My family and I have been patients of Dr. McConnell for many years. We have received consistently excellent care, from cleanings to crowns. The office is spotless and the care is very professional and thorough. I recommend him highly.

Fantastic office. My wife and I just recently changed dentists. Dr. McConnell and his staff made our new experience as positive as it could be. Great communication from arriving to leaving. Very clean office and family friendly. We don’t have a negative thing to say about Dr. McConnell’s office.

If he says crown or crowns its a Nightmare waiting to happen. Had two crowns done 2.5 years ago. One has been extracted and the other one is bothering me as I type. Moved out of the area so no recourse but letting people know the work he does. Thanks

Went on the high recommendation of a friend. My first cleaning was great. The technician was really kind and gentle and when Dr. McConnell came in, he was really nice. I was told I needed to get four crowns done and that little by little we’d replace my silver fillings with tooth-colored ones to look more natural, as needed to be replaced. Fine with me if they need to be replaced… Went in to get a crown and had to go back THREE times because my temporary crown kept falling out. Not only was it falling out, each time it felt awkward. When I mentioned this, they kept saying«you’ll get used to it.» I guess it takes three times for it to feel normal and for it to actually stick. Finally got my crown done and while it is tooth-colored, you can see a gray line from the filling by my gums. Plus, the crown has become very yellowed(and I do brush!) In regards to the staff, most of the technicians are friendly, although somewhat unprofessional. While I was in the chair, they were on the computers looking things up on craiglist and browsing the internet. One of the women at the front desk(the one who isn’t his i’m-guessing-his-wife) is LESS than friendly. Really turned off by her on my first visit and my impression never changed after my multiple visits. I must admit that when I found out my new insurance was no longer accepted by Dr. McConnell’s office, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Of cousre I could’ve changed at any time, but since you only go to the dentist a couple times a year, you can’t really«try» dentists out too much. I just went to a new dentist today that was GREAT. When I mentioned that Dr. McConnell mentioned I needed to get a couple crowns, he said«Unless it’s just for aesthetics, I see no need to do that right now.» Interesting. Later on in the day, I called Dr. McConnell’s office to get a copy of my x-rays sent(the ones that circle my entire head), I was told that it wold be $ 25. Annoying, but whatever. I was pretty surprised when I called right back to see where I should send the check and the girl said«oh, you have a credit so I just subtracted it from that.» A credit? When I asked for how much, she said $ 250! For me, that is not pocket change. I found this pretty frustrating because when I called two months ago to tell them I would be leaving because of my insurance, they mentioned NOTHING about this credit. Only when I called again for some odd reason did they mention my credit. Had I not called to do this, there would never have been any reason for them to think to refund me my money! This is just the icing on the cake as to why this is a dentist I’m happily not returning to.

Dr. McConell’s office is located in a medium sized doctor’s park in Germantown. The office is clean and well-lit. The receptionist is passable, could be friendlier. The oral hygienist did a decent job, though I wish she spent a bit more time. The doctor briefly looked at my bitewings and glanced at my teeth. It was passable. He is friendly. His office features ‘best dentist’ awards.
