Melanie made such a hard process a whole lot easier. She took care of all the details and was very kind to accommodate my requests. It takes a special person to be in this line of business and she does it all with a BIG heart.

This review is long overdue but only because it’s been hard to find the words. If only I could put into words how she touched our hearts.
Knowing the time was near I found Forever My Pet through Unilocal.After a bad experience with the owner of another cremation service (not in this area) years ago who lacked compassion (wrong business to be in, dude), I didn’t want a repeat of that experience.
After so many reassuring reviews I knew we would be in good hands with Melanie.
We wanted the best for our baby and we found it with Melanie and her team. The services, the shoulder to cry on and the comfort she provides is priceless.
Melanie, you are a Godsend and are providing a much-​needed service to families in their time of need and lovingly caring for their fur-​babies bodies after their spirits have moved on to the rainbow’s bridge.

Melanie is a really special human being! I am so sorry it took me so long to sit and write this review… But, the experience i had here left an impression in my heart and i just had to complete my review. Melanie took my calls on a Saturday morning… She arranged to meet me at her office within an hour, while i was distraught and heart-​broken. She greeted me with so much warmth and empathy for my loss. She charged me such a nominal fee — and yet she had to interrupt her weekend to be there for me… She is incredible. If you experience the loss of a pet, you know they are a huge part of your heart… melanie will treat them with the beautiful dignity they deserve. i can’t thank them enough…

When our beautiful German shepherd dog Zambala died, we needed the best for him. From the phone conversations to the welcome upon our arrival with the body, from the explanation of the process to the coming back for the ashes, all was flawless, kind, human and very professional. Thank you Melanie!

My kitty is in good hands. I remembered Forever my pet because of the peaceful at ease feeling I experience 3 years ago when my 13 years old happy cat needed professional, honorable, cremation services. This time it was for my 2 week old kitten I found abandoned with a bitten off missing tail, infection, who was on antibiotics but it was still too much for this little body. Everything went smoothly again with ease. I searched high and low online the 1^st time & didn’t need to waste my time the second time. Highly recommended.

Melanie was wonderful to work with in our time of loss. Everything went so smooth, our Amy passed in her sleep early Tuesday morning, we called Melanie and within a few hours she came to our house to pick up our little girl with much compassion to our departed family member. We highly recommend their services.

Melonie was so helpful and made this process so easy i couldn’t believe it, the plaque looked so good and so did the box for the ashes. Melonie was able to accomodate my needs since i was coming from sacramento, and that meant a lot to me. She asked what was best for me and made it happen, so grateful, thank you Melonie.

Forever My Pet is an amazing service. I was out of town when our beloved dog passed away at home with my wife. Melanie came over to our house within a couple hours to pick up our dog. They were very helpful and compassionate. I don’t know what we would have done without them.

Our little Dolly passed away in the early hours of Monday April 22^nd, after a long battle with cancer. We were and still are, devastated. It had been a long and terrible night and we suddenly thought we were going to have to euthanize her, however she passed on her own terms.
I had only just begun to look for services, and luckily found Forever My Pet as they were local. My wife called around 7:30, and by 8:00am Melanie returned our call, saying she’d be at our home by 9:30 — 9:45.
At 9:30 she arrived, and was very empathetic. She even offered to come back as we were so distraught at seeing Dolly leave. But it was time. She lifted and carried Dolly as we would if she were still with us, and carefully placed her to leave.
On Wednesday we went to pick out an urn, and found that Melanie had expedited the cremation so we could take Dolly home with us that day. We picked an urn out that needed special ordering. Melanie also offered other options, ones that were not available to her — which we appreciated.
When the urn arrived, Melanie delivered it and patiently waited for my wife to arrive as she was stuck in traffic. Melanie had ordered 2 of them in different sizes, to be sure that we had what would be correct. Melanie carefully placed Dolly inside, and positioned the plaque on top.
I simply cannot recommend Melanie and her Son highly enough. They don’t believe in «group» cremations, and every beloved pet receives the love and dignity they deserve from this wonderful family. This is more than a business to them, and that’s something special. In your time of need, you will find no one better.

Losing our family pet was like losing a family member. My family was devastated. Our beloved «Charlie» was a 90lb German Shepherd, so we needed to act quickly in getting the cremation process started.
I looked up many places on the internet and made several calls. I was not comfortable with the «communal cremations» and the timelines they were offering. I felt that Charlie deserved better. I found Forever My Friend Cremation on the internet and decided on using them within the first 2 minutes of our phone conversation with Melanie.
They have been so understanding and comforting during the whole process. I feel that they really care about my family and most of all, our Charlie.
We took him in the same day and Melanie was the greatest. She listened to all our questions and answered them effectively and with patience and sympathy. She showed us the urn that he will come home in and never once pushed us to buy anything else. She even went as far as suggesting that we look on the internet when we are better in mind to look for another urn.
We walked away without any doubt that our Charlie will be very well taken care of.
We are now waiting for Charlie to come back home.

