Excellent cupcakes, good coffee and very friendly service. Best red velvet cupcakes since South Carolina.

This is a very cute little coffee shop with a nice atmosphere but I had a troubling experience with the service. Firstly, only 2 of the 5 caffeinated drip coffee canisters had coffee in them and one ran out forcing me to combine two different roasts. Secondly, I got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the center of the scrambled egg was gray… Wtf + plus the bagel was rubbery. Lastly, the service was not helpful or empathetic when I ask about the coffee situation and blamed me for not checking the weight of the canister to see how full it was. Maybe just an off day for this café, but I don’t think I will be going back.

Amazing coffee! The shop has such a great vibe. The veggie wrap is amazing (add hot sauce for a great kick!) The coffee is the absolute best, don’t forget to scoop up a bag to brew at home! The baristas are so wonderful and kind. If the weather is fair have a seat in the garden, that place is magical.

One of my favorite places to be. During the winter it’s very comfortable next to the fire. Service is really friendly and helpful. The coffee is tasty. My daughter loves their hot chocolate and I also enjoy the Chai Latte. The pastries are very tasty as well. There’s a real friendly, home town feel and we come every time we are in town.

The Ragged edge, located one block from the center of town, is a great place to get coffee, snacks and hang out. Coffee selection is great and If you like to sit and drink and read or play around on your laptop or even work on the Great American novel the Ragged Edge is a good and friendly place to do that.

Coffee is good, food is decent, but service for food is SLOW beyond all reason. I’ve waited over 20 minutes for a slice of quiche to go. It would be easily forgivable if it were a one-​time thing, but it happens consistently. Don’t bother if you have somewhere to be.

Very friendly but massively overworked staff. Manager was walking around looking lost. 30 minutes for a microwaved egg sandwich. Thank goodness the coffee was good. Go and just have coffee if you’re not in a hurry.

Great little coffee shop with breakfast all day, local coffee and the fruit bowl was seriously worth the extra $ 1. Very affordable and the smoothies looked awesome!

I came here for lunch and to get some work done the other day. I haven’t actually been to the Ragged Edge since last summer, so I’m not sure how new this is, but they have cold brew now! This is exciting news. They also had some pretty incredible brownies in the dessert case. There’s a garden out back, so if it’s a nice day, definitely sit outside!

Atmosphere: Excellent!

Service: Excellent!
Friendly, quick and courteous. Everyone had a smile on their face and while I was there they greeted everyone that walked in the door, the regulars were greeted by name. The regulars were welcoming and friendly as well.
Pastries: very good
chocolate éclair was different than what we have in Boston but was excellent, fresh, soft with a creamy filling.
Cinnamon twists: were like a sticky bun without the nuts. Sticky, gooey, sweet cinnamon goodness. The twist was a less messy version than the bun and a great option for those that don’t the nuts
Coffee: outstanding!
Went with the staff recommendation of the Costa Rican, I am not a coffee expert but this was a very strong but smooth coffee for being labeled as «bold» (and my first few tastes were without cream and sweetener)
**after I finished my first cup I returned and got a cold brewed ice coffee! Simply the BEST ice coffee I have ever had! How does one go back to Dunkins or Starbucks??? Well if I lived in Gettysburg I wouldn’t have to!
Overall I highly recommend the Ragged Edge Coffee House! If I make it back to Gettysburg I will make it back there as well!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in town. Star***** who? Great food, smoothies, great staff… just perfect!

Local coffee shop/​café with loads of charm. Ragged Edge serves healthy smoothies, juices, homemade treats, sandwiches and much more. Stopped in on a weekday for lunch and juice. Friendly service, super cozy interior — this is the type of place you’ll want to hang out in for awhile with amazing company or solo with a great book. Small porch with a few outdoor tables overlooking downtown.
They also sell their own coffee which is fantastic, btw. I bought a special limited edition blend which is perfect.
You must try this place if you’re in the Gettysburg area.

Service, coffee, atmosphere were all excellent. The baked oatmeal was amazing, egg and cheese bagel was great. Lots of friendly locals there.

Good was great, coffee was excellent! There was only one girl working at lunchtime so it took forever to get our food and I felt bad for her :/​but she handled it well :) I’ll be back !!!

So great we visited it twice in one day. This place was a nice spot to grab a morning coffee and to sit outside while figuring out what to see while in Gettysburg. The service was great and they have a menu with items for vegans, vegetarians, and for people with less restricted diets.
The Eighty Two pita pesto wrap was outstanding as was the peanut butter banana smoothie.
For Ingress nerds; you’ll be happy to know that this café is within range of 3 to 5 portals!
I’d go regularly if I was local.

This establishment provides a creative, dynamic, and relaxing atmosphere, with great coffee to boot. Its only hangup is that it stretches itself too thin in terms of menu options and fails to follow through with good service during peak hours.
The positives: The coffee, which is great, is not what sets the Ragged Edge apart for me. Instead, I’m impressed by the feel of the place. Upon entering, there’s a feel that this is a true local place, in that it both participates in the surrounding community and facilitates participation by others. Flyers abound advertising various events and causes in Gettysburg. Ever changing artwork by local artists lines the walls. People watching is fun as tourists make one-​time stops while locals sit for hours. There are two floors available. The smoothies are delicious, and I have enjoyed many of the food items as well.
The negatives: There are some menu items offered which should be taken off the menu until the Ragged Edge learns to make them either well, quickly, or both. For instance, I ordered a hot chocolate, and it tasted like Swiss Miss. Now I’m not saying that Swiss Miss was actually used, as I didn’t watch the preparation, but if the end result is the same, does it matter? Of course, if Swiss Miss is the pinnacle of hot chocolate for someone, this is a positive, but I was annoyed that Starbucks had superior tasting hot chocolate.
Regarding the food, I often receive inconsistent service with respect to when my food will be served. Sometimes it is fast, sometimes it is slow, and it’s never clear to me or other customers if the food will be delivered to our table or if we have to go to the counter. This is a big problem at certain times, in particular the two Sunday mornings that I ordered breakfast sandwiches to go, and I ended up waiting over thirty minutes for the food when it didn’t look extraordinary busy at the moment, with no indication of how long it would take for the food. I could see that other patrons were annoyed as well.
Conclusion: The Ragged Edge is within a hair’s breadth of five stars. I suggest: a) improve some of the lackluster menu items, like the hot chocolate; b) improve process and training so there’s some combination of improved food preparation speed and there is improved communication to customers about wait times.

Any coffee shop outside of a Starbucks is always a treat to stop in and visit. They always have a unique selection of beans from new and interesting places and homemade baked goods to compliment the java. Cozy, friendly and decent seating. We didn’t spend a great deal of time in here but we had a good time. Great place to stop in before you head out to the Military Park or some shopping in town. Nothing powers you up more than caffeine and a brownie

I debated between a 4 and 5 since my mocha the first time we went was only ok, but everything else was so great I had to give them a 5. My second trip I got a café au lait and that was perfect.
The best thing here might be the breakfast sandwiches. Bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel? Yes, please.

I know how good coffee tastes and they serve a decent latte here but nothing memorable. It is still better than the burnt crap that you get at Starbucks or any other chain store.

Learned something new here again today. This place is very knowledgable AND has great coffee!
Staff is super friendly at this location and at the cart on the other end of town.
This location has a hidden garden in the back. It’s so peaceful and makes you feel your in the middle of no where not the center of town.
The only downside is that the hours are interesting so check before you go, unless your a regular and have it memorized!
I highly recommend this place.
