I did purchase this appliance from this store, but it isn’t their fault Home Depot protection plan service is so bad. This is a bad review for their protection plan support on appliances.
In 2015, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher for around $ 600. We bought the 3 year protection plan for another hundred dollars or so. The reason for this model was that all the buttons were hidden on the top of the door so our toddler daughter wasn’t going to be there all day pushing buttons.
The dishwasher worked fine for a few months and then started running on its own. Even pressing the power button wouldn’t turn it off. We had unplug the unit from the wall so it would turn off. So we called Home Depot protection plan to have it serviced. The day the tech came out, I plugged it back in and it worked (just my luck.) He was nice enough to order two circuit boards for it if it happened again.
6 months later and of course on Thanksgiving day, it started having the same exact problem. So we called Home Depot protection plan to have it serviced. Home Depot gave us a time and date. Cool. A day later, the service company called me to schedule an appointment. I told the guy on the phone that I already made an appointment. He told me Home Depot doesn’t know what they are doing and that I have to schedule though him. Okay. His next appointment available was a week and half later. Awesome. I love doing dishes by hand. (insert sarcasm.)
So they send out a tech in early December. He replaces the circuit boards. He cleans out parts of the inside of the dishwasher and grabs one of the vegetable brushes off our counter and starts cleaning the inside of our dishwasher with it. WTF? Anyways he leaves and it works again.
A week and half later. The same issue pops up again. This is getting ridiculous. So again, we call Home Depot protection plan. They set an appointment for the next week. They give me a time of 12−4pm. My wife takes off a half day of work to be there. 4pm comes and goes. So I call the service company. BIG SCREEN UNLIMITED. Call goes straight to voicemail. I leave them a detailed message of how they were supposed to come to our house between 12−4pm that day. Gave them the service number. My phone number. (Still no call or email from them after 3 days. Very unprofessional.)
So I call Home Depot protection plan to see what’s going on. After waiting 10 minutes on hold, my wife gets and email from Home Depot protection plan stating our service was completed. WTF? I am baffled. Finally after 25 minutes of waiting I get a service rep on the phone from Home Depot and tell her the service company never showed up. Her response was hmmmmm. Okay. Well let’s see if we have a more reliable service company. Really? SMFH by now. Then she tells me we will call you in 3 business days with another company to come and service your appliance. By now I am fuming. And then she has the gall to ask me to complete a survey for her service. GTFOH.
Home Depot only accepts a lemon law and replacement after the 4^th service call. If we ever get this 3^rd service call completed and it breaks again, I am going to short fuse myself.
So now I am stuck with a $ 600 dishwasher that takes up space and is now being used as a wet dish rack. I am completely disgusted with this whole experience. And will no longer buy appliances from Home Depot ever again. Lowe’s here we come.

what ever you do don’t order any flooring, from them especially from a lady named Jackie she’s all gun hoe to help you but as soon as the sale is made she acts like she’s never seen you, plus they don’t have a problem electronically taking your money out of your account, but ask them to track your order and she has no idea how too plus she never answers her phone and never calls you back. I Will never ever shop at the home Dumb ass depot again, from now on its all about LOWES.

My boyfriend and I were renovating our home so we were going back and forth to Home Depot & Lowe’s for the past couple months. Every time we went to Home Depot, an employee always asked us if we needed help. We definitely want John, Mike, Christian and Chay to know that they are doing an amazing job and want to make sure they are recognized. As far as our visits to Lowe’s, we were never acknowledged and seemed as if we were pests when we asked for help. From my experience, I would definitely avoid Lowe’s from the unsatisfactory service. Home Depot shows very satisfying customer service and am happy to be a loyal customer. Service from Home Depot:
John — He is our Home Depot guru. He knows a lot about the products in the store. If he doesn’t know, he will find out. We find him everywhere and he always has knowledge about products we may be interested in.
Mike — He is always very helpful and does what he can for us. We feel very comfortable going to him for any questions or concerns.
Christian — He will go out of his way for us. He goes above and beyond to help us find what we are looking for. He is very personable and will take the time to make sure we are set before we leave.
Chay — He is quick to ask us if we need help. He lead us to the right people for what we were looking for.
Home Depot has definitely showed us that they cared about our needs. It just so happened that the last night we were at Home Depot…3 of the 4 guys from different departments were in the Customer Service area and I snuck a picture (look at photos). Lol… good job guys! Keep up the awesome service!

I had a problem with the hardwood floors installed by a contracted company Home Depot hired. When Tim at the «Floor department» was contacted regarding the issue, he instantly came out to look at the problem. He then organized for a different company to fix the problem. He went above and beyond, driving to my place several times during the repair to make sure everything was O.K. The floor looks great now. After all was done Home Depot then gave me a very generous refund for all the trouble and inconvenience. Home Depot came through and owned their mistake! Everyone was extremely helpful and supportive!

Ignored and bored, again. Every time I come here, I leave with a grimace. The worst hardware store around. Nobody seems to know anything about customer service or the most rudimentary aspects of hardware. (I’m typing this as I wait for help. Lady has called over the intercom TWICE for help in plumbing. Nada!)
10 minutes. Turns out nobody knows how to work the pipe cutter.
Yep.

Visited Home Depot this last holiday season and was totally pretty impressed by the excellent customer service provided. Jeremy and Kyle were sweethearts. They helped load our Christmas Tree for us and were incredibly careful when it came to making sure they didn’t scratch my truck. :)
They went above & beyond and this review is long overdue! Thanks guys!

