Sculpturesite Gallery takes great pleasure in advising on the acquisition of modern and contemporary fine art sculpture. For 25 years we have worked with clients to place sculpture in corporate art collections, hotels, hospitals, private collections, medium-to-large-scale architectural projects, and civic public art displays.
We draw on over two decades of fine art sculpture knowledge and expertise to locate or commission the best possible work for your specific needs. Because we represent over 70 mid-career and established sculptors, and we regularly work with other dealers and galleries, we are able to offer a vast assortment of possible solutions for virtually any art placement situation.
History
Established in 1990.
Sculpturesite Gallery is the latest realization of co-owners Brigitte Micmacker and John Denning, who first founded A New Leaf Gallery in Berkeley in 1990. In 2005, they moved A New Leaf Gallery to Sonoma, and opened Sculpturesite Gallery in the heart of the bustling Museum and Cultural District of SOMA in San Francisco, just one block from SFMOMA. In 2010, Micmacker and Denning consolidated both sculpture galleries to their Cornerstone Sonoma location as A New Leaf Gallery | Sculpturesite. In 2015, the gallery returned to its shorter, more focused name of Sculpturesite Gallery, and moved to Jack London Village in the neighboring small town of Glen Ellen.

Business Owner
Born and raised in France, Brigitte Micmacker studied art, ecology and botany, and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1978. In 1990, she and her artist husband John Denning launched A New Leaf Gallery, and she began curating six to nine exhibitions per year. She has also been invited to curate off-site exhibitions on several occasions, and most notably, she was the guest curator of «Sculpture in Motion» for the Atlanta Botanical Garden in 2008. This important survey of kinetic sculpture featured George Rickey along with 12 top contemporary kinetic sculptors.
Over her 20+ year career as a gallerist focusing on sculpture, BrigittMicmacker’s extensive knowledge of contemporary and modern sculpture has been widely recognized and she is frequently called upon to advise on sculpture placement and commissions, jury shows and exhibitions, and award prizes in her field.
When she is not curating or working with collectors, Micmacker enjoys her home at the Sea Ranch on the Sonoma Coast.
