Went to The Edge Salon on a whim. I haven’t gotten my hair done professionally in three years and was nervous. I showed Jose the pic of how I wanted my hair. And it turned out better than I could’ve expected!!! Jose did an amazing job and was so nice. I trusted him with my hair and it turned out great everyone loves it. Me too!!!

Gave this place another shot, and Jose did not let me down. Happy to finally have a place right by the house. Please don’t leave Jose!

Just got my hair done by Jose. I love it. He had to correct another stylists mistake. Always nerve-​wracking trying out a new stylist but no need to worry. I will definitely be back.

I love the cut and color Brandon did for my hair! After being on bedrest & having a complicated pregnancy I was feeling very frumpy and in need of change after having my baby a few weeks ago. Brandon did exactly what I wanted and I love the result. I’ve already recommended the salon to several friends!

Rick is amazing. I searched for a long time for the perfect salon and found it here. He always hears what I am asking for even when I am not sure. Great skills. Can’t recommend him and the salon enough.

I want to start by saying the Jose is the first stylist I have ever gone to more than once, like in my entire life. I loooove that he helps me decide the direction I want to go from the Pinterest collection I bring and makes suggestions to make it even more fun and amazingly less maintenance. He helps me pick a color and style that won’t make me run back for touch ups every 3 weeks.
He is easy to talk to and gets so excited about the end result.

Legit haircut!
I found them on Unilocal.I was in desperate need of a 180 degree haircut.
I’m way to afraid to go into any Supercuts. I always look for someone young to cut my hair. I got Kelly. Bubbly little red head that was friendly and talkative. Made me feel comfortable and listened to every detail I wanted done to my hair, and I appreciate that. I went in not knowing what I was going to pay and was pleasantly surprised it was only $ 25. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Chenda and Brooke wrangled seven of us for hair and makeup for my wedding. The experience couldn’t have been better. Both ladies were professional, talented and fun. Most importantly, we all felt beautiful when they were done. I would highly recommend Chenda to anyone. It was nice to not have to stress about that part of my wedding!

This is the most amazing business I have ever visited. The entire staff treats you like you are family, recommendations on style and tips are perfect. If you live near Gilbert and haven’t visited you just don’t know what you are missing and if you are visiting from out of town definitely schedule an appointment when you’re here. One of the biggest issues I have ever had with a salon is those fake smiles and «uh huh» service. Thankfully you will find none of that here.
We will continue our visits until they retire. Hopefully not for many years.

First time here and Brandon absolutely killed it! My son had never had a salon haircut before and told me he wants to come back to this salon every time he needs a trim!!!

Can’t say enough great things about Rick… I have been shaving my head for over 20+ years and decided to grow it out. Rick has been extremely patient and helpful with this endeavor.
Not only has he provided me excellent hair cuts to keep it clean around the edges while it was growing, but as it gained length, he continue to provide input and guidance on how to style it, product selection and how to use, etc… He has definitely gained my approval!!!

After searching reviews on Unilocal for a new hair place I found The Edge and since many reviews mentioned and recommended Jose I booked an appointment with him and he did not disappoint. He was friendly, worked hard to make sure I was happy with all aspects of my cut and color and his personality was awesome!!! He was so very funny! The salon itself is clean and well maintained. I will definitely return to The Edge and most certainly return to Jose!

After receiving a really horrible haircut from another place I came into this salon based on the reviews. I was clearly upset that my hair was at different lengths and shaped like a bell. From the receptionist to all the stylist they made me feel at ease.
They were able to accommodate my no appointment cut very quickly. Jose immediately had ideas to clean it up and make it right. He did an amazing job, I am very happy with my cut and will be back to see him.

I am so happy with the highlights I received from Riley at Edge Salon. Not only is she very sweet and personable, but she verbally «walked me» through her plans for my hair to match my vision and request.
She is so quick too! I was expecting a three hour highlight that I have received before that is rather exhausting for both artist and client. Nope! She is fast-​pace and doesn’t sacrifice the quality of her work.
I booked two future appointments with her because I was so impressed.

Megan always makes my blonde highlights look great and she is so funny and friendly. The other staff is also really nice and seem to enjoy working there.

This place is adorable! Everyone is very friendly here as well. I came in for a haircut with Jose who is an absolute professional and very knowledgeable… and hilarious! I told him what I wanted and he delivered. I can’t wait to come back for cut and color for summer time !

