Ok… it’s way out in the middle of nowhere and with gas as expensive as it is, well, no one wants to drive out to Wildwood if they don’t have to I’m sure. But I’m telling you… this place is worth it. It’s huge and quite literally, they have anything and everything you could ever want for your garden. Also, unlike every other garden shop in the area, they still are stocked with flowers even after the Fourth of July. All the women who work there are incredibly friendly and helpful. They will help you pick out the flowers that grow best together, look best together, and then show you how to arrange them to make them grow to their full potential. they also have their own specialty baskets that they put together in the shop. Though they are a wee bit pricey, I can only imagine it would cost as much if you went around and picked each flower and plant you wanted individually and put it together at home. Also, they have these awesome things called the«downunder basket.» Supposedly, they are the only people in St. Louis to make them and they are basically an upside down plant. It’s really cool and an original gift if you are looking to bring something of this type as a hostess gift. They also have quite a collection of fountains and other yard ornaments if you are into that sort of thing as well. So… if you are as disappointed with the assortment of flowers in most of the garden shops around town, it may be worth hauling it out to Wildwood. I certainly thought so.
