Linea Hair Salon & Day Spa

Both my Husband and son go to Linea for their hair cuts. I love their stylist Monika! She always does a great job. But the place is sort of dumpy inside. Needs a major update for the prices they charge. From the minute you walk in the door to the bathrooms, all of it is very dated and does not seem like a salon/​spa experience.

I was in desperate need of a haircut so on a whim on Saturday morning, I gave this place a call and they had an appointment for me within the next hour.
It looks really small from the outside but it’s actually a pretty big salon. I was a bit nervous because there was a lot of elderly people there, but if they can tolerate cranky old ladies then they must be the nicest people on the planet.
I can’t remember my stylist’s name, but she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and personable. She did a fantastic job and I already booked my next appointment with her.
If you live near Glen Ellyn, I HIGHLY recommend you go here. The prices are on point for the services that they provide and they have a cappuccino machine.

A very clean, warm, and rustic atmosphere inside. Front desk is very helpful in answering an questions via phone. Every stylist is literally a master of their craft. I get gift certificates for all my female family members and relatives that are serious about their appearance. Stylists are familiar with all hair cuts styles from very conservative to very edgy and avant garde. Price range is very reasonable considering service skill level.

I moved to Glen Ellyn a few years ago and was very hesitant to try a new stylist. Luckily, I found & Linea! This spot is great because it is comfortable, yet well-​maintained, they have a fantastic and personable staff, and Chiara, my stylist, is wonderful! She got my color and cut right on the first try and continues to be fantastic three years later! Not only are the stylists great, but everyone from the shampoo girls to the front desk staff are friendly and accommodating.

I’ve gone here a few times and I really like it.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars: The location is not ideal and parking is a nightmare, the girl who shampooed me was a little rough, and you can’t put your tip on your credit card.
I didn’t know about the last one and I’m obviously not going to stiff a stylist, so I had to drive to find an ATM and head back there. (Where I got stuck at a railroad crossing. Again, location.)
That said, I love the staff. They all seem very friendly and like they have long-​term relationships with their clients. They offer you drinks and make you comfortable.
I’ve left feeling pretty every time I go.
The only reason I decided to try a new place was the location and to try to find a cheaper alternative. I found that their prices are comparable.

I’ve gone here twice for an all-​over color. My hair is notoriously difficult to get right. Although it’s a pretty simple color brown, it never seems to take the color correctly and I usually end up with roots that are significantly lighter than the ends.
The first time I went there, I ended up needing to get it colored a second time (and they fixed it without any trouble). The second time I went, though, Stefan, a different stylist, was really great and somehow got the color exactly right on the first try. Not an easy feat! I think the prices are pretty reasonable and I’d definitely go back to see Stefan.

Although I have moved away from the area, I drive back as often as I can to see Aric for a cut and brow wax. He really takes the time to talk with you about what kind of cut and style you are going for. Sometimes I just ask for a simple trim, and a few others I have gotten a crazy new style that has changed my entire look. Either way, it has always been awesome.
Everyone is super nice every time I have called, checked in, and checked out. I keep going back because I leave with a great cut and a great experience with the people at Linea.

I spent over an hour on the internet searching for a place to get my hair cut. I was being pretty picky though. It had to be a hair salon and they had to take walk-​ins. I had already been considering a haircut for a few days. I am a spontaneous person so if I’m going to chop 18 inches off my mane, then I need it to happen PDQ!
I happened to see this place from the street a few days earlier. I looked them up on Unilocal and although the reviews were few, I had a good feeling about this place. I called the number listed and spoke to a really helpful woman. She seemed genuinely concerned about being able to meet my needs. She said I could come in right then because they had a stylist available that would be able to spend the required time with me, and since I was getting a haircut and most likely a color job, it was going to take at least an hour and a half. This was really important to me because as a walk-​in customer, I really didn’t want to be rushed like they were squeezing me into the schedule.
When I arrived, I sat down with Chiara and showed her a variety of pictures that conveyed my vision of what I wanted my hair to look like. She asked lots of questions to ensure she understood exactly what I wanted and even asked it I was sure I wanted to chop off my long hair. I assured her that I had been thinking about it for days and that I wore in a ponytail most often anyways so I might as well have something stylish. She went over hair color options and advised me on the different characteristics of each and what I should expect.
She applied the hair color first then as I waited I was offered a water or a cappuccino. I enjoyed both! They also had a wide variety of magazines to peruse while the color set in.
The hair cut went great. She was very polite and conversational and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. As the haircut progressed, she ensured me that if I wanted it shorter then she could make it shorter, even after she styled it. She did a great job and I am completely happy with the results.
I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. The big pluses are: –accommodating

One of the important things to mention is the payment options, as someone else reviewed. They do not add gratuity to credit card transactions and the fact that the receptionist on the phone informed me of this was nice. I was able to have my husband bring cash when he picked me up.
Thanks Chiara for the great haircut and color. Being that I am military and am only in Glen Ellyn every now and then, I will hate to have to go anywhere besides Linea!

My sister got an amazing cut here, and I could tell this person knew and loved doing hair.
I called for an appointment with Aric. A very friendly woman named Stephanie helped me over the phone, and let me know about the payment options. I was grateful for the run down, as they do not add tips to credit cards there. I would have felt terrible had I not known.
Day of, I arrived just barely on time. Nobody was mad or doing any foot tapping. Whew. I filled out a «first timer» card, and was given a glass of water right away. Aric was ready for me and my mess of a mane. He was friendly, happy, and had cool hair himself. I was not nervous in his chair — not for a second.
Aric checked out my hair, asked what I wanted, gave a good wash, and started fixing the mop on top. He cut quickly, but spent a good amount of time styling my hair, which I appreciated greatly. I felt like I got a great value for my money, and I will be going back.

I LOVE NIKKI at Linea! I went to her in tears after a really bad hair cut and I left smiling and now only go back to her!
