I am quite disappointed with this place. Pretty much every time I had visited, there’s always been an issue. Since this place is somewhat local, I kept telling myself, maybe next time they’ll get it right. Or next time the food will taste better. However, I have gotten fed up with continuing to get crappy food that is over priced. I will definitely be searching for other local carry out restaurants! This last visit, the fried rice tasted and felt like the rice is two days old. It was hard, dry and in general, just did not taste right. The General Tso chicken is borderline mediocre. It’s too ginger-y and soggy! It’s not crispy at all. Once I had tried the beef chow mein. I never had chow mein before so I google what it should look like(I would recommend googling beef chow mein). It looked pretty good. Lots of noodles with some vegetables and meat. Well, at this restaurant, it was mostly sauce and onions. The minimal amount of beef morsels(which is part of the name of this dish), were literally the size of six rice grains! To top it all off, the most important thing, the NOODLES, were freeze freeze dried noodle cracker things! None of the google images, shown dried noodles as part of this dish! Do me a favor and google image beef chow mein noodles. To give you an idea of what it looks like at Hong Kong Restaurant, imagine a brown slop with an abundant amount of onion strips, with dry noodles on top. This was a compete let down. The soups are horrible. Especially the egg drop soup! If you like the feeling of eating bland chicken flavored snot, then this would be your soup. Numerous times, I get my order incorrect, but too afraid to bring the mistake to their attention, in fear of them tampering with my food. Overall, I do not recommend this place, local or not. I’m sure there are better carry out places in this area. I know, I will not be returning.

Crappy place. Better food at this price else where. A rip off for what you actually get. They always gets my order wrong and the hygiene to this place is questionable and run down. You order chow mien you get a pile of starchy sauce, no noodles, mostly filler starch and onions. I believe chow mien meant noodles, no noodles you get a pile of throw up. Egg drop soup? How about water with food coloring with a whole lot of corn starch to make it jell-o like? Flavorless yellow slime. You order shrimp toast, you get a pile of egg plant with soy sauce. I ordered beef broccoli here and got chicken broccoli. This place always messes up order, they can barely cook.

Went in here the other day to grab a quick bite to eat. Food was made while I waited, and was super quick. It was pretty good, but not great. Menu was lacking some staples(I didn’t see sesame chicken for example), but what I had was good and I’d eat there again, no questions… but I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to get here. Not sure how it compares to other places in the area. It may very well be the best around like others have suggested, but IMO that reflects poorly on the area, not great on the restaurant.

I had the steamed dumplings, which are my favorite Chinese food item. They did them perfectly, great flavor, and really nice texture to the dumpling dough. I will be back. The décor is pretty shabby, though, it’s in need of new carpeting and a general face-lift. I almost gave them a three-star for that instead. If ambiance is important to you, get take-out.

I think this is the best Chinese food in the area. They have fast delivery and the gentleman who takes the orders is very sweet if you take the time to talk to him. I’ve ordered here more times than I can count. I would recommend their beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli in white sauce, chicken wings off their appetizers, any of their lo meins, kung pao chicken, sesame and general tso’s chicken, and egg foo young. Their prices are more expensive during dinner, but their lunch combination specials are $ 5! You can’t beat that! Pork fried rice, or white rice, main entrée, and either a soda or egg roll.