HOME DEPOT … Please, for your sake and mine. hire people that want to work !!! there are many outside your doors that are willing to dig holes to feed their families … lets set an example by those inside wanting to work .
I needed some help in Lumber and although there was a few people waiting I waited for some help. I got passed by the first man that came up due to an older woman needing assistance. ok fine. I was told that the «guy «over there would help… I first off had to follow him walking away to stop… with the usual drill of. Sir … Matt? . can you help me ?
Once he started to pay attention. I asked him about the piece of trim I needed and had purchased there prior… seemingly out of stock… well the next 20 minutes of every idea and statement. even when looking online. Stating they dont have them even online… once i explained what they were called it helped find them online. now with my assistance. I guess I didnt take NO for an answer…
I was met by many many obstacles of «Not «being able to get the pieces I needed … even stating. well thats a special order and if you order over 45 dollars that can be shipped to your house. I asked about having a few pieces sent to the store and still met with a «not really going to happen «mentality.
I finally asked him … What should I do Matt? … I need these pieces. met again with a lazy response of how unlikely it would be. I lost it… I told him that in 25 years of construction. I have not met with this kind of frustration from an employee supposedly trying to HELP me…
I met with the manager Becca. and was assisted quickly and professionally … although in the end it was handled very efficiently with many solutions. the process was still inexcusable.

This place is terrible at customer service. I waited almost 30 minutes just to get blinds cut. One person even told me that it’s not his department so he can’t help me.

Ok, this review has nothing to do with customer service or availability of anything. This store is usually fine in relation to all that. This one star review is because 2 days ago I purchased approx $ 100 in lumber for a home project and it is INFESTED WITH TERMITES. DISGUSTINGLY INFESTED. There is ZERO chance it came from our home. We purchased the wood on Friday night. It has been sitting in the bed of the truck over 30 feet from any tree or wood structure since then. Now, Monday morning it is crawling with termites and obvious termite holes all over. Sadly we did not see the holes or bugs at the store (it was 8pm and we were in a hurry) or we would have shown everyone we could find. Did a little research online and it seems to be a common problem with Home Depot wood and then they deny it was there to begin with making themselves not liable. Fortunately, this wood was only needed as forms and not integral wood that needs strength, so after treating it with termite spray, we can still use it for our project.
I don’t know if it is unrealistic because termites live in wood, but I would hope there was SOME SORT of quality control and inspection of items Home Depot intended to sell, especially when they can be for huge life altering projects that depend on strong wood.
I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy wood from Home Depot again.

At some point you gotta know when to give up. For me that was 36 minutes, 28 seconds waiting for «the next available associate» to answer, aka the operator. Was their a strike? Good thing their competition is right down the street. Home Depot — 0, Lowes — 1

Terrible customer service here, could not find a single employee to help me out for over twenty minutes, and when eventually found someone they didn’t speak english, and they smelled like marijuana (not that I really care, but seriously at work? Use some body spray or something amigo)
Then the self checkout did not work what so ever and there was no attendant either. I had to end my visit here without anything, so I just went to ace they were very helpful!

Had SUCH a great experience here today, they really go above and beyond all my expectations.
This is not the home depot we’re all used too. People are friendly, you can find them out and about not hiding in someone else’s department like I’m used to them doing.
I’d go back to this one again and again for the things I need.

I can’t return again. I’m so tired of the crappy cusotomer service there. Today we went looking for some curtain rods and other materials. We walked past a young girl sitting at the computer near the curtain rod section. I couldn’t find a double rod so I went to the desk where the young girl was sitting. She was talking with two other employees (a young guy and middle aged lady). I had to break up their conversation to ask for help. I asked the young girl for help with finding a double curtain rod. She asked, «didn’t you find them?» Really, I wonder why I asked for help then. So I replyed that I wasn’t sure about a couple of the items on display. So she told me to check on-​line and I might find what I wanted that way. No help from her at all. Guess I should have appologized for asking for help.
Well I left my full shopping cart in the middle of the store and we left. We’re done with this place.
We went to their biggest competitor and found everything we wanted.

This Home Depot meets all our hardware needs and I think has good deals.
Great garden and paint centers. I feel the staff in these areas are above average as far as being friendly and helpful — thumbs up!
3 stars because it just really hard to find someone to help on the floor and for me this is negative. Not sure if they’re short staffed, or super busy, or what? As a mom /​typical unhandy woman, I always need help in here! So I notice when help is hard to find.

This location is way better than the Home Depots in San Jose. I have never had a problem getting help. On every visit, I have always had one or two associates ask me if they could help me with anything. Plus, they are awesome with returns when I purchase the wrong items.

They have changed from the worst to one of the best. I came in for a few items and was helped by friendly staff in almost every department.
I have not been here in years due to the poor service in the past. In the past no one wanted to help, and if they did it was bad service.
Something changed here for the best.

I love this store.
Very hard to find help though. Three people later, finally I found someone who could help me find what I was looking for.
Paul was a huge help. Great customer service. Too bad it took me 30 minutes to get in and out for a few parts. It is just so hard to find someone to help you. Compare it to trying to find someone in a corn maze.

This home depot location has a good selection, and the employees do a fine job. It’s definitely a one-​stop shop for any home projects. They also have an exceptional paint selection, and the people working the paint section know what they’re doing. Props to those ladies.
If you need help you’ll definitely have to track an employee down. That’s no surprise though; the store is gigantic.
