Safe-​T-​Sweep, Inc got its start in 1980. My father and mother were looking for an additional source of income. My father tells me that teachers were only making about $ 6,000 a year when he first started. He would do a couple of jobs after school and all day Saturday. My brother K.C. and I would distribute flyers in the neighborhoods that we were working. Back then we use to charge by the story, I think a one story house went for $ 30.00. Since that time we have purchased two other chimney sweep companies, one sweep was going into the missionary field and the other was concerned about the potential for cancer from always working around creosote. My parents were one of the few husband and wife companies in the industry, and yes my mom did clean chimneys. We wore the traditional Top Hat and Tails in the early days; in fact we still do wear out Top Hats to every appointment. Chimney Sweeps are considered Good Luck and some companies even make themselves available for weddings.

Wrestler by birth, attended Highland Park Elementary School and then Beverly Hills 90 210, well not exactly it was Beverly Hills Middle School in Upper Darby 19 082. I then went on to Upper Darby High school where my father was a Health teacher… I was a class clown and having my dad around really cramped my style. I transferred to Clearfield Area High School and lived with my Grandparents on a farm. I graduated from Clearfield in 1988 and went on to several colleges before moving onto the Marine Corps. Served 4 years in the Marines and got out as a Sargeant. Sold cars in North Carolina, New Bern to be exact. Home of the famous author Nicholas Sparks. Met my beautiful wife Traci and moved back to Philadelphia area to take over the family business. I have been cleaning and repairing chimneys full-​time since 1999. My father still helps me when I need him and my kids like to help as well. I have 6 boys and 3 girls and we are expecting another bundle of joy in June 2012.
