Very friendly staff, great selections of wine, beers and liquors. The staff are very knowledgeable.

Just passing through on my way home from NJ to Maryland and we decided we need to pick up a couple of bottles of wine to take back home with us. This liquor store has a very wide selection of wines. They also offer a discount as soon as soon as you check in with Unilocal as long as the wine end with .99 be sure to use it once you find your selection because it has a time limit once you say use it now. Enjoy l never pass up on getting a nice bottle of wine. Also has a great variety of beers as well. I always love a good discount as well so drink up!

Huge selection at Hops and Grapes! Tons of craft beer, and GREAT prices. You can also sign up for a loyalty card where you earn $ 1 for each $ 50 you spend. They also have gelato and cigars. The check out line is set up a bit odd. It’s a bit confusing since there are no true cattle-​shoots, but it worked out ok! Tons of parking as it is in a large shopping center.

Hops & Grapes is what I would call an «upscale» liquor store. The atmosphere is inviting from their cheese & gourmet coffee bar to their walk in cigar humidor. They have a great selection of wine, but also a very good selection of craft beer and liquor. Their single malt scotch selection is very plentiful. Prices are pretty average. They also have wine and cheese tastings.

Also have cigars, cheeses, gelato and other gift items. Would be a quick one stop shop for a gift and wine or bottle of your favorite spirit before a special occasion dinner.

This store has the foremost selection of craft beer, wine, and liquors out of anywhere in the area. Decent prices. Knowledgeable staff. Really all you could want is here albeit in small quantities.

Huge selection of wine and liquor as well as domestic and imported beer. This is where they are much better than many other liquor stores. When I am coming in for these items I can find exactly what I want, quickly and at a reasonable price.
The one thing that I dislike about H&P is how they deal with craft beer. While there is a good amount, there is limited quanity of each, and how it is arranged is a pain to sort though. I have gine in a few times looking for a specific beer and after looking around myself I asked someone who worked there, and it took them a while of searching before they could even they me that they did not carry it.

No seriously, this place is great. It makes my heart break that I live in Pennsylvania. I can spend an hour just walking around here — and I don’t even drink all that often!
Their wine selection is spectacular! From bottles under $ 5 to bottles I will never be able to afford.. .and so so much in between. I have purchased bottles that are under $ 7 that are fantastic. And they always are well stocked in hard to find vineyards! Know JUST what you want, I bet that you can find it. Have NO IDEA what you want, just ask one of the super wonderful employees and they will bend over backwards to help you out!
This goes for beer too, great selection and helpful employees. Plus they have a huge selection of single bottles! And you can buy less than a case if you want to — something we SHOULD be able to do west of the Delaware River!
Tons and tons of hard alcohol. Much better than the pitiful selection we have in Pennsylvania. On a recent trip I discovered flavored whipped cream with vodka in it — cool, huh?
Prices are great. Selection is Awesome! Employees are helpful and nice. Plus they have a loyalty program that gets you discounts. Oh and they have mixers and snacks — plus an nice little area where they sell more gourmet foods — nice crackers, cheese and chocolate!

I am a big fan of Hops and Grapes for their amazing wine selection. So many great wines for $ 10 and under. It is also a little cheaper to purchase on-​line and pick up in the store. They find the wines, box them up, you pay online, and just show up to pick up!

This is the best liquor store in the area. The store has a nice atmosphere and doesn’t feel dingy like so many other liquor stores. They sell gelato, cheese, glassware, mixers, little gifts, and cigars as well as the widest selection of the liquor in the area. If you can’t find an item (which is a rare occurrence) they will happily order it for you. Make sure to get the frequent customer card as well so you can get discounts!

This is a very nice store to visit. They have a tremendous selection in every category; they carry specialty items (like fine cheeses, cigars, etc); and their staff is always willing to help you find whatever you’re looking for. But, most importantly, their prices are very competitive and you can rarely beat them anywhere else, no matter what you’re buying. They even offer a «Hops & Grapes» account card which saves you additional money. You can’t beat this place!

Easily the best selection of wines and beers (both domestic and imported) in town and the prices are competitive with the other stores in the area. I’ll miss this place and its awesome selection after I graduate in May.

