Better selections than wimauma store but horrible customer service. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come check me out in the «pick up» line as numerous people walked past and acted like I wasn’t there. The Assistant manager went to go grab someone but said they were busy so she ended up helping me out anyway which she could have just done in the first place instead of finding someone else. Other than that no issues

I would give it zero stars if I could. The lines are never less than a 30 minute wait. Employees are not knowledgeable and tell you they don’t have an item if they don’t want to help. I will not be coming back anymore. Publix will be getting all my business for groceries. I have been coming to this location for 1 year, never had a good experience yet. Including one time when customers had to stop a dad from beating his son while employees stood back and watched. Never even called the police. Do better Walmart. Do better.

Went to customer service by the money service — Marilyn was awesome, bless her heart, she had a ton of people in line and she was the ONLY one behind the counter. Very polite and pleasant to do business with, she should get a raise. WAY TO GO MARILYN, keep up the great work — your a true GEM.
Now about the management — I really don’t understand WHY they understaff the way they do, they over work there employees and refuse to give credit where it’s due. Who ever is making out the schedule needs to be fired — they haven’t got a clue as how to do there job.

A Walmart is a Walmart!
This one happens to be very close to home, needed a few things so stopped in.
The store was clean, well stocked and quiet. No Walmartians here today. Got what we needed and headed to the checkout. Cashier was quite pleasant.
All in all a good experience!

This is our closest Walmart-​Gibsonton. We have been here many times prior to this visit and, to me, it has always been ground zero for Wal-​Martians. The store always looked dirty, crowded and a disaster with merchandise strewn everywhere. So instead of going out to Sun City to shop with the AARP crowd we thought we’d suck it up and go here, we just needed a few items.
Lo and behold the place was immaculate. Clean, well stocked, everything in place. I’m sure this was because it was around noon on a Wednesday. I’m not going in there after five or on a weekend. No way but during the weekday, ok.

This place is bad. Almost always wait forever to be checked. Self check is good but even that has lines. God forbid your station has an issue as the associate is probably helping another customer with a similar issue. Deli wait is usually bad unless you’re first in line. Even when you do order they aren’t breaking any speed records. If you’re on a budget and live close you have no choice but to come here. Valrico walmart is way better.

So I did not do my due diligence and read the reviews prior to heading out to the store. It certainly could have been a lot worse. Shelves were all stocked and store was clean. Not lots of checkers but not super busy for a Sunday evening either. The cleaning supplies were a little bare and I came mostly for that so somewhat disappointing.
My check out clerk was extremely efficient and personable. She actually seemed to enjoy her job and it showed. The parking lot was well lit and clerks were out gathering shopping carts when I went in and left so there were plenty available. I did notice several people waiting at deli counter while 2 clerks talking in the back and not acknowledging the customers.
Hope my future experiences are at least the same if not better because after reading the posts I probably would never have gone.

Cheapest price brings out the most interesting people. I hate that the parking lot is always full of carts that need to be rounded up. Spend an extra few dollars and go to target. It’s worth the extra money.

Well i was prepared for craziness going into this store. Walmart is always so busy! This was no different. Prices are always great and that is the only reason i go! Shelves seemed to be low on certain produts and many were very messy. The lines were very long so i ended up going through the self checkout lines which was much quicker. The parking lot is huge and they have their own gas station.

Pretty much an average Walmart Superstore. A convenient stop for cheap gas leaving town to go south on I-​75, and to pick up some grocery items returning to Tampa. They used to have a fine selection of whole-​grain bakery breads and rolls, but have not checked lately. Candidly, I do not come expecting a high level of service here in light of the wages, turnover and minimal training/​supervision. But that is the trade-​off to low prices… no personal concierge.

Not the worst Walmart but not the best either. They need to improve on keeping the shelves stocked and the veggies fresh. When this location is good it’s great but when it’s bad it’s bad and I’m seeing more and more bad days than good ones… oh and the check-​out situation is sheer torture. It should never take longer to wait in line than it does to do a whole week’s worth of shopping… I’m just sayin.

The world’s worst Walmart. Go here and weep. If you make it out of here without contracting ringworm, you can call it a successful trip.
Truly, the pinnacle of Gibsonton’s «Worst Town in Florida» designation — a brief note, you can store your elephant in your front yard in Gibsonton — this Walmart is the one hack late-​night comedians make fun of. The carts are all missing pieces, either a wheel, the kid’s seat, or handle. Broken, dead light fixtures. A parking lot full of trash and opportunistic birds to land on your car and scratch up your paint job. Dead-​on-​the-​inside employees who talk about the customer they just rung up. «That lady paid all in nickels! Can you believe that?» YES I CAN THIS IS WALMART. Shirts optional, mouth-​breathing required. And be prepared to find half-​eaten candy in unexpected places, like the insides of shoes in the shoe department. After coming here, wash your hands thoroughly — but definitely not in their bathrooms. Googling «Gibsonton walmart hepatitis» returns 71,500 results.
If you live nearby and this is your only shopping option, you should move.

I make the drive from Brandon because this location’s grocery section is worlds better. More selection, better stock. I’d highly recommend the World Table brand pizza — it’s one of the better frozen pizzas I’ve ever had and it’s a WM brand to boot. Not something I had ever seen in Brandon.

This Walmart is always a mess! It’s always packed too! The nail salon inside Walmart is horrible! I went there once and the nail tech cut up all my cuticles! If its the only Walmart you can go do, it will do, otherwise go to another one!

I have been shopping at this Walmart for months out of convenience because it is very close to my home. However, I will deal with traffic and a bit of a drive to start going elsewhere from now on. Too many issues to remember them all, but I’ll do my best.
Customer service, at this store, the majority of employees don’t have a clue as to what that means. A member of management spent 15 minutes fighting with their ATM so I could get my change from a transaction ($ 2 in change, mind you) and my receipt. She never said a single word to me, not even a simple «I’m sorry». Instead she mumbled to herself about things like «ugh! Who puts old money in an ATM?» When I finally got my stuff, I thanked her, she said nothing and walked away. Typical of this store.
Cleanliness. At this store, that is unheard of. The restrooms are always filthy, the parking lot is full of trash (and subsequently flocks of ravens and seagulls).
Like to just hang out in line and wait forever? If so, this is the store for you. You will wait a long time no matter what time of year or what time of day it is.

I feel like this Walmart could be cleaner. The parking lot is always full of trash. Most of the carts are old and need replaced. It is hard to get help when you looking for something. However, the store is always stocked well and for the most part the staff is friendly.

it’s walmart, and one of the largest walmarts I’ve been to ever. They have walmart prices, and a nice selection of fishing/​crabbing supplies. The lines are always atleast 15min waits, and 9 out of 10 employees are rude.

I’ve had my gripes about this Walmart in the past, but the cool thing about this Walmart is the liquor store there. The lowest prices on beer and soda that I had seen anywhere else and plenty of drinks I like such as pre-​mixed Bacardis as well. The employees weren’t as chill as at other liquor stores, but you can’t beat those low Walmart prices.
