone that knows me will say the same). When and if I must get my Apple computer serviced I don’t need to look any further as my research is complete with Grant at Tyrosys.

I had a unique computer software installation problem. I went to Tyrosys and not only did they do a spectacular job they did it as well inexpensively and in one day. They also did things I din not ask them to do at no charge.
