Airstream Adventures Northwest

Was on the fence and looking for a nice one and decided to visit these guys. Lined me up with a gorgeous 27ft Cloud Twin. We opted for the 2016 with the new heating cooling options in the ceiling. We are still at awe with the purchase and service. I buy a few cars and wish I could get the same experience as I received with Airstream Northwest! Thumbs up here. Looking forward to years of service and many great voyages.

We purchased an Airstream from them last summer. I had not previously reviewed our experience with Airstream Adventures Northwest. After I read the only negative review, I decided to share our experience. It was FABULOUS!!! I have never had a better and more enjoyable «big item» buying experience. We dealt with Dusty, Jill and Katie. Our dealing with them could not have been better – unless they would have given the trailer to us free. There was absolutely no pressure and you feel like you are dealing with friends, which they soon become.
We had been looking for an Airstream for some time before making our decision to buy one. Our neighbors had purchased one from another dealership. I knew what they paid for theirs and from my investigation I had some idea of what a fair price would be. We agreed on a price for a 2015, 25ft. Flying Cloud. When we came back the next day to finalize the deal, we were informed that the 2015 trailer we settled on was actually a 2016, the sticker price of which was $ 3,000 more. They had made a mistake. The sales people told us, «If you think you got a good deal before, let me tell you that you got even a better deal.» I practiced law for 40 years and know they could have tried to renegotiate the price because of the mutual mistake and I was prepared to do that, perhaps split the difference. That never came up. They sold us the 2016 for the price of the 2015, without any hesitation.
Our experience with the service department, from Lora and Tim in the office, to Lucy who washes and details the trailers and everyone in between, has been just as enjoyable. If you’re in the market and don’t at least give them a chance, you’re shorting yourself. Incidentally, our neighbor who had purchased a new Airstream from another dealer bought a bigger one at, you guessed it, from them.

If six stars was an option, I’d have picked it… 3^rd RV purchase — by far the best experience. After searching the Internet and speaking with multiple dealers from CA to BC, we rolled into the Gladstone location. From the minute we walked on the lot, Jill was «hands off accommodating». It was a hot day and our two kids were in tote. We came to see a bunk house, which she happily showed us. Actually, we ended up looking at every trailer on the lot. And Jill, love her, bounced between us and others (how
she found us in a sea of silver, I’ll never know) to answer questions, offer us water, dote over my kids, and just in general being genuinely nice.
My wife and I fell in love with a trailer — it met almost every one of our expectations. We decided it would be worth seeing numbers. That’s when we met Katie — what a down to earth, straight forward, non-​car sales type sales manager. She was a dream to work with and though we left to compare prices for the same unit on other lots, we left happy.
During our research, we found the offered price to be pretty reasonable — there was some room to move, so we started doing research. That’s when we found that there was a new 2016 trailer that met all of our expectations. A simple email to Katie and things were arranged — seriously, the trailer was in transit from the factory. I let her know I hate to haggle over price — so we did some of the negotiations by email. I found several other dealers (over 100 miles) that would just beat her price at about 15 below MSRP but it wasn’t on the exact trailer — all were 2015 models. I had researched a lot about getting 15−20% off. However, this was a brand new unit — so I figured we wouldn’t do as well.
We made the trek back to the dealership on July 3 with our beloved fifth wheel trade in tow. I made my first offer at about 22% below MSRP and Katie kinda called me on it (smile). With NO negotiation and just a statement about what I thought was fair (and I knew it was) she offered a price that was 13.6% below MSRP. It took me about 10 seconds to say yes.
Best new purchase experience of my life. From James who walked me through to the staff that fitted my old hitch to the service department who made adjustments here and there before we left — you could just tell that this group is a family.
Two more very telling things… While we were there, some baby ducks wandered on to the lot. I think you can tell a lot about people by how they care for children and animals — they doted to these little birds, dropping everything to help. Finally, Ted Davis, owner of the dealership, came walking through while we were there. What a down to earth guy — and so nice to my kids.

