I contacted my home warranty company about a dying water heater and was assigned to Patel’s Plumbing. I called the company around 9:00am and was told their dispatcher would call me to set an appointment. A short while later I was called and an appointment was set same day for between 2pm and 6pm. 6:30pm came and still no plumbers. I called them and received no answer. I contacted the warranty company and they too received no answer. The service was reassigned to a more reliable plumber. Shortly after that happened the warranty company called back and said Patel’s said the appointment was actually 3pm-7pm. So not only did they no show-up for their appointment, not only did they not return my phone calls, they turned around and called me a liar. Stay away from Patel’s Plumbing, if the warranty company says your claim has been assigned to them ask for a different provider. These people are unreliable and unethical.

Calling the BBB! This company is AWFUL! We had a sump pump replaced through them in October. Well, with all this rain, it failed. They didn’t replace it because they only offer a 90 day warranty. WHAT??? Through our home warranty company, they called someone else who said that the sump pump looked second hand and there wasn’t even a brand on it. Company will do NOTHING. They do NOT stand by their products. The receptionist is rude and wouldn’t even call me back. Do NOT use this company!

Patel’s Plumbing was assigned to me through my home warranty program and he has been to my house for two separate issues. The first was a toilet seal leak– which was addressed and fixed within 5 minutes of him being there. The second was for my hot water heater– he came out and replaced it when it rusted out through the bottom. The owner and his co-worker were very helpful and knowledgable. Everything is now working fine. I will definitely be calling them in the future for any more plumbing issues I may have in my house.

I was set up with Patel’s plumbing through probably the same Home Warranty company the first reviewer mentioned. I never heard from anyone at Patel’s plumbing and based on the first review, I won’t make any effort to contact them. Patel’s is clearly a bad business, but I also have my doubts about the Home Warranty company too.

DONOTCALLPATEL’S PLUMBING! SCAMSCAMSCAM!!! Ummmm… call the Better Business Bureau, ‘cuz these guys are serious scam artists. These guys are the type of business that only stays in business because they have a deal going with a(worthless) home warranty company. Having just moved into our dream home, we had the misfortune of discovering not one, but two plumbing issues.(Side note — yes, the plumbing issues are a bummer, but we still love the house!) The home warranty company sent out Patel’s(not our choice, duh — we would have preferred the local, neighborhood plumber, but hey, you know what shysters home warranty companies are, right?). Anyway, after scheduling a window to come out between 12 and 4 on a Friday, these jokesters come out at 4:30, and proceeded to waste my time and take my hard-earned $ 75. One of the leaks was caused by the master bedroom plumbing, leading to some steady drippage into the rec room. Since we discovered the problem, we stopped using that master bathroom — only logical, right? Well Mr. Patel and his idiot sidekick(who was totally unprofessional — we’ll get to that in a minute) claimed that there was no leak b/c it wasn’t leaking while they were there. Wha??? No kidding it wasn’t leaking while you were there — we stopped using that bathroom to prevent further damage! You can clearly see the water damage caused by the leak — how is that leak nonexistent? With regard to a second leak in the basement from a cracked drainage pipe, they claimed this was an ongoing issue(it wasn’t) b/c they basement smelled musty. Any excuse, right Patel? One of the reasons we felt super comfortable buying this older home was precisely because the basement had/has ZERO must smell and has never had leaking issues before. Oh, and when they demonstrated the leak by flushing a toilet upstairs to show me how water pours from the crack, the dopey sidekick started singing«Singing in the Rain» — thanks, a-hole — that’s exactly what I need to hear seeing my basement flood. Oh, and also, totally not cool to speculate how often I have to use the restroom, just because I’m visibly pregnant(sure, this baby tends to hang out on my bladder, but no need to make such comments uninvited). So they reported to the home warranty company that the leak in the rec room was nonexistent and the basement leak had been happening for a long time. Claims were both denied, so we’re stuck covering the plumbing. Whatever — we’re using the local plumber(review forthcoming), and will never have to deal with Patel’s again, save for badmouthing them and telling everyone and the entire Unilocaliverse that they are complete scam artists and are waste of the world’s time and money. Go ahead and Google them — check out at least 6 other reviews that echo mine. Seriously, Google them now.