I booked my wedding party and bridal make up and hair almost last minute and was assisted by Randy via phone and email. He was very pleasant and funny actually and made me feel less anxious about having to change MUA and Hair less than a month before my wedding. I then met with Chenda who is a wizard at makeup and hair and was ecstatic with how she took my hair idea and turned it into something amazing. The makeup– flawless.
On the day of my wedding, Chenda was right on time and ready to work and did my bridesmaid’s hair, my flower girl’s hair and my mom’s hair and makeup. They looked lovely! Then it was my turn and my hair and makeup was even better than the trial. My hair stayed in place all night and my makeup again was flawless even by the end of the night (after ugly crying during the father-​daughter dance). I am STILL getting compliments on my hair and makeup and would never hesitate Chenda and The Edge Salon for the awesome work! Thank you!!!

Best experience I’ve ever had in a salon! I was looking for a last minute appointment and Randy was able to fit me in as the last appointment for the day. When I walked in, Randy gave me a warm welcome and greeted me by name. Jose was my stylist– he is the first stylist I’ve ever had actually give me the cut that I wanted. He had great attention to detail and made sure that I was comfortable during the entire process, always asking for feedback and adjusting if needed. With the care and attention he gave to me, I thought for sure it had been more than an hour– but I was in and out in 45 minutes. I had a great time and felt at home at The Edge. I highly recommend this salon; be sure to ask for Jose!

Great atmosphere! Everyone always polite and professional. I have been having Jose, and him alone, do my hair for the last year since my wedding. He’s attentive to detail and discusses every step with you before he does it to make sure you’re utterly happy with it. He’s has suggestions if you ask but never pressures his clients. Jose and The Edge are wonderful!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. Owner Rick is VERY shady, rude and unprofessional. I dropped my daughter off here again, to have a highlight done AFTER he said he couldn’t do it yesterday for her first appt. due to «time». He then waited until we drove all the way from STV to tell her «You do realize I will cost you OVER $ 400?» After she started crying (because she had been dropped off there AND had him reschedule her from Saturday to Sunday, he simply smirked and said «Have a nice day». Totally no wonder to see this place was empty. Cannot believe he is the owner. If your price goes from $ 100 to $ 400 overnight, you need to shut down. And yes, he saw her hair Saturday first. So there was no question as to what to expect. Tread lightly… this place is a joke and there are WAY too many salons around to choose from. Not to mention that you run the risk of losing your hard earned money.

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!
About a week ago, I decided I needed mermaid hair and got tape-​in extensions from Dolce. Kind of a giant mistake. They were poorly done and the glue was snagging and pulling on hairs around the wefts, which felt like constant, tiny pin pricks all over my head. A week of that (and lack of sleep because of it) makes you feel like you’ve lost your marbles.
SO…I called Dolce to get them taken out, and they were hesitant to do so. They assured me that this was normal pain and said they didn’t want me to waste the money I had paid for them. I was pretty sure it wasn’t normal to feel like hairs were being pulled out of my head, so I called The Edge and asked for help.
What started as a consult turned into basically the entire staff working their butts off to get my head full of shoddy tape-​ins removed. It took the better part of everyone’s afternoon, but their work paid off. My hair looks and feels SO. MUCH. BETTER.
I’m glad to be back at The Edge and I won’t be straying again :)

Just moved to Arizona and the Gilbert area and decided to try The Edge Salon based on reviews I read online. Shop is adorable, staff was great. Chenda was my stylist and she was terrific. Very sweet and personable and of course very attentive on what I wanted to achieve with my cut/​color. I will definitely become a regular there!

I came to this salon after having my hair butchered somewhere else. They were able to fix the cut, and I have been a happy customer here ever since.
I like that I am almost always able to get a walk-​in appointment. I have an irregular schedule, so it is nice for me to be able to get my hair cut whenever I have the time.
The front desk and the salon staff are very friendly and efficient. I have always had a great experience.

Rylee was awesome. I did a lot of searching and reading reviews before deciding on The Edge Salon. Rylee did a great job on my cut and color and I will definitely be back.

I recently relocated from Las Vegas and was in desperate need to find a stylist. I had read many great reviews on the Edge Salon right here on Unilocal and decided to walk in and book an appointment. Randy at the front is a breath of fresh air, makes you feel at ease and very welcome. Love his vibe and positivity. I made an appointment with Chenda who doesn’t disappoint. She listened to my needs, understood the type of hair I have and gave me a great, workable cut. Not to mention the color is phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend this salon and Chenda… she is awesome!

I went to the salon last week for the first time. The salon is very clean and organized. I’m OCD so it’s mandatory in my book. I was even more impresses when my stylist opened her cupboard door and everything was in covered containers. My stylist was Nikki and she holds a magicians wand… what a transformation. I had her color and cut my hair and I was elated with the look. I left smiling.

