Complete My Ride

I wanted to like this guy, because he took me in when I had a problem on a road trip on the 4^th of July. But he charged me for parts and labor on a new set of 8 lifters, but only replaced two of them, priming my car for serious problems. Add to that a stripped engine bolt that he just left in there with no comment, absurd delays that had me waiting until 11 PM, and grease stains all over the interior and I would give Craig negative stars if I could.
Thank God I got it back to my regular mechanic, who saved my car and exposed his lies. I’ll try and post a picture of the mismatched lifters.

Don’t go to these guys. You are better off throwing your money in a bucket and lighting it on fire. First went in for exhaust work, no problems. Went back to get more work done and the owner and one of his employees are arguing. The employee comes out of the office, ask him if there is a problem. He starts bad mouthing is boss. Goes back into the office and argues some, then returns to me and says they don’t want to work on my car, no reason, no explanation. IDIOTS!!!

This is the worst place I’ve ever encountered. The shady things you hear about mechanics on the news is exactly what this greg and this BS place are all about. I took my GF’s car in cuz the door wouldn’t open from a problem with the locking mechanism. The owner of the shop at 11am immediately starts to remove the door panel. In my head im thinking great he sees an easy fix and it gonna get done and my girl won’t have to get in from the passenger side any longer. 15 mins later he gives me what seems to be a real reason why it’s broken and that he can fix it in one hour for $ 205. I walk across the street and eat. When I get back there’s someone else banging on the inside doing what looks to be something he knows nothing about. The owner is nowhere to be found. This other guy all cracked out on speed and crater faced tells me it’s going to take a lot longer and he offers me a ride home. This is when I got a clear clue that greg the owner and this guy were doing some speed. 3 hours later I come back and they tell me 2 more hours. Around 5:30pm greg the owner tells me he needs it over night cuz another part that he never mentioned is needed. Another misdiagnosis. I agree. Now a one hour easy fix that he said has taken all day and now over night. I had to wake up at 7am to take my irritated girl to work. They told me noon. At 9am i go to the shop. The Hispanic speed head that gave me s ride home is bugging the owners truck outside. He tells me they are waiting for the part to arrive that’s why he’s there alone to wait. At noon I come back and owners truck is gone and now I’m told that he had to drive to San Jose to get the part. The run around continues. He doesn’t answer my calls or return my voice mails. I go back at 3:30pm still no owner. I call him saying just put the door panel back on, I’m not paying for anything I just want my car back. He calls at 5pm saying come get it it’s fixed. I test to lock and the handle that he replaced and it works. He then charges me $ 274 saying other things happened and that it needed to be done. The door knob that pops up n down is missing and he says to bring it back next week and he’ll fix it. I’m so pissed I leave. My girl gets the car and there’s grease all over the door panel, steering wheel and middle console. The window rolls down and shakes and is getting scratched and makes a noise right on the middle where they worked on the door handle. The door unlocks but will get stuck like before 1 in 10 times. An easy one hour fix turned into a two day nightmare. I am now going to go somewhere else to get this fixed at any price cuz I fear if I go back not only will he try to strong arm me or send his crack heads after me, that more damage then good will happen. If this place can’t even fix a door how can they fix anything else properly. I’m truly furious. Fuck this place!

Do not do business here. You are wasting your time and your money. I’m a gilroy local and believe in supporting businesses in my town. Naturally, choosing this exhaust shop seemed an easy choice.
Terrible mistake.
I needed an 18″ section in straight pipe flanged and reinstalled in my silverado. It was a factory piece that was even flattened on one side (think Legos, the part can only be installed in one direction)
When I picked up the truck, looked ok, welds were a little scattered, but I overlooked this at the moment.
After about 300 miles, the truck had a bad exhaust leak! Upon inspection, I realized several things were wrong:
–flanges were 2″ inner diameter (my pipes are 3″!
–bolts too short, no washers or lock washers, and also used nylon lock nuts, which melted immediately.
–the «leggo» piece of pipe was also welded in upside-​down… WTF!!!
I ended up taking the truck to a PROFESSIONAL in Morgan Hill, South County Muffler, which I should have done in the first place. Truck is flawless now.
It gets worse. I took the mangled piece of s#it pipe back to Complete My Ride, and asked for a refund. The welder that did it was embarrassed and told me the owner wasn’t there (the owner was standing right behind him, he’s lying to me).
After several days of trying to speak to someone who cared at all, I finally spoke to the owner who agreed to cut me a check for the poor work. I was really happy about this and felt good about the whole thing.
But upon depositing the check in my account ($ 120) it wasn’t long before the check bounced and I was charged an additional $ 20! So now I’m in $ 140 + the cost of having it fixed elsewhere.
Tried contacting the owner several times in person and via phone/​messages. NOTHING, NO REPLY.
So at this point, it’s a total loss. Learn for my mistakes, DO NOT LET THESE GUYS TOUCH YOUR VEHICLES!
Lastly, THANX FOR NOTHING complete my ride! I’d give negative stars if I could.

I didn’t have a great experience with these guys. I was traveling through and having serious steering issues after a hard stop. These guys rushed their diagnosis and replaced my upper and lower ball joints on one side. That didn’t fix it and they finally figured out that it was a bolt that holds the control arm (and holds the alignment of the wheel) popped loose and just needed to be tightened down again.
I ended up spending more than I needed to get the problem fixed because they didn’t take the time to fully investigate the problem. In addition, they were in such a rush to get me out they didn’t put my hubcap on properly so I am missing one now.
They told me that Wheel Works next store was going to ream me on price and that they would do it cheaper. I bought it. Don’t let these guys take advantage of you!

These guys are amazing! Last summer we were driving our RV through Gilroy and had a problem with our exhaust when we pulled into their driveway. They fit us in and got us up and running so we could continue our vacation. Today we went back to them, even though they were a 45 min drive away. Same great service one year later!!! They are professional and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!
