Alexander Valley Community Hall

After much thought, I am only giving the Hall 3 stars, mainly due to the very poor service and organization skills from the Hall’s Manager.
The hall is gorgeous! Beautiful hardwood floors, surrounded by oak trees and vineyards. I had my October wedding there and it was lovely. The hall already has hooks on the outside porch area, to string lights which is very convenient. I strongly suggest this place for its country feel and charm, inexpensive price and for the ability of being able to bring our own alcohol. The was extremely helpful in our overall budget.
The reason this location did not receive 5 out of 5 starts is completely due to the experience of working with the hall manager. From the beginning communication was extremely slow, weeks would go by before receiving any communication back. We had to completely choose a different wedding date based upon faulty information from her. We were told we could only save a date a year in advance, turns out she allowed another couple to do it a year and 4 months in advance. We also were told that we could reserve the friday before and sunday after for 150 dollars each day, when we went to reserve both days we were told they only did that a few weeks before the date and for 300 dollars a day. She quickly back tracked when we called her on it. Time and time again we had go to her with faulty information, it was an overall extremely frustraiting situation. It culminated the week of the wedding when I received a call saying she had misplaced our insurance coverage and she needed me to resend it.
We had a fantastic wedding at the hall but there were many instances of added frustraition and stress due to poor management and service. I wish it could have been different.

My husband and I got married here in 2001. It was great. It is a pretty basic hall with hardwood floors and beamed ceilings, and is a great space to hold up to 200 people. We loved how accommodating the property managers were and that we could bring our own catering and bar to the event. It was perfect. Given the exorbitant prices of things in Sonoma and Napa this seemed like a great solution. I would almost give it 5 stars except the raw natural beauty around the place isn’t as good as a lot of wineries to give it 5 stars. But my hubby and I couldn’t have been happier at this location. We felt like it was simple, classic, elegant and without restrictions. Perfect for our event.
