History

Established in 2011.

As a first time mother I was eager to breastfeed my daughter after learning of the health benefits. I educated myself on the process and even took classes. Unfortunately, the joy of bonding was diminished because I still encountered bouts of pain, soreness, and infection. At times I wanted to throw in the towel and give up on breastfeeding altogether. Not wanting to abandon the process, I began to look for products to help with my discomfort. To my surprise, it was difficult finding products tailored to my specific needs. I thought to myself; if I’m looking for such products then so are other mothers. In my search for practical, simple and inexpensive ways to alleviate my discomfort, I developed 12-​Petals, for breastfeeding mothers. The wonderful, loving, long term benefit of better health is a direct result of breastfeeding. Our children receive these endless benefits the longer a mother breastfeeds. My goal is to help other mothers’ breastfeed longer with ease and comfort.