One of the best liquor stores I’ve come across in SoJo. Great selection and awesome prices are what makes Hops & Grapes rise above the rest. A friend summed it up pretty well «the Wegman’s of liquor stores.» I live about 20 – 25 mins away but don’t mind making the trek here every now and then. My only complaint is the staff. Not terrible yet not the friendliest. Just kind of blahh. However, the prices alone are what bring me back.

It seems that H&G sells both wine and beer and that someone there has a particulary good palate, such that some of the best bargain wines are recognized for their superior quality and the wines are competitively priced.
Unfortunately, after clicking through to the H&G site on multiple occasions and cancelling the order before placing the order, I’ve begun to understand their business model … break even on the wines and make it up on the overpriced shipping.
The net result of the model has been that the wines, however well priced, end up being a couple of dollars per bottle more than the competition «all in». This is a merchant that I truly wanted to support, but, after going the the ordering process more than once and cancelling, when the $ 40 per case shipping chargers were added, I decided that it simply wasn’t worth the trouple and price ordering from H&G. The «discount the wine and make it up in shipping costs» business model is one that I found insulting.
If you buy a $ 50 bottle of wine by the case, $ 40 per case doesn’t matter. If you’re buying an ostensibly discounted $ 12 wine, and adding $ 3.50 per bottle in shipping costs, the bargain disappears. I cancelled my subscription to their offerings. In short, the company’s good palate caused me to subscribe to their offerings. The hidden charges caused me to unsubscribe. I wish them luck. I’m truly disappointed.

Great liquor store! Great selection of wine, beer, and spirits. I think monster beverage down the street might have a slightly better beer selection, but you would only notice if you’re a beer fanatic. If you feel like splurging, they have some cool vintage bottles of wine and some nifty spirits I can’t find other places. Also, they have an impressive walk-​in humidor if you like cigars. They also wine tastings every fri, and you can order some of there wines on there website. I’ve never ordered online, so I’m not exactly sure how it works, but the option is there.

Maybe I was expecting more wow factor having read the reviews, I dunno. To me, this store is almost a dead ringer for Wineworks on Route 70 in Cherry Hill (
). I mean right down to the instore signage and shopping card. That being said, I don’t know if the Glassboro area has a Wineworks…
Lots of good beer selection (still lots of Christmas beer if that’s what you like), bit less of a selection in the booze department. They sell cheese and fancy frozen desserts and cigars (throw in flowers and chinese food and you’re on your way to date night).
Staff was OK; aisles could be wider. Very hard to find the store.

Hops & Grapes is awesome for selection. It is by far my favorite liquor store for novelty, especially when you are looking for things like a half gallon jug of Dead Guy Rogue or a bottle of sparkling mead. They even have a membership card that earns you discounts.

Hops and Grapes appeared a few years ago in a vacant shopping center in downtown Glassboro, just around the corner from Rowan Unversity. What once was a discount supermarket is now a superstore of the finest wines, beer, and liquor. They also have fine cigars and gormet cheeses available. Not only does this place have a large variety of spirits, but it has a cozy atmosphere that will suck you right in to casually browse through the isles of premium wines and weekly discounted items. This is one of those places you can spend hours checking out all the wines even if you are not a wine expert. Many of the sale items have a small write up describing the wine and what food pairings are recommended. Hops and grapes owners Max and Felipe have taken their store up a notch by posting a weekly YouTube video of weekly specials and samplings. This 3 minute video is educational (great tips about choosing/​pairing wines) and entertaining (Max is always hamming it up in front of the camera to piss off his brother Filipe) plus, they announce a hand selected winner from their YouTube subscribers to win a $ 25 gift card! Friday evenings from 4 – 7, Hops & Grapes also hosts a wine and cheese tasting. This summer they featured the top 15 wines of the summer for under $ 15. This place does not lable itself as a «discount» liquor store nor do they look it but you would be surprised how many times I have walked out of there with a cart full of quality beverages for under fifty dollars. They also feature a large selection of local wines. The staff is very helpful and eager to assist your wine needs. Buy some wine on sale here so you can spend the money you save on a nice wedge of Primadonna cheese. This is the place for all your alcohol needs! They also deliver!!!
