This pub/bar is pretty popular, there were no seats around the bat on a Saturday night. The wings were just ok, and the chocolate chip cookies and milk dessert was pretty good. Nice place to stop in for a few drinks as it is located right on the square.

From the time we entered this restaurant, we were greeted and helped with courtesy. The menu was varied with great appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. For an appetizer we got the grilled cheese bites that came with a mustard dipping sauce and one that contained horseradish. My husband liked both but I only liked the mustard one. Very unique and tasty bites. My husband ordered s burger with bacon dressing and corn fritters. I had the Texas dry rub wings with mesquite and lime. Everything was hot and fresh. We will definitely come back and certainly recommend it to fellow travelers.

Great food great service. Well worth the wait, and the bartenders ALWAYS make great tasting drinks. This is by far my favorite place to eat in Gettysburg. They have unique burgers that come with a flag! Craft beer is always running on tap. There is a full service bar on one side and restaurant tables on the other so it’s a great place to bring your family for lunch/dinner or to just come hang :) Save room for dessert!!!

This place is one of the best burger joints I have been to. That being said, more than just the burgers are awesome. The stuffed jalapeños are delicious as are the wings. They take bar food to the next level.

My husband and I came here for lunch and it was great! We had the Chorizo Totachos for an appetizer and they were awesome! They were covered in homemade cheese sauce, avocado crema, jalapeño peppers, onions, tomatoes, and of course chorizo. Amazing. For lunch, my husband had a burger– I can’t remember the name– but it had a piece of sausage on the burger: amazing. I had a buffalo chicken wrap, which was delicious. The atmosphere here is great too. Our server was super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend coming here!

Let me start by saying the server is hot so that’s a plus. Easy on the eyes, he is. The food. We ordered the Grilled Cheese Bites and those were to-die for! My friend, who usually hates every restaurant ordered the General Heath burger. The verdict is, «put this in the hall of fame». I got a regular ol’ wedge with added avocado & that is pretty fantastic as well. Service was swift even though the place is packed on a Sunday. Now I know why. Two huge thumbs up!

Great burgers and service. Stopped her after a day touring the battle field. Signature named Generals burger choices made the whole experience complete… They had one with peanut butter for a confederate general(Longstreet) from Virginia. The service during this visit did not disappoint us. We had eaten here just after they had opened a few years ago, and I report that the service is still top notch. This is a must for any Traveller to the Gettysburg area.

This is easily the best restaurant I’ve experienced in Gettysburg, and I can’t wait to go back. After several disappointing restaurant experiences in Gettysburg, Blue & Gray was a welcome surprise. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you should definitely be prepared to wait for a bit on a Friday or Saturday night, as it can get crowded, but we found space at the bar and drank and watched hockey while we waited. The menu is expansive and everything we ordered was delicious. In addition to the regular menu, they had a bunch of specials on the night we were there, and they were amazing. We started with totchos– basically tater tots smothered in cheese and other goodies, and then split an order of 1st Minnesota wings, which were cooked perfectly. I had the Bahn Mi, which was on the special menu, and the beau had the General Longstreet, which was awesome. I appreciated that I could get a salad with my sandwich, and it was delicious. Definitely worth going to if you’re in Gettysburg– don’t even bother with the restaurants on the tourist side of town.

This place was a pleasant surprise for an afternoon snack while in town for a long weekend. Plenty of tables and TV’s, which is exactly what we were looking for at this point in time. Fast and efficient staff and cheap beer. I was actually surprised by how reasonably priced beer was in Gettysburg, but specifically here where they even had $ 5 Anchor Steam pitchers. The wings were great even though we settled on honey BBQ which was not my preference. We also had some waffle fries and a small Greek salad, both of which were great. While looking around I would say their burger is a must have as everyone seemed to be enjoying theirs. Conveniently located in the center of town so it’s worth a visit.

I’d give this place 4.5 stars if I could. A family member had been here and recommended it so we stopped through while visiting family. Got a burger and it was so delicious. I ordered it medium, it came out closer to medium well, but the burger was still juicy — not dry — and had great flavor. I am pretty sure they season the meat which is a must-have for me since I usually eat mine pretty plain. They had a garlic mayo sort of thing that was also full of flavor and a great complement to the burger. Skip the sweet potato fries, they’re waffle fries. Our batch was overcooked and extremely chewy but the batch everyone else got was not overcooked but was still chewy. I’d hope that the restaurant chooses a different brand/vendor for the sweet potato fries because there are plenty of other options out there. The crab cake was pretty decent. It’s isn’t lump crab but it’s still good and hella filling. Most of the stuff on the menu looked pretty decent, I would definitely come back to try more. The ambiance is definitely more like a bar, the bar takes up the front section of the restaurant to about midway. There are plenty of tables though. It gets a bit loud but not to the extent that it’s overly disruptive to the dining experience, not unless there;s a game on, I imagine. I give it the stamp of approval and say, check it out!

