Sub Zero Ice Cream doesn’t limit you to 11, 21 or even 31 premade flavors. In fact, you get to make your own personal ice cream recipe. With five different bases, 34 ice cream flavors and 32 types of mixins, you can mix and match whatever you like. We have a variety of flavors and mixins so that your ice cream creation can have all the flavors that you were craving.

We have flavors from Cake Batter, Pistachio, Pumpkin, Mocha, Amaretto, Bubble Gum, and Cheesecake to Strawberry, Banana, Peach, Coconut and Lime, to Chocolate, Caramel, Butterscotch, Vanilla, Marshmallow Cream and Mint. Our mixins include Heath Bar, Almond Joy, Butterfinger, Reeses Pieces, Snickers, White Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Chips, Raisins, and more! We also have Ice Cream Sandwiches, Crepes, Pies, Smoothies, Shakes and Steamers.

Sub Zero Ice Cream doesn’t come out a machine or out of a box — we make it right there in front of you using the science of CRYOGENICS. It’s fun to watch as we mix your batch of ice cream in a bowl and then blast it with a shot of liquid nitrogen. Liquid nitrogen is 321 degrees below zero. When that blast of super cold hits your ingredients, a huge cloud explodes from the mixing bowl and moments later your ice cream is frozen into the creamiest, smoothest ice cream ever.

This is the best, freshest ice cream you can get! They are so friendly, and are really patient in explaining how to pick the flavors you want. I accidentally dropped my ice cream on the floor right after I bought it, and they said, «Don’t worry, we’ll make you another one!» It did a lot to help ease my embarrassment.
Also, I came on the first Thursday of the month, and every first Thursday they have a science show! It was really fun to watch as they teach you about liquid nitrogen and freeze a bunch of things! I’d recommend bringing the whole family!!!

Just had my first subzero experience. While the experience was different/​mildly entertaining, the ice cream was beyond horrific. This was the first time in my 33 years of life that I actually threw out ice cream (I’ll even endulge in months old freezer burned ice cream at home). The icing on the cake was the $ 6.06 it cost to have a SMALL creation, some peanut butter combo they have on the menu. I literally ran upstairs once home to brush my teeth and get rid of the horrible flavor once and for all. Worst $ 6 ever spent and worst ice cream I’ve EVER had.

Our company hired SubZero to cater the employee appreciation party, it couldn’t have gone any smoother! The ice cream was delicious and the flavor combinations were endless. Loved that it was freshly frozen for each person and entertaining too. We will definitely use them again for our next company meeting or party.

Subzero was so yummy! Their waffle maker was broken at the time, this the four stars. But in all the workers were very considerate and funny! Although it was around thanksgiving time, they were still having lots of fun and joking. I would recommend this location!

I absolutely love this place! I’ve taken almost every single family member here with me! Before I begin telling you how awesome this place is, I just want to let you know they have Stamp cards here! Okay, now that I got that out of my system this place basically let’s you make up any flavor of ice cream or custard you want and to top that off almost any combo of toppings as well! I’m sure you’re thinking well duh most ice cream places are like that, well this one starts at liquid form and by the end of it, liquid nitrogen makes it into a solid right before your eyes! It’s super cool to watch, esp if they freeze gummy bears with it as well, in front of you and watch it shatter to a hundred little pieces, then stick it in your mouth to eat it and it turns all gummy again! Yes, I’m like a small child at this place. they also have a science like day every first Friday I believe for children, to show them what else liquid nitrogen can do! Anyways, love this place, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I will continue to come here as long as I’m alive lol.
Ps if you don’t finish your ice cream and it’s all melted, but you love it so much that you still want to take it home, they can refreeze it for you! Or if you hate your ice cream concoction, they’ll remake you one at no charge!

Very cool concept, no pun intended, this was only my 2nd time here… I am a big ice cream lover but, this isn’t grabbing my ice cream lovers heart in me. I enjoyed hearing a big gentleman that was working there the 1st time I went there described what he was doing as he prepared my order but, he wasn’t there the 2nd time and honestly, I can’t say there will be a 3rd time… sorry. It’s expensive and not very good. The «big guy» at least made it worth the price of the ice cream due to his awesome personality but, without him it wasn’t worth the price. I miss the good old ice cream days of the 80“s (i.e., Swensens, 31 flavors & Farrells) where you didn’t need a great personality to sell the ice cream… the ice cream was so good it sold itself.

