The Academy offers private music lessons for all ages. We offer guitar, piano, vocals, drums, sax, flute, clarinet, recording engineering, ukulele, harmonica, composition, song writing, band rehearsals, Kindermusik for the toddlers (infant to 3 years of age group classes).

History

Established in 2000.

The Academy has been in the north shore for over a decade. It has world class musicians who have been teaching over 15+ years, and is owned by a Juilliard School of Music Graduate.

Guatemalan-​American guitarist Carlos Bendfeldt, First Prize winner in the Artists International Youth Awards, received his bachelor of music degree in classical guitar performance in 1994 from the Manhattan School of Music with virtuoso Maestro Carlos Barbosa-​Lima, Nicholas Goluses, and Mark DelPriora, and his master’s degree in guitar performance from the Juilliard School of Music in 1997 where he was the student of the renowned virtuoso and Grammy winner Sharon Isbin.

Mr. Bendfeldt gave his New York debut in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 1997 and since then his concert career has blossomed to include a second appearance at Carnegie and major concerts through North and Central America, Hawaii and the Caribbean. Mr. Bendfeldt has performed with the Williamsburg, Virginia Symphony, as well as with the members of the Johnson City, TN Symphony performing the World Premier of Appalachian Harmony.