Nice, bright place for lunch. As much of a bar as a restaurant, but a bar that a family can be around. This is located right on the Gettysburg square so exceedingly convenient. Though pretty crowded, we sat right down at a table at the window. and(except for a drink refill that I waited for) service was prompt. The food was excellent. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and she had the hamburger with a hot dog on top(she thought she was ordering a hot dog – her fault, not the restaurants). One clever touch: the burgers are either Union or Confederate and come with a corresponding flag on top of them. Prices were reasonable. My only regret was that I wish I was hungrier so I could’ve tried the wings or other appetizers. Next time…

Excellent place, excellent food, friendly staff and interesting connection with history. Both locals(for sports and drink) and tourists(for the civil war burgers) love this place. Located at the center of Gettysburg downtown square. Already crowded by 5:30pm so had to sit in bar, but experience is as good as it gets! Ordered Gen. John Buford burger(with Bleu Cheese) and 14th Tennessee wings(honey BBQ). Both were perfect! Burger’s bread roll was soft and hot, melted submerged in cheese. Beef medium-well was just right and chewy. Wings were hot and cheesy, BBQ sauce melting to every corner of skin. Watched NCAA champion week games while having food. Definitely recommended to all visitors!

Passing through Gettysburg, my parents and I stopped at Blue & Gray Bar & Grill. Thursday nights happened to be Steak Night. If you choose this option, you can select from 12oz NY Strip, 14oz Ribeye, or 8oz Filet Mignon as well as toppings on us(e.g., Red WIne Reduction, Blue Cheese Butter, Garlic Herb Butter) or toppings on you(e.g., Mushroom and Onion, Shrimp Scampi, and Lump Crab Cake). The bar area has lots of televisions, making it the the perfect place to watch sports. I didn’t like their music selection(e.g., punk rock/emo) as it didn’t really fit well with the mood. I get that this bar is located in a historic town. We ordered the following: French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad with Chicken, Crab Cake Sandwich, and 14oz Ribeye topped with Lump Crab Cake in Red Wine Reduction. The French Onion Soup consisted of a salty beef broth, onions, chopped sour dough bread, topped with melted cheese. I liked how there were crispy bread crumbles topped with melted cheese. The Caesar Salad consisted of chopped romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan cheese, and croutons tossed in a runny caesar dressing topped with grilled canned chicken. The Crab Cake Sandwich consisted of broiled crab cake topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro lime aioli, and tangy dill sauce in between two buttery toasted bun. This was best thing we order. We upgraded the hand cut fries for delicious, waffle style sweet potato fries. The 14oz Ribeye was rubbed with peppercorn, grilled, but surprisingly very chewy. The lump crabcake was deep fried as opposed to broiled. The red wine reduction should have been on the side as opposed to the steak being soaked in it.

Nice place right in the heart of Gettysburg. Has a big bar with plenty of seating and tv’s to catch every moment of the game. Service is quick and food is tasteful.

When one becomes HANGRY from multiple wine tastings from across the street, one must come here! FORWINGS =) YUM! This place has the longest list of chicken wing sauces I have ever seen(minus Buffalo Wild Wings because they are gross). This place is awesome! You can even order each wing in a different sauce if you want(this may be false since our waiter loved us, he may have just done us a favor)! The server I had was super nice and even brought us a small birthday sundae for my sister once he found out that we came two hours to come out here. The staff obviously goes beyond for their customers. Notes: Bathrooms are clean! Walking distance of other bars, wineries and shops. Easy parking access. Very large bar inside.

Yay! I’m a fan! On the«corner» of a roundabout, Blue and Gray Bar and Grill did not disappoint. They a have wraps, wings, and salads but the real gems are their burgers. Divided between Union and Confederate burgers, there are some very creative burgers. Now, you can get a plain ol’ bacon cheeseburger, but it’s not on the menu. May I suggest that you come here willing to try a creative take on a burger and just go for something that sounds a little bit outside of your usual comfort zone. Cold brews and a definite bar atmosphere make this a fun stop before or after heading to see Gettysburg National Park. The staff is friendly once you figure out the entrance and service was not quick, but efficient. A helpful hint: The front door is actually on the corner of the building facing the roundabout. Use that entrance to find the hostess stand.

If you’re a burger person, this is your place. Tucked nicely in Lincoln square, blue and gray has a lot to offer. Weather you’re looking for a family meal, or having a few drinks with friends, blue and gray is the place to go. I had a fresh burger that was on the«confederate» side of the menu and featured pulled pork and slaw. It was on a bakery fresh bun and had waffle fries. The mixed drinks and beer and very affordable. A jack and coke, poured strong for a simple $ 3. Waiter was polite and was well versed on the menu items. Only issue I would say is the hostess. We were told there was a 30 minute wait. However we only waited 10 minutes. I’m others walked in behind us and we’re told 45 minutes. Most people left and went elsewhere because they didn’t want to wait. It’s important to give accurate time because you’re taking money out the owners pocket. Lastly, I wasn’t huge on the live music. It’s not that it’s was too loud. More of that it wasn’t really good. A hipster in a golf hat and a mustache played the harmonica and guitar with a bassist. The songs all sounded the same and I couldn’t help but wonder why they would not want to play the radio. Just my opinion. I’ll be back though. Good restaurant.