Melanie and her son are amazing compassionate people who really helped make this difficult process easier to bear. Supporting a family run business was why I called them at first, but I’m recommending them becuase of the amazing service they provided our family. Melanie got back to me right away, costs were very reasonable, service was impecable, but most important she made us feel comfortable with the utmost respect for our loss. She handled our pet with the care as if he was her own. Thank you so much, Russell will be in our hearts forever.

The people at Forever My Pet Cremation turely understand the bond between a pet and its master. Melanie is so compassionate on both occasions that we had to take our pets in. One was a 150 lb Newfoundland and the other was a German Shepherd /​Chow mix, our guard dog. This is the first time I have Unilocaled anybody and I give FMPC my highest reguard. Call them, your heart will be at peace.

this place rocks they took care of my buster boy I was impressed that they have a 4 to 5 day turn around and they do it on the premises IE they have their own oven my buster passed and i had him in a cardboard box on the floor of my kitchen and i wanted to take care of him asap he lived a long and good life i called and within the hour i had him at their place of business in Gilroy it was not a bad drive from San Jose i dropped him off and they gave me time to say my final goodbyes this was on 04/​12/​2012 and they delivered him to my door on 04/​17/​2012 great service great urn all around great service that your pet will get what they deserve to be handled with dignity if you take them to the vets office they will handle the remains like trash that is why i cut out the middle man i didn’t want buster waiting in the freezer for up to two weeks while the other places picked him up i just could not think of him having to be in the freezer so long… what is nice is that they answer the phone unlike other services i can’t say enough about this place you will not be disappointed
Oh yes one other thing there was no hidden charges what they quoted is what i paid and that price included a nice urn look at the pictures so the only thing i could have spent more on was a fancy urn but i was very satisfied with the standard one included in the price and it came with the engraved plaque all in all very good value for the money…

I had to put one of our dogs down recently, and was devastated. Melanie of Forever My Pet Cremation was wonderful to work with and the cost of cremation was very affordable. I live north of Fremont, and she was able to pick up and deliver as far as Fremont, saving me the long drive to Gilroy. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Last Sunday, I had the unfortunate task of looking for and calling out a pet cremation service for a dear friend of mine who’s cat had tragically been run over. I looked up on the good ol’ Internet and up came this business. I read the Unilocal reviews and called myself… taking into account that one of the reviews said «even if it is a Sunday leave a message they will get back to you». Sure enough within minutes the phone rang and a very nice considerate lady called back and said she just finished with a client and could come to our house to pick up the cat within 15 minutes. I was stunned and delighted that everything I read on Unilocal was true and that my friend could continue her grieving process without having to worry about this major deal.
I high recommend this business if you ever need it!

When I found out that I had to put my best friend down, it was the hardest and saddest thing that I have ever had to do. On top of putting my dog down, I also had to find a place for him to be cremated where I knew he would be cremated by himself and his little body would be treated well. All of this happened within 24 hours.
The vet came to our home at 10:00am, put our dog to sleep and then I drove him down to Gilroy. The owner Melanie met me right away and really helped with the horrible stress that I was going through.
Then a few days later, Melanie personally delivered his ashes in a beautiful engraved box inside a just as beautiful fabric sack. Thank you Melanie for going the extra mile in such a difficult time…

This is always a tough situation when a dear friend departs our world but I have to say, I stumbled on Forever My Pet Cremation and couldn’t be happier.
It is truly a family run business with the compassion and heart that you just don’t get else ware. My late mother’s 21 year old feline friend passed away this morning and Forever My Pet made this tough time much easier. Very fast replies to my initial email inquiry, very sincere and understanding on the phone, and truly sympathetic in person.
I once had a vet deal with this and they treated our deceased pet like a piece of trash. It was very calming to see Forever My Pet handle her remains so gently and somberly.
They are based in Gilroy but it is a nice drive from San Jose and it allowed me some quiet reflection time with our Kitty for one last trip. I do believe they also offer pickup service as well.
I hope someone who, unfortunately, is going through losing their pet will see this review and give them a ring, it’s a small business that offers service that you just don’t get nowadays.
If you are worried about the cost as I was, just call and see. You might be pleasantly surprised like I was.
