I’ve been buying from Modelbahn Ott for years online, though I’ve never been to the store in person. Great selection, decent prices and excellent customer service. I will be a customer of theirs for years to come.

I’ve been shopping at Modellbahn Ott for years, easily 15+ years. The shop used to be located on Philadelphia avenue, but has moved to its Grosser road location. The new location is much bigger and is a much better spot, as it is visible from Route 100!
My only gripes are aesthetics… The parking lot can be quite difficult to navigate with all the potholes, but this is hardly the store owners fault, and is more the issue for the Landlord. Also, the building is quite drafty in the winter and sweltering in the summer. There’s also visible water damage to the ceiling where it has collected. Again, an issue for the landlord, and should be checked on regularly, to make sure the building is safe and maintained.
Now, on to the great parts about the store:
I like the wide selection of model trains, cars, and military vehicles. I also like the large variety of Hobby supplies that the store carries. From plastic tubing to glue and Xacto knives, the store is very well stocked. If you need help looking for something or need to order something in, talk to Bill, the owner, or Brian, the owners son. Both are very knowledgeable and can be quite funny.
The slot car track inside the shop along with the Pinewood derby track gets some use out of it, and during the nicer weather you can use the RC car track out behind the store.
I’m a tabletop gamer as well, so the wide selection of Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000, Warmachine, Hordes, and Star Wars X-​Wing is fantastic. The store also boasts several gaming tables for in-​store play. A local group has been gaming on Tuesday evenings and Saturday Mornings/​Afternoons.
I’m glad this store has been doing well. I hope to frequent this shop for many years to come.

I shop the Modellbahn Ott maybe every few weeks or so. I usually need supplies or a new model set. Really nice R/​C track outside. It’s better when the weather is nicer. Inside is an electric race track. Not sure what the rates are but it looks fun. Open gaming tables for table top war games on the right side of the store. Model trains and other kits and sets to the left.
This other guy sounded like a jerk so I felt I should post something. That guy probably sucks at life. Maybe your kid shouldn’t shout in a store. Teach the little monster to talk like a normal human being and also to urinate before you waltz into a place to use the facilities when you aren’t buying anything. Also how could his comment be recommended when he’s only had 1 other review? Kind of suspect to me.

This place has been around for a long time, first on rt 73 now on Grosser Rd. I have gone there many times over the year because they are the closest hobby shop around that has nitro powered R/​C parts. I have given up. I will not be patronizing them anymore. The owner is a rude person. I brought my 3 yr old son in the shop and they would not even offer to show me where the bathroom was when he was screaming he had to urinate. I was standing in front of the counter for 5 minutes and they proceeded to ignore that I was even there. My family were the only people in the building. It would be one thing if this was the first time they treated me or someone else poorly, but everyone who I know avoids them because of the attitude they have.
