The hideaway is now called the «The Lighthouse«and its under new management, and it needed it. They specialize in seafood and raw bar. The west coat oysters were clean sweet and delicious. The lobster roll has too much lobster and its yums. There is an outside bar and outdoor seating across the marina. Dine alfresco or indoors. The burgers are served with brioche buns are enormous served with either sweet potato fries or seasoned fries. For seafood lovers try the New England clam bake, you won’t be disappointed . Lobster special 7 days a week ‚ lunch or dinner $ 24.95

Décor; plastic flowers on tables, surrounded by blue hair at lunch and seashells on mauve walls. Food okay, on par with most diners. Service, excellent. Like many places near the water, you’re paying more for location than quality.

On a slow midweek night, a burger and salad should not take an excruciatingly long time, leaving people exasperated and hungry(and with a restless toddler to boot – they can only color for so long). Staff including three waiters/waitresses and the kitchen should not be this tar in winter slow when serving only three tables. When the food finally arrived, I was further let down by a very average salad and a sub-par burger. It’s a burger. Come on people! How can you get this so wrong? I honestly don’t know what is going on with this place. The place also seems to have an identity crisis. Is it a restaurant or a diner? It looks like a restaurant(although bland and awkwardly laid out), acts like a restaurant, charges restaurant prices, but delivers diner quality food. The servers are diner-friendly which sort of covers for the painfully slow kitchen. Maybe my eyes deceived me but did I see a high school/college kid manning the stove? Add another tick to the diner column. My final verdict was diner masquerading as restaurant. The people are nice, but what a dining experience really boils down to is the food and the service provided and both were sorely lacking. They won’t be around long if they keep up this kind of nonsense. Kinda reminded me of the sort of ineptitude I’ve seen on the show Hell’s Kitchen without any of the yucky stuff. Maybe the place had an off night, but I won’t be back to find out.

Went here for Father’s Day — New ownership… it has turned into a diner. The menu used to be somewhat gourmet but now it’s omlettes and hashbrowns:(

Restaurant near the water. The Hideaway is aptly named since it is somewhat buried towards the back of a marina which also requires you to navigate a pothole strewn parking lot that resembles the moon to get to it… The inside is nice enough — light and airy– not really my kind of place– I like it dark and dreary when having a cocktail. There is an outdoor pavilion area of sorts but no real privacy or separation for the aforementioned parking lot. There is a smallish bar area inside but again the whole place it too light and airy– and it could really use some nautical décor or something on the walls. There is a pizza station type area when you first walk in and dining rooms right and left– the menu seems somewhat limited to me and there wasn’t a great choice of appetizers, but the menu is heavy on salads, sandwiches and burgers. They serve breakfast and it seems to me that this place is mainly geared to the boating crowd and trying to grab as much other business as they can. There is apparently live music at times outside but we weren’t there at that time. Parking lot available– but because of the huge potholes, use your old piece of crap pickup and not your nice car to go here…
