3 attempts at quote request and no response. I guess that means they can’t do the job. Not going to drive there for nothing

I usually go to the dealership for my oil changes, but decided to give this place a try. When I called to make my appointment, I asked the gentleman on the phone how much it would cost me for an oil change. I provided make, model, year and was told it would only cost me $ 56. When I was done with my appointment, they charged me $ 93 out the door. The guy on the phone apparently, did not include the oil filter price in his quote. They also weren’t able to fix an airbag light for me, as they said it is still under warranty and the dealership should take care of it.
Fine…so now I paid an extra $ 23 for an oil change that normally only costs me $ 70 at the dealership and I still have to take my care to the dealership, because they wouldn’t fix my airbag light.

Carlife is the place to go! Very friendly, honest, knowledgable staff. I was prepared to spend some money on new brake pads but was told that they were good and had nothing to worry about! Knowing it was time for new tires, Jeff showed me the balding tires and suggested I looked into replacing them soon. While they were changing my oil, Jeff was able to get me a good deal on some good quality tires and told me they would be in as soon as tomorrow. I will be returning this weekend to get my tires changed out. It is a pleasure doing business with them and will definitely be a regular customer and refer everyone I know!

Always fast, always honest. Even on an oil change they don’t try and up sell unnecessary repairs. And even thought they are full service they recommended other companies for services they might not be able to complete to expectations. A little pricier than some other places but you get what you pay for.

Look no further for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic! They took great care of my BMW and I will definitely be back for regular service on my car. Wonderful customer service from the first phone call. The lobby area is welcoming and clean, and the crew really knows their business with cars. I’m so thankful to Jeff and his team!

Simply amazing! My car was making a bit of noise so I took it to the closest shop near my house. Thankfully I got lucky. The staff at Carlife are super friendly and care about their customers. It really shows.
My engine needed some work and they got working on it straight away. It was going to take a couple days for it to be all fixed, they had to get a part from California. Jeff got me a rental car, they even offered to pick me up.
Jeff called daily to make sure the rental was okay and to update me on my car. He kept me completely in the loop. I have not had any problems with the car since they fixed it, it’s been two months. I’m so happy with they work they did and I would trust them with any car I have in the future.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said?
I have never really had an extensive knowledge about cars, nor have I ever had any serious damage to a car I’ve owned so when I got into a bit of trouble with my car, I went in and talked to the people are Carlife. It was close to my house so I picked it, but for the service I received I would drive as far as I needed to.
They were quick and thorough with me, they physically showed me what was wrong with my car, the mechanic that was looking over my car actually gave me a ride home before he did so and the front desk woman was an absolute delight to talk to .
I felt no pressure at all while I was in there and enjoyed the experience, which is not something you can say often about a body shop. I will refer all of my business to them from this point forward. They were incredible.
Oh and at the end I decided not to do the repairs just yet and they didn’t charge me a dime. Hands down the best experience I’ve had so far.

One of the hardest things you will have to do as a car owner is find a good auto repair facility that you can trust. It was time for me to do just that again. My last repair facility I used, was very good for quit a few years, but things there have not been so great lately, so I searched on «Yelp» for a new place. UGH! So when I finally narrowed it down to Carlife, based on the reviews. I took my car in to the Gilbert location, brakes were not doing so well. After it was inspected, I got the call we all dred, the one that tells you things are worse then you thought. They found items that were in such a bad way, I might have been at risk of steering failing because of bad work done at the place I used to go to. They asked me if I had had work done on this and that recently. I had indeed, They said that things were not done correctly, and now I was in danger when driving my car. I never told them what work I had done, they knew by just looking. They saw the mistakes that were done, and I knew they were right because I was also wondering of the quality of the work the last place did, so Im not surprised, just sad, that the place I had gone for years, was really letting me and my family down. SO… I asked them if they could do all the repairs that same day, it was a Saturday, and he said he would do his best, {They close at 2:00pm on Saturdays} He said he would do all he could to finish, but if not THEY would provide me a rental car at no cost to me. WOW!!! The rental was not needed, they fixed everything on time. I am really happy with the repairs. I paid more then I had paid in the past at the place I used to go, but I realized, you get what you pay for. I am willing to pay a little more for quality work, and quality parts. Its been over a week since my car was repaired and everything is great. This Saturday, I had them do an alignment on my Ford truck, and change the oil. They also looked over it to see if anything else was in need. They told me my front rotors are a little warped, pads were ok, and I will want to get that repaired in the near future, but for now its ok. I like the honesty!!! I like the professional feel about this place. The place is clean, the shop is big, and looks very neat, I like to see that. I know it’s very soon, only been here twice, but I feel like I have found a place that I can trust and feel good about bringing all my cars to. Thanks to everyone at Carlife auto repair of Gilbert! We have all 4 of our family vehicles serviced here. I have peace of mind knowing they will do the work correctly and never tell me I need to replace something if it is not truly needed. I am also referring family and friends to take their vehicles here for good, honest care.

