The owner Larry is a great guy. I needed a small job done, just taking a few links off of a new watch I got. I had never been in here before, but I work very close and was recommended by a friend. The shop is small and quaint, with a great selection of bands, watches and clocks. He dropped whatever he was doing and immediately started working on my watch. He cracked a couple of jokes with me while he was working which made the experience a little more personable. His price was reasonable and in the end, we shook hands. A true gentleman! I would definitely recommend for any watch repairs.

I wish I could give less than one star — We brought in a lovely curved glass clock that the movement wasn’t working well. We were told that it may take a week to fix it.
After two weeks of silence I called and was told that he has not had time to look at it yet.
Three days later he called and said (and I quote):” I came in this morning and the clock was on the floor, broken“
I came in to take a look and was shocked to see 35 pieces of glass and absolutely no apology or remorse whatsoever.
If that wasn’t enough — I was flabbergasted when he said: «Since the clocks are the owners responsibility even when they are at the store for repair — I will not compensate you ($ 200.00 clock)»
I have not decided if he is a simple thief, a con man or a corrupt store-​owner, but in any event — stay away from this place if you treasure your belonging — they will not last long under the (lack of) care of this immoral person.

I’ve always worn a watch ever since I was little so I have this habit of looking at my wrist for the time very often. My current watch broke and everytime I looked at my wrist for the time, I get discouraged because my watch had stopped working. I then decided to get the battery replaced but I didn’t know of any good places that replaces watch batteries. So I looked here on Unilocal and found this place with great reviews. I came in and asked to get my battery replaced and he said «I can fix that». I was in and out within a minute. Its very reassuring that the gentleman or owner is really good at what he does. He specializes in clocks and clock repairs. I was impressed and he was very focused and professional. I will definitely come here again if I need any of my watches repaired or anything. Wonderful service. Very happy I have my watch working again.

My husband and I were looking for a good watch repair shop because he is extremely hard on his watches. I gave him an automatic movement watch that never needs winding, but he always manages to do something to it, like break the crystal or have the hands come off. We tried a local watch repair shop in Watsonville, but I wasn’t all that impressed. We tried a place in Salinas, but that didn’t impress me either. Finally, we decided to try a place in Gilroy. We called up places that supposedly repaired watches, but all they did was replace batteries. One place recommended a shop on Monterey and 5^th. (It was actually on Monterey near Lewis.)
So since we were headed to Gilroy anyway, we drove to the intersection, parked, then walked around to look for the watch repair shop. We finally walked into Clocks & Collectibles, a store filled with clocks of all kinds, grandfather clocks, wall clocks, mantle clocks, etc. and all kinds of watches. We asked the man sitting behind the counter if he did repairs. He said yes. We had three watches: my watch (battery replacement), my husband’s automatic movement watch (hands needed to be reattached), and his second watch (battery replacement). Well, the man who repaired our watches noticed that my watch had the wrong battery in it, which explains why the battery died after a year. (I think the first time I replaced it in Watsonville, the jewelry store replaced the wrong battery, and the others just put in the same battery since they all lasted only a year since I moved up to the Watsonville area.) He also noticed the hands weren’t lined up properly, so he fixed it for me.
After replacing the battery in my husband’s watch, he tried to set the time, but he pulled the crown completely out. My husband had neglected to tell him about the loose crown. So he fixed that, too. When he repaired the automatic movement watch, he noticed that the o-​ring gasket around the watch had ripped, so he repaired that, too. Then he repaired the hands. Mind you, we never said anything other than just fixing the the hands on the automatic watch and replacing the batteries on the other watches. He noticed all these things without us telling him. He is indeed an expert on clocks and watches.
Hopefully, my husband will be able to keep from breaking something else for a while, but I think we found the repair shop for our needs. We will definitely return for future repairs. Oh, and the bill for all those repairs? The three watches with repairs and two batteries cost $ 35 total.
Obviously, this place rocks because while we were waiting for our watches to be fixed, a customer from Salinas called to make sure that he was open so that he didn’t have to make the drive from Salinas to Gilroy for nothing. Considering that there are closer places than this particular store, it gives you a good idea of how good a repairman he is. Five stars for this place all the way!

Brought in a family heirloom pocket watch, nothing fancy, more sentiment than value; the watch had not worked in DECADES! Fixed it in a week.
