I really wanted to be a huge fan of Qdoba. I’ve always considered Qdoba and Chipotle to be pretty much the same and Chipotle ignites a ton of passion in me. Qdoba, on the other hand? Hmmm not so much — no. Some of the food was good, but some wasn’t good at all. My experience was okay, but I’m hoping that it was an off night and yes, I’m going to come back real soon to give it another go. The things I DID like: –Chicken tortilla soup. It’s pretty difficult to screw that up and Qdoba didn’t disappoint. –The ‘you pick two’ or whatever they call it. You can get 2 tacos + soup or whatever you want. It’s a great deal – now if only the tacos tasted better. –Their queso is off the chizzzzzain. I have to give them an extra star just because of this. It never lets me down. Also, their chips are BETTER than Chipotle. –Online ordering makes my life so much easier. Thank you for a beautiful and easy to navigate website! The things I didn’t so much like: –The carnitas tasted EXACTLY like Chipotle. I was expecting a little bit of a variety but it’s almost as if they’re operating on the same recipe. Don’t get me wrong, they were still good but… if I wanted Chipotle’s carnitas, I would have just went there. –The beef taco was the part that was gross to me. I try not to use the word«gross» in reviews because it’s not very descriptive but sometimes my mind is fuzzy in the vocabulary department. The meat tasted a little charred and unflavorful. I didn’t even finish it – I ended up just throwing it away. I WILL try Qdoba again especially since it’s so close to work and update accordingly, however next time I’ll stay away from the beef.

Oh — and three other good reasons to go here: great ‘frequent diner’ program — I love places that recognize regular patrons, it is very close to the College of DuPage campus(they give a discount to students), and a chocolate chip cookie that is out of this world!
