I came to Dr. Smith’s office after seeing a Groupon he was offering. I was in Memphis for just a week, to help family deal with some health problems. But I’m a very busy grad student at home and figured I could use the little free time I had to take care of myself too. I called the office and explained my situation, and they offered to see me ASAP even though I was unlikely to become a regular patient(living in Chicago, Memphis is a bit far to go for a dentist)! My family didn’t believe they would fit me in, but this office takes the Hippocratic oath seriously! People hate dentists, fear dentists… any willingness to see one by a patient should be seen as the chance to help others! And they do. The dentist and hygienist treated me like an educated, thinking adult, who could responsibly weigh options and make long term decisions. The hygienist who did my cleaning was very skilled, causing very little discomfort, even though I had actually gone over a little over a year between cleanings(embarrassed whistle). A great experience at the dentist is a thing to be treasured, and this office makes me wish a teeny bit that I lived in Memphis… but much more that it was in my home city!
