History

Established in 1960.

Matthews Well and Pump was started in the 1960’s. Jack Matthews drilled numerous wells in the greater Richmond area. Todd and Jill Vander Pol purchased the business in 1989. Our focus has been the repair and installation of quality water well pump systems and filtration systems. In 2008 we expanded the business to include the boring of water wells. Our long history and experience in the area has made us a valuable choice for the repair or installation of your water well pump and filtration systems. We look forward to working with you.

Business Owner

Todd Vander Pol has been in the construction business for 37 years. He started driving a semi at age 14 in South Dakota working for his father’s redi-​mix concrete company. Yes, it was legal! He has always been an ambitious, inquisitive person and enjoys finding ways to solve problems. He has been working in the water well industry for 21 years and is a Certified Water Well Technician with the National Ground Water Association, has a Class A Business License, Certified Master Water Well Systems Provider, and a Certified Waterworks Operator all from the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has a great deal of experience and knowledge regarding the water well issues in the greater Richmond area.