I have used their service and sales department and left with a very bad taste in my mouth.
I’ve had my Airstream for 5 years. She has been good, but it was time to let her go as my kids are getting too big for this sort of camping.
On our last trip, I found a leak from the skylight so we decided to fix that as well as minor things like the door being stiff and such before parting it to the new owners. We have spent somewhere around $ 500 to get this done. They were supposed to do a 30 or 40 point check to make sure that everything else was in order at the service department. Everything was fixed and I was told that the trailer was ready to be picked up.
At this time we decided to consign it at the dealership so we just went there to pick up our personal belongings and completely clean out the camper. I was quite upset at the condition of our camper when we got inside. We keep our camper clean. We take our shoes off. What we found was our camper floor with dirty footprints and dirty rag under the skylight that we had to clean up. I take my CAR to service at the dealership and they wash the car and makes it cleaner than when I brought it. I didn’t expect them to wash the camper or anything, but apparently they don’t mind leaving the camper much dirtier than when they received it. We were quite unhappy about this.
So WE set a reasonable price for consignment and they find a buyer within a week, which is no surprise as good of a condition as our camper was in.
This is where things get even sketchier. The sales manager calls us that there are some things that need to be fixed. It’s missing a smoke detector (for some strange reason as there was no reason for me to remove it and it was there at my last trip a month prior) and there are some wires that are slightly exposed at the 8 pin connector, which was already addressed at the dealership where I bought the camper new and they didn’t deem it dangerous or in need of fix under warranty and I’ve never had any issues.
They told me that they did a 30 – 40 point inspection after they serviced the trailer the week before? Besides, we paid $ 200+ to detail and inspect the camper before we put it in for consignment and now they tell me after they find a buyer? I tell them that it’s a 5 year old trailer, it doesn’t come with warranties. If those things bother them then they can buy a $ 15 smoke detector and fix it. But oh no, «we are a dealership and we treat customers like A FAMILY and it’s a safety hazard and we can’t sell it like that.»
Really?! They serviced our camper after their check up and told us that the camper is ready for us to pick up. They let us pick up the camper with a «safety hazard” — nice way to treat us like a family… until it comes down to wanting us to pay more to fix a problem they should have found long ago, quite minor ones at that.
So I tell her that you can raise the price on the consignment to cover for that fix then, but oh no that’s not feasible. They already agreed on the price with the buyer.
I tell them that this is a consignment and «I» set the price and told them to do what they need to do.
So the sales manager, Katie, is it? calls my wife a few days later that they will fix those problems and that I was «rude» to her. Rude? because I called her out on her BS about treating customers like «family» and how she couldn’t sell a camper with a «safety hazard» when they told us to pick up the camper after their 30 – 40 point inspection the week prior? and making a dirty mess on our camper floor after the service? and making an easy few grands with a buyer within a week of consignment? And she has an audacity to call my wife and call me rude behind my back. Nice gesture. Perhaps she is the mother in law from hell in the «family»?
Well, I got a pretty good feel of what their priorities are, and I’m happy to see our trailer that served us well go to new owners, but if we still had an airstream I sure as hell wont let them touch it nor would I buy from them.

My wife and I purchased an Airstream travel trailer in May 2012. Since then we have pulled the trailer 15,000 miles to many wonderful places, i.e., State & National Parks. We are having so much fun traveling! The longest trip was 5 months and I always feel like I have all the conveniences of our condo in NW Portland. Our 25 foot Flying Cloud is a small comfy condo on wheels with sweeping sensational vistas where ever we park it.
Adventures Northwest staff is exceptional! Management, Sales and Service are all professional and friendly. When we service the trailer, the service manager and technicians always explain in great detail the work performed. When we have questions, they take time to explain how it all works – this is our first trailer and we had to learn a lot! Our warranty work has been completed 100% to our satisfaction.
Our Airstream still looks new, feels new! I believe it is true that this trailer will be on the road a long time and is worth the investment – our 2^nd home on wheels rolling to another adventure. Check out our Airstream travel adventures at

Go to Northwest and sit in a trailer – but watch out you may get the trailer travel fever!

My wife and I purchased a new Airstream from this dealership, which we picked-​up in March 2012. The entire staff are fantastic — sales, parts and service.
We recently travelled back to Oregon (from No. Ca.) to have some warranty repairs taken care of. Again the staff were stellar.
