They dont deserve any stars. They towed my car for a repo. They weren’t supposed to because if they could read It was a voluntary repo meaning I was supposed to turn the car in when and where the bank specified as well as turn in my keys. When my husband called to ask if they had our car the lady on the phone was extremely rude and told him he has to pay $ 30 cash only for my CHILDREN’s carseat that were in the car. We figured it was a policy of theirs so my husband went out there to pick up our things the lady refused to let him go to the car to make sure we got everything she told him give her the cash and she will bring the items outside. He got suspicious and asked why he can’t come get his stuff she went crazy on him calling him a loser who can’t pay his bills and he doesn’t deserve the things in his car for free because he’s a fucking debtor. He had to get Glendale police involved who told the woman what she’s doing is illegal and they need to learn their city codes. She was still calling my husband every name in the book in front of the cop then tried to turn it around and tell the cop my husband kept harassing her and he was trespassing. The cop told her she needs to hand over everything in the vehicle including the licence plate. And then told my husband in front her to contact the attorney general and the BBB and let them know what’s going on and seek legal action. I forgot to mention my husband called the bank on speaker in front of her to prove it was voluntary. And she said the bank was lying and the paperwork says it wasn’t.
Yea right. Shut this fuckin place down. Nobody regardless of what the circumstances are should be treated this way.

These guys are assholes… of course.
According to the Glendale Police Officer who I just spoke to, they are only allowed to charge up to $ 135 in 24 hours and up to $ 50 if it is «after hours.»
We were charged $ 200.
These businesses are literally the bane of our existence and produce more hate and loathing than ISIS and ISIL.

On March 24, 2010 I was towed by Afficient Towing & Recovery from the Firestone Tire Company in Scottsdale, Arizona. Not only did they tow me without clear notice (no signs posted in the area I was parked), they also ripped me off and charged me twice the legal amount ($ 150). When I went to retrieve my car, I was charged double by John, who said it was «after hours and towing fees are double.» I paid the fee and got my car but was upset and wanted to clarify with Scottsdale Police. They told me this was a recurring scam by towing companies and that they would make a report and dispatch an officer.
I drove back to the tow yard and they said it was legal. I called Scottsdale Police on speakerphone and the woman confirmed that they were not allowed to charge more than $ 75 in 24 hours. The towing company woman refunded me the difference but would not refund the initial $ 75 for towing my car even though I was parked in an area without signs or notice of no parking.
The sign on another part of the parking lot reads «VEHICLE TOWED AT VIOLATOR’S EXPENSE NOT TO EXCEED $ ⁷⁵⁄₂₄ HRS IF YOUR CAR HAS BEEN TOWED. CITY ORDINANCE 2242».
John said that «Normal business hours are 9 – 4:30pm and it is $ 75 between these hours. Our owner had a meeting last week with us and said no exceptions, anyone after 4:30pm must be charged double.» Surely a city tow truck company operating out of Tempe, Glendale and Scottsdale should know the law and not take advantage of it.
