John C Workman, DDS

Dr. Workman is a great dentist. He really spends time with the patients and cares about their health. The hygenists are super thorough and know their stuff. I had Daina today, who was awesome. I like that Dr W. takes a wait-​and-​see approach with doing work sometimes. Over the 10+ years I’ve been going there, lots of times he has said «let’s keep an eye on this area» instead of always wanting to do work.
I’ve also had various different insurances (and none at times) over the years, and they’ve been understanding if I wanted to wait to have something done, or get it in before the end of the year, etc.
I originally started going to Dr. Workman because it was in the same building as my office. Now I’ve changed jobs several times and I still stay with this dentist. The work he’s done for me has held up perfectly and my teeth have stayed really healthy. I’m really glad I found him, and my daughter (age 6) has been very comfortable there too.

Nothing but praise for Dr. Workman! I’ve been going here for regular hygiene appointments for 20 years and still make the trek from Chicago every 6 months. The whole staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to listen to your concerns while giving professional and honest feedback. Also, the team is flexible and able to work around your schedule when booking appointments.

About six years ago I spent time researching finding a new dentist in the western suburbs. I’m so glad I did and came upon Dr. Workman’s office!
After being recommended by an acquaintance, I «stopped by” two dentists office. The results were night and day. The receptionist at Dr. Workman’s office took the time to walk me around, introduce me to the hygienist, see the office and offer a quick hello to the dentist. Let’s just say that my other stop was not as welcoming.
The hygienist, Jane, is both talented and personable. I am always comfortable asking her questions and she does a great job removing all the gunk that’s not supposed to be there.
Dr. Workman has been a valuable ally in maintaining great oral health. I came in with some pretty severe gum disease and, with a schedule of cleanings and periodontal care, I am happy to say that my mouth is now in tip top shape.
He does give you options for opportunities to improve your smile, but he is always respectful of your opinion on how comfortable you are doing something major or nothing at all. I think cosmetic dentistry is a part of the tools he offers, but whether you choose to do that or not is certainly up to you. I have never felt pressure to do anything more than maintain the teeth I currently have.
Developing a long term relationship with a dental practice is important to me, and I’m so glad that I found this dental practice. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is sometimes there is a wait when schedules clash, but other than that, this is a professional and knowledgable practice.

I hate going to the dentist and I honestly don’t mind coming here. It never hurts and I feel so comfortable. Jane is so sweet along with everyone else. I highly recommend this place!