Every time I remember to review this place, I can’t take a picture because I have already eaten my ice cream.
It is awesome and delicious. The staff there is friendly and helpful, and I have yet to have a bad experience.
The manager is very involved and can usually be seen up front helping employees and cleaning the store.
Highly recommend. And I have yet to try a different ice cream because I am addicted to The Cinnamon Role Reaction.
I would show you a pic, but I ate my ice cream already. Totally worth the drive.

The first ice cream shop that I witnessed using liquid nitrogen was Smitten in San Francisco. It’s artisanal using fresh sourced ingredients. So of course I was very smitten with Smitten.
When I discovered SubZero, I was excited to try their liquid nitrogen technique and also because they have been on Shark Tank! As we entered, we were greeted cheerfully by two servers. One of them proceeded to show us a very enthusiastic demo going step by step through the process. I was very impressed with her animated narration and educational tutorial complete with demonstration of the liquid nitrogen.
I ordered a base cream with blackberry cheesecake. It was fascinating to watch the whole process. Basically it’s cream, flavoring and toppings combined in a bowl then you tell them how hard you want the ice cream. The longer you freeze with the liquid nitrogen, the denser it becomes.
I was quite pleased with the result and found it to be very yummy. It’s not artisanal like Smitten, but it was definitely fun to watch the demonstration and to see the whole process of my icy creation!

Triple digit heat in arizona becoming unbearable? Sub Zero ice cream is the place to be, with very knowledgeable and friendly staff they make your visit both memorable an awesome experience. They literally use Liquid Nitrogen to turn your «cream» of choice into actual fresh ice cream before your eyes! I will definitely be back with my daughter next time.

This place is cool once in a while maybe to impress someone but I wouldn’t come here on the regular for cheap reliable ice cream. They didn’t take a very old Amazon local for full price though! They have vegan (almond milk base) ice cream and lactose sensitive as well as custard, yogurt and their original ice cream base.

I suggest getting gummy bears after they make the ice cream they become to hard before hand. Besides that the ice cream is great. They were also on shark tank!

Enjoyed the experience!!! The cloud of liquid nitrogen was very cool and I liked the whole idea of choosing your own fat and sugar content. The service staff was great, very helpful and patient. The only bad part was the price– a bit high, but then again I think you are paying more for the experience than the actual ice cream. Better than most ice cream parlors and we will be back to try more of their unique flavors but the price almost makes it not worth it

Stopped by Sub Zero while in AZ — it was hot I needed ice cream. I had no idea what this place was but it was really fun. The two guys behind the counter were having a lot of fun telling us about the flavors and how it all works. Very sweet guys, wish I had gotten their names for my review. Sooooo many varieties to chose from and very fun to watch!

We decided to have SubZero at a backyard party we were hosting for about 90 people. SubZero was awesome! Such a fun idea, and a very nice group of people.
They showed up on time, served a ton of delicious and creative ice cream (so many cool options!), and brought smiles to a lot of our friends. It’s so neat to watch them make the ice cream. Highly recommend hiring them. They were also excellent e-​mail communicators in the weeks leading up to the party. Thank you!

My kids love this place! Novelty that they freeze the ice cream fresh right before your eyes. They love that they can pick their own flavor of ice cream and of course all the choices of toppings, of which they say they have 50. Staff is super friendly, place is clean and seating indoors and out. The price is slightly higher than I like to pay ($ 6.50 for a medium with 2 toppings, lucky had $ 1 off Unilocal coupon) for a treat but once in a while it’s OK to splurge.

This place has a really unique idea with the way they make their icecream/​frozen yogurt. I really enjoyed all of the options they had. The girl who made our ice cream explained everything well and the ice cream came out great. I love all their options and the employee favorites board had some great ideas for combinations. I already have a few different ideas for next time. I’m not sure about other reviews mentioning that the place was dirty or service not great as our experience was completely opposite. I would say that the texture of the ice cream is different but I enjoyed it. I’m sure this has more to do with the freezing process then anything else. It’s definitely worth a stop by.

What a great place! The ice cream is always delicious and it’s cool to watch them make it. It’s a great place for kids too with the great cartoon movies they always have playing and because again, it’s really cool to watch them make it.
Definitely a great place for a family dessert run.