I went in to get my hair fixed after a bad cut from another salon and Rylee was AMAZING! She listened to everything I said and gave me exactly what I wanted. She fixed the cut and the color and my hair feels so soft and healthy (and I’ve been bleaching my hair for the last three years!). I have never been more satisfied walking out of a salon!

My cousin has been going to see Rick for years, and now at his place The Edge Salon. So just having moved here, I take her recommend and now had my 3^rd cut by Rick.
My hair is THICK and COURSE, full, unruly curly that I blow dry «straight» which is a joke because it’s only straight for about an hour. I needed someone GREAT with scissors to cut through that mess and help me grow my mane long and luscious. My hair had potential, but I needed Edward Scisssorhands to handle my scandal!
I just LOVE how my hair is growing out. His cuts are perfection. He knows how to cut it so I don’t need the traditional ‘thinning”. My hair lays great, all the layers are sexy and perfect. I just love his style and scissors!
And BONUS — the guy who mans the front desk is SO NICE! The young guy who is assisting Rick took my water temp instructs to heart and gave me exactly the temp I needed for a relaxing wash. The entire staff are very nice. It’s low key and relaxing to get whatever you need done.
Total recommend!

love, love, love this place! they are so friendly and I can’t say enough good things about RYLEE. I just moved to arizona this year and haven’t had much luck finding a stylist. I’m a little spoiled, I have had the same stylist for the past 20 years and was used to that person knowing exactly how I like my hair. RYLEE really listened to what I like and don’t like and when she was done, I had exactly what I wanted and had to hug her! I have finally found my new stylist!
I would highly recommend this salon. Randy is genius at assessing your needs and setting you up with the right person!

They took me in and transformed me into a butterfly. haha
Although one may argue their services are pricey i was able to achieve the color I wanted in 1 visit. And did not need a touch up for many months after.
Love love love all the stylists I’ve encountered with here and would recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a great place to hair their hair cut and colored! I love this place.

Awesome service. I called to see if they had any openings, they were able to get me in within an hour of my phone call. Megan colored and styled my hair, she did an excellent job with balayage. I’m very pleased with how it came out. Megan was very personable and we had great conversation throughout the appointment. I will definitely be coming back to Megan for my next hair cut as well!

I got my haircut here a couple months ago, and I just get so frustrated to this day when I am doing it. My hair was botched here. All my friends make fun of it. Not sure what happened, it’s like half way through my stylist messed up and kept going with it. I knew the constant reassurance that it would look better once it grew out was alarming. I would give it 1 star, but they have great customer service and their staff is friendly. Will not return.

As i’m sure most woman can relate, finding a great hairstylist is as hard as finding a good Gynecologist.
I lucked out with choosing Edge. I horribly damaged my hair with a bleach job, and haven’t had a proper cut in a few years. I was in need of some serious change. I considered a few salons based on their reviews, and chose Edge because it was close to my work.
If you want someone super adorable, fun and experienced, go with Brianne. I’m sure all the stylist are great but I really enjoyed having Brianne as my stylist. She did a great job at executing what I wanted, and even gave me a suggestion on a place to get hair extensions if I wanted. I appreciated that. The time went by super fast because of good conversation. She will definitely be my go to from now on!
Place is cute and quaint in San Tan Village, it’s located right across from Chipotle next to Starbucks.

I did my research online because I am very particular about my hair stylist, and after reading reviews on Unilocal,Google, and Facebook, I chose to have my haircut at The Edge by the owner, Rick, who alleges 15+ years of experience. I figured having the owner cut my hair would leave me with a fresh, perfect cut, but my mistake was assuming that the owner of the salon knew what he was doing.
Rick was polite, of course, but his hair technique (where he used texturizing scissors on the crown of my fine long hair after I repeatedly told him not to) left my layers incredibly uneven on one side. Whenever I straightened my hair, the right side had uneven pieces that were cut straight across, like an upside-​down bar graph.
Halfway through my haircut, Rick had another appointment and asked another stylist to finish blowdrying and styling my hair. For him, it meant less work and more paying clients; for me, it meant having to tip for a single hair service twice. I wasn’t going to leave the salon without tipping the poor hairstylist who was miserably blowdrying my hair.
I recently went to Hair Do salon and had the most fantastic experience. My wonderful hairstylist was shocked to see how uneven my hair had grown out in just three months and how heavy he had left the bottom. The results of a haphazard, hurried haircut.
The Edge Salon might have some other great stylists, but the owner is not one of them. First and last time I visit this place.
