The hotel itself seemed nice at first, however there were a few complications. The bathroom door didn’t lock, and we found a bed bug in our bed! When we brought the bug down to the receptionist, she simply offered to throw it away; no apology or offers to make us feel better. Early in the day when we were checking in, the same receptionist took about half an hour to check us in. As we were getting impatient, the receptionist started complaining about us to a coworker. To add onto this, there was a church scrapbooking group there who constantly harassed my children and then claimed they had«rented out the hotel» for the weekend and were very rude about the fact that we were staying there. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The drive to and the grounds of the hotel/conference center complex are lovely. The front desk area was acceptable. Even though we payed a reduced rate for an event, I would not recommend the Aspire. The walls were extremely thin-I could hear the main entrance alert anytime someone entered the building as well as in the hallways and adjacent rooms– the security latch on the door was broken off, there was debris and dust bunnies in the bathroom, food remnants(a crust of pizza I believe and some unidentifiable bits) on the carpet under the desk along with mold and water damage visible on the ceiling and around the bordering wall paper. There was a large hole in the mattress cover on one bed, and the pillows had an unwashed odor on the other. The shower head sprayed in every direction except on the person showering and was so slow to drain that I was standing in ankle deep water by the time I finished. Later, we found that the television remote did not work at all. Overall, everything seemed to need a thorough scrubbing and a little updating. Not the worst I’ve seen, but not worth even the discounted rate.

Needs a little cosmetic work but overall clean, nice staff, very large room and in a quiet part of town five miles from downtown. Would definitely come back

I came here for a one night visit to tour the area. I got the room through Hotwire at a $ 61 rate before taxes. I arrived after dark and checked in. The lobby area is a little sparse. It made me feel like this is more of a convention hotel. My room was big. AC worked fine. One of my queen beds could have used a new mattress just on one end but I actually slept on the other end and it was fine. Bathroom and shower ok. I like the grounds this property is on. Nice and peaceful. I would stay here again.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. Some of the highlights of a «family friendly» hotel — drunken, rowdy«large group» smoking marijuana and setting off fire alarms in the wee hours of the morning, pool closed(thankfully, as sex acts are apparently encouraged poolside) GM Joe Spadolini said he would«make things right» but no response after multiple phone calls. My little daughter even found $ 60 in bathroom, turned it in and we watched pregnant receptionist stick it in her pocket(baby need new shoes?)

It is what it is– not my normal type of hotel… But super clean, modern, friendly service. It’s not luxury, but does the job inexpensively and efficiently. We are here for an event and after hearing nightmare stories about the Eisenhower next door we are happy to be here. Toilet works, good shower, tons of tv stations, 2 yes 2 king beds in enormous room. Air conditioning works. No room service. Heard food is bad– but we went in town to eat. Great location. If I weren’t a bit of a Hotel Snob I’d give this place 4 or 5 stars, but my bar is set a bit high. On that note I’d never hesitate to stay here again.

Okay so I admit, the rooms are spacious, they were clean for sure. The few staff members I met were very friendly. So here is what I don’t like. 1. The pillows were hard as rocks 2. The TV channel selection was horrible. Seriously how long can I sit there and watch COPS? That’s pretty much all that was on the entire time. Well that and the news. 3. The hotel«Lounge» was terribly expensive, two burgers, and wings should never cost $ 45.00 4. The shower was broken, it was just dripping water. Remind me of one of those«low flow» heads from a Seinfeld episode. You know the one that I’m talking about. 5. Oh and someone was trying to get into my room at 11:30PM at night. would I stay there again? I dunno, it’s hard to pass up a place to stay for what I paid. Oh one last thing it’s only about 10 miles from Liberty Ski Resort. If you don’t want to pay a boat load of money to stay at the resort. Well think about this place as option. Just make sure you read above. :-)

Super clean and spacious rooms. Had a blast at the go-karts next door at the fun center. Kids enjoyed the pool in the older section of the Eisenhower Hotel the Aspire is attached to. Convenient to battlefields, but outside of downtown location was nice. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked this room 2 weeks prior to the 150th anniversary celebration for the Battle of Gettysburg. We feel we very much lucked out with a clean, spacious, staff friendly hotel. Even with a very crowded hotel full of young kids, we never heard other guests while in our room. The staff provided us plenty of resources to make the most out of our stay. The only thing that would have been nicer is a complimentary breakfast.

Great family place to stay, rates are reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious & clean. Situated near all Gettysburg attractions. I give 3 stars though because one of the factors in choosing this hotel was a free continental breakfast which would streamline our mornings. Come to find out that had been discontinued. Front desk did give me $ 5 vouchers to use in the restaurant for each person in my party. It was a nice gesture but they should remove the continental breakfast from the website.
