Established in 2013.

After working in the dog industry for more than 6 years, Caity stepped out on her own and started her own dog training business in 2013.

We hired Caity for our 11 month old Frenchton puppy «Macie». Her issues were barking at people when first greeting them, jumping on the furniture, walking on a leash, coming when called and lying down. Caity came out for the initial visit and taught us a lot about how dogs think and what we as humans do wrong. During that same visit she taught us how to invite her onto the couch when we want her to sit with us. Also how to stop the craziness when meeting a person who comes through our door with the great trick of a small water bottle & 5 pennies.
We hired Caity back last week (Macie was now 1 year old) to help with our other issues. In only an hour Macie was making huge progress. We are happy to have chosen her when we were looking for a in-​home trainer. We recommend her to all our friends. Thank you Caity.

I recently had the pleasure of learning from Caity. She worked with our 3 year old Lab/​Sheppard mix. She is a phenomenal trainer and very knowledgable about dogs. Caity has taken care of my American Stafford shire Terrier Holly many times and this time kept her for 2 weeks while we were in India. I did not worry a bit as Holly loves Caity. Caity is professional, trust worthy and responsible and is very easy to work with. I don’t require training for Holly although I can see that she is a great trainer but I do require that Holly gets lots of exercise that is not too demanding because she has had 2 TPLO surgeries and Holly needs lots of love. Caity always says Holly is easy but really Holly simply loves her and is very happy with her. Sometimes when we go to pick her up she doesn’t want to leave!
I highly recommend Balanced Behavior for all your pet care needs.

When I was first considering getting a puppy, Caity was the first person I went to for advice. She has the knowledge and experience to answer any dog related questions I had. Now that we have our chocolate lab Brix, there was no better choice than Caity for our dog training needs. She is patient with us, as new dog parents, and our puppy. She has a natural ability working with Brix and is a wealth of information! I would recommend Caity to anyone looking for dog training or dog sitting. Caity is our «go to» trainer who helped us become much better dog owners and is the one we turn to when we need an answer to any question with our Yellow Lab and his peculiar behavior patterns as he ages. She has the knowledge and the gift to ‘read’ dogs and her years of training under a master trainer have really made her an excellent trainer of both dogs and their people.

I work with Caity regularly. She is a big help to me and my own dog training business in Woodside. I have been lucky enough to witness her wonderful way with dogs. She is very experienced and has a wealth of knowledge about them. My Rat Terrier had an extended stay with Caity at Balanced Behavior Dog Training. I’m a worried pet mom and my dog is a handful so I was nervous about leaving her but Caity very nice, reassuring and took care of her like her own dog. I know my dog was happy while I was gone and I trust Caity to keep her in-​line (she needs it!) and healthy.
