History

Established in 1975.

U-​Store is one of the pioneers in the Self Storage industry, having built the first facility in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1975 and the first facility in the Washington D.C. area in 1977. We now have facilities in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We have opted to compete on quality and service rather than price. From our history comes our motto «The Areas First Self-​Service Storage Facility». Our motto says a lot about our company in many ways, but it is our employees who put this motto to work for all of our customers to see and experience.

Manager

Hi, I’m Alan. I am originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and a proud graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am the site manager for the Glen Burnie, MD facility and have been a part of the U-​Store family for over 11 years. With over 20 year’s experience in the rental and leasing industry, I understand the value of providing excellent customer service. We strongly stand by U-Store’s Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Communication, and Appearance when striving to create a good customer experience and customer loyalty. I feel the development of customer relationships and helping our customers with their many diverse needs for storage are the most satisfying aspects of the job.