An honest and trustworthy auto repair shop. No seriously… stop laughing, it really is! I had a check engine light and limited performance in my car, I used my code adviser to diagnose the issue and realized that I’d need pro help with this fix. I called several places and most wouldn’t even quote me, they said they have to diagnose it themselves and charge me diag time. HELLO, I ALREADY DID THAT! Anyway Eddie gave me the best quote out of the few places that did give me numbers. I brought my car in and he fixed the issue I diagnosed, while he was in there I had him change my plugs and wires and he also suggested an induction service where he would clean the residue and deposits in my fuel injection system. No hidden costs, all the expenses laid out on the invoice, and no unexpected charges!!!
Eddie and Carlife definately have my business, from here on out I’m bringing all our cars here when we need service, and telling my friends as well!

I have been searching for a car repair place I can trust for a long time. I have found that the dealerships generally do good work, but they rip you off at every possible turn. The last time I took it to a dealer for a broken tailgate they told me I needed new belts and hoses right away. I had just had them all replaced less than a month earlier, so seeing the guy back pedal after I told him was priceless.
I tried Firestone until they forgot to put the lugs on my tire and my wheel fell off right on the street outside their store as I was pulling away.
I went to Big O next. My truck was hard to start, so I took it to them thinking it was either the battery of the alternator. They tested it and said it needed an alternator and replaced it. Then their computer told them it was the battery instead. They said sorry and that they already put the alternator in and couldn’t take it out now and would only charge me $ 300 for the alternator I didn’t need.
That’s when I found Carlife. They had just built a new store near me. I went to Unilocal and read some reviews and they mostly got really good reviews. The one bad review I had noticed got the attention of the owner and he bent over backwards trying to make that customer happy and that impressed me.
I started having troubles with my steering kind of catching every once in a while making it hard to turn and it concerned me, so I took it in to have them take a look. They drove it and the problem didn’t happen for them. It only rarely happened to me, but when it did it was kind of scary. They said maybe it was the tire hitting the wheel well in a certain spot and put some lube there I think. They didn’t charge me anything and sent me on my way and the problem never happened again. That impressed me. Since then they have done some other work such as replace an AC hose and most recently a timing belt.
That leads to the next part. A very short time after having the timing belt replaced I was in central Phoenix and my truck overheated. I limped into the closest auto repair place and they found that the radiator was broken off where the top hose connects. The repair guy said «Did you recently have your truck worked on?» I said yes. He said they broke your radiator. I was bummed. Not only did I have to shell out for a new radiator, but now I have to find a new car repair place because I can’t really go back to Carlife after that can I? I could never prove they did the damage and I am not 100% sure they did it anyway. I can’t just go back and pretend it didn’t happen because it would bother me. I decided to go someplace else next time even though I really liked Carlife because of their closeness to my house, they are clean and very nice and usually do good work for a decent price.
About a year passes and I have a brake light warning on, a broken windshield wiper and tires that needed to be rotated. I still haven’t found another place and decided to bite the bullet and my pride and go back to Carlife anyway because I really need to get my brakes taken care of. I admit I have a little bit of an attitude when I walked in and the receptionist was on the phone and gestured that she would be right with me as soon as she could. I sat down and waited, but I noticed she sounded like she was on a personal call and that bothered me and after a few minutes I decided to walk out.
I went home a little upset and decided to write Carlife and let them know how I was feeling. I didn’t have much luck on their web site and came to Unilocal and saw the link to write a note to Carlife directly. I wrote down a long winden letter to them similar to this one noting my feelings on the matter thinking I was just venting a little and didn’t expect any sort of reply.
Not an hour later the owner of Carlife himself Eddie calls me personally to express his regrets on what has happened and instead of denying his people could be responsible for the radiator breaking he accepts responsibility site unseen and vows to earn my business back. I tell him that I am not looking for money or anything and that I am just looking for a car place I can depend on and trust. He asks if I had gotten my truck fixed yet and I said no and asks me to give his company another chance. Due to his honesty, charm and sincerity I decided to give them another chance. I brought my truck in and they found the problem, a leak and replaced some calipers, put on new brake pads, fixed the broken windshield wiper linkage and rotated the tires. I came back in to pick up my truck and was met by Eddie himself and once again he was very apologetic and sincerely nice. I kind of thought he might give me a good deal on my service that day, but he insisted it was all on the house and didn’t charge me a thing.
Nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes, but at Carlife they really do want to do good by the customer and bend over backwards to make the customer happy. Happy customers return. Kudos to Eddie. He’s an owner that get’s it.

My husband and I have to loyal to this place since they opened. Now the last two times we have dropped it off for a tire rotation, I go to pick it up and it hasn’t been done. My time is too important to me to bring my car here again. Don’t waste your time.

Took truck in for oil change and any repairs for our road trip. They gave me recommendations and told me the differential should be done before trip and other repairs could wait. Was happy not to be oversold on repairs that I did not immediately need. Great honest service. I will be a returning customer.

I’ve now taken my vehicle to this shop 3 times. The first two visits were an oil change and a full fluid flush and the experiences were uneventful — in a good way. Everyone was very helpful and the repairs were great. For the most recent visit my car was having trouble with the brakes and needed an oil change. I dropped it off for repairs and was offered a ride so I didn’t need to wait — huge plus! Later I spoke with Eddie and it turned out the brake problem was a factory recall issue. Eddie offered to drive the car to the dealer and have the repair handled. Can you believe that?! He later informed me the car was complete and he had picked it up from the dealer for me. I picked up the car and the brakes were good as new.
I asked why they were jumping through hoops for me when they weren’t going to be performing the repair and the response was «because we want your business as a long term customer.»
This is incredible service and I will never take my cars anywhere else.
