Pediatrics East

I chose Dr. Anthony Senter as our Pediatrician based on a solid referral from a friend we trust. My decision was made all the more easy when I found numerous reviews after doing a simple Google search on his name. Word on the street is, this guy is pretty fabulous at what he does. I didn’t get the chance to meet or «interview» him if you will, before we had our son. I was a little nervous to meet him and see what I had gotten myself into today at our first appointment.
I was completely blown away by this man’s professionalism and amazing bedside manner. He spent the first 15 minutes of our appointment talking to us about how completely overwhelming and difficult these first few days are as new parents. I’m sure we both looked like the walking dead as I swear I have had a grand total of 10 hours of sleep the last 7 days. He really made us feel comfortable by acknowledging one of the hardest things I think either of us has gone through in a long time.
When it came time to take care of the little man he again exceeded my expectations. He picked him up and held him and just talked to him for a few minutes. You could really tell he was genuinely excited to have another newborn patient and wasn’t in a rush to get on to the next person waiting his arrival next door. He listened to our questions and referred us to some great resources for breast feeding. I’m very happy with our decision and even after this first, short encounter would feel comfortable referring anyone to him. I am looking forward to my son’s doctor visits in the future. It will be nice to have a doctor I not only feel at ease with, but someone who knows what he is doing and treats my son like something other than just another dollar sign on his paycheck.
