I walked into a small shop and discovered a diamond in the rough, Sung Han, Master Craftsman and owner of Framing by Art Galaxy. We had suffered considerable damage to our pictures and artwork during our move to Germantown. I had not a clue what to do to restore them back to their original state. Mr. Han gently and soothingly calmed me down. By the end of our meeting he even had me laughing. «Bring the articles here and I will help you». To make a long story short, Presto, it was magical. Not only did he restore them he made them more beautiful than before. The framing, the backing, the whole finished products were inspiring. Each job that I bring to him, I rely on his talent and inspiration and I always walk out with a piece of art framing more wonderful than the picture itself. When he asks me what I want, I always respond, «I can go anywhere for framing work, I come here for your gifted inspirational talented art of putting that «Special touch» of Framing by Art Galaxy. Thank you again for the awesome job you performed on my son-in-law’s Navy Retirement Certificate and his Certificate from President Obama. They were breathtakingly beautiful.
Also thank you for repairing the frame on my daughter’s Master’s Nursing degree from Old Dominion University at no cost. You are truly gifted, talented and generous and I will always bring all my framing work to you. Also thank you for your prompt one day turnaround service, again at no additional cost and now I have an excellent Father’s day present. Forever a loyal customer of yours… Linda J. Hale

I bumped into «Framing by Arts Galaxy» quite by accident. I had moved back to Germantown MD after working overseas for 12 years and I had a lot of movie posters that I wanted framed.
Framing by Arts Galaxy was the closest business to my home so I went in. I had seven large (2′ by 3′) movie posters and 10 smaller ones (18″ x 12″). He did a magnificent job and I was surprised how reasonable his prices are.
His latest work of art was of a 1795 silver dollar which he framed on a red velvet background and he matched the frame to the color of the coin.
The proprietor takes EXTREME pride in his work and it shows.

I have used this shop and have never been disappointed. Framing has varied from certificates to multi-​dimension sports memorabilia pieces. Outstanding quality and service!

Have seen this place multiple times when driving by and when dining at the Mexican restaurant next door. Was pleased to find other Unilocal reviewers raving about it. We are happy to give business to the locally owned and operated store. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable and presented us with many ideas and possibilities. He took a lot of time explaining everything to us, and giving us the best options available to us for our job. The price was extremely reasonable and came in a lot cheaper than what we expected and for what I had researched and was prepared to be quoted prior to going to the shop. We were pleased to find out that all the work is done on site and at the framing shop, vs. other big box stores that send the job off site to be framed. We weren’t in a hurry to get our piece back, but it took a little over a week. The picture looks excellent and the framing is perfection. Would definitely return with additional pieces, and highly recommend him.

Fantastic place! The owner was super friendly and knew what he was doing (always a plus). Their prices are fair and their work is excellent. They were able to frame something for me in a matter of days so I could give it as a gift for Father’s Day. Will go back to them again and again.

I was looking for a framing shop for an idea I had for my first anniversary gift to my wife. Like most people I started off by researching where to take my business. Framing by Art happened to be my first stop and long story short it ended up being my only stop.
I cannot express just how great Mr. Han is. He is extremely friendly, professional, and very personable. I forgot to mention his work is top notch and for a price that cannot be beat. I could really go into some detail here, but there really is no need. I will be taking all my future projects here and have already told many of my friends and family members.
Oh yea… my wife was so surprised and blown away by the final product she actually started shedding tears.

Over the years my family has brought many complicated and unusual items to be framed. They took alot of work and thought. Each was finished in such a special way that we couldn’t imagine it done any better. The personal attention and care was really great. We would give the store the highest possible rating and more. I had a few very special art pieces that I bought during my travels custom framed here. The owner provided great customer help and the final work was well put together and high quality. This is quality framing at affordable prices. I am so content with all my final pieces. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality work and outstanding customer service. I have had several custom pieces framed here and I agree entirely with what the other reviewers have said– 5 stars all around. The owner in addition to providing outstanding work at more affordable pricing, offers impeccable customer service as well. Helpful hint: look out for Living Social Deals to save even more (that’s how I originally found the place)
