History

Established in 2008.

I am a cosmetology instructor who still does hair at my studio because I have a passion for what I do. I received my license in 2008 and have specialized in Aveda, Toni & Guy, and Sassoon techniques. I received my instructor license in 2012 and teach my craft full time, but missed doing hair myself. I am now moving to a new location offering my services every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month!

I received my cosmetology license in Florida in 2008. I worked in an Aveda Salon, quickly building a solid clientelle. I moved home to Arizona in 2009 and quickly enrolled back into school to get my instructor license. During this time I got married, had 2 children, worked for Toni & Guy, and got licensed to teach. Once teaching I became a Sassoon Cutting instructor at a school, giving me more growth in my line of work. I currently teach cosmetology full time at a nation wide school, while working behind the chair @JKHair. Working behind the chair, for myself, was a dream finally realized!

I got a partial foil treatment from Jecika and am very happy with how it turned out! I am a natural brunette who loves to be blonde, and after being VERY blonde for a very long time, I decided to be a darker blonde (picture Jennifer Aniston). She did exactly what I asked for and made it look completely natural, much more natural than my hair has looked in a long while. I’ll be back for sure and hopefully one day I will be able to afford those amazing extensions she does!

Words cannot express the amazingness of Jecika. She is a hair extension queen! My biggest concerns with getting extensions was color matching the extensions to my balayage’ hair, as well as them being able to blend naturally with my short hair. Let me tell you, she KILLED it! The colors match PERFECT! After putting in the extensions, she flawlessly cut and blended my extensions with my natural hair, giving me a gorgeous long layered cut. The quality of the extensions is really great, no shedding or matting, I heat style my hair almost everyday and they have held up perfect. Jecika is extremely professional, knowledgeable and extremely talented. I cannot recommend her enough!

If you are seeking out a professional to give you extensions, then do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Jecika at JKHair. She did mine and was very precise and thorough. Plus you can’t beat the pricing she offers! Jecika performed a GK taming system treatment (keratin treatment) on me on 10÷31÷13. It has been 4 months and it is still going strong! Well worth it! I started with very long, frizzy, curly hair. She used the «resistant» level on me. I was expecting it to smell bad or burn my eyes, but it didn’t! It actually had no smell. Jecika was very professional and we had a blast chatting during the process. My hair used to take 30 – 45 minutes to flat iron. It took 5 minutes the first 2 months and now takes 10. I look forward to future treatments with her. This treatment has been life changing!
